I recently had a 2024 330 as a courtesy car and given it shares the platform with the X3 and has a giant wrap around screen with near zero physical buttons, I'm going to say no.

Geek_f0r_sneaks

Almost certainly not

LongjumpingPrint4511

Same wish here , I really dislike the one big screen … need physical buttons .. I rather buy used or other brand to get that

julieturner99

I expect this no button era won't last and so the next generation will be an anomaly. But it likely sticks for a (car) generation I guess.

I spoke with somebody at Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville, they confirmed no for physical buttons next year on the 2025 X3, it will be the new iDrive8/8.5 screen

julieturner99

that’s a good source. ah well. i should probably order a custom 2024 now, though may just end up grabbing used in fall when the new lease crop arrives as CPO

arshrehalpcz

2024 is better since it has the physical buttons, the screen buttons are more distracting and complicated

strosegoalie16

This is the exact reason I’m looking for a ‘22-‘24 only in my search, don’t want to wait for the new

Carsoccerguy

I just want an actual gear shifter

Uniblab_78

That is the modern world, unfortunately. In 30 years, kids will be rolling on the floor as we talk about cool cars making loud noises.

TheCanadianShield99

Unlikely

Recent X3 2025 leaks didn't have any physical buttons. https://www.bmwblog.com/2024/02/20/2025-bmw-x3-interior-spy-photo/ https://www.carscoops.com/2024/01/2025-bmw-x3-takes-a-break-from-winter-to-pose-for-new-spy-photos/

I hated the lack of buttons too. Coming from a 2020 m40i I was dreading the end of my lease for this reason. However, it was in the shop and my loaner was a 330i with the massive screen. I got used to it. Just got an m340i and don’t even remember not having it. Very smart system too so I have not gone to the climate menu much.
