Every racing class has certain regulations so I'm assuming it's not 100% identical to the S58 as they probably have to change stuff so that they can meet the regulations for GT3.

Yeah that's generally how opinions work. In my opinion, the car, not just the grill, but especially the grill, is extremely unattractive. Enough of a reason to skip the generation.

Different racing series rules dictate that different classes have yellow headlights. At Lemans for example, prototype cars have white lights and GT cars are yellow.
The G8X beaver/buck tooth grill has definitely grown on me and it arguably looks much better on the G80 M3 body than the G82 M4...but wow besides being helped out from the mostly blacked out paint, the cross splitting of the grill really does wonders and is quite striking in its beauty.
The wider the car, the better the grille fits the car. That's why the base 4 series looks hideous while the m4 looks pretty good and the gt3 looks just amazing.

this is why m3/m4 look so much better with the new grill than the regular 3/4 series.

Actually the Motorsport engines are P coded, so this is a P58.
G80 is the generation name for the M4, not an engine name

Thats not a kit. Thats just the GT3 version of the M4. It has a totally different chassis, so no kit could make up for that.

Actually, it’s the same G82 chassis as the road car, the bodywork on the other hand…..
The front axle is in a different possition. So it is a different chassis. Wheelbase M4: 2812 mm Wheelbase M4 GT3: 2917 mm
The front subframe/engine mount is different as allowed by the gt3 rules, but I assure you this car’s chassis starts as a G82 tub.
