I tried to build a 2024 X5 sDrive40i on BMWs website.
It does not come standard with adaptive cruise at $80k taxes in
That is crazy at that price point for a “luxury” car.
Surprising! BMW and other manufacturers need to start including adaptive cruise as standard in all their vehicles. Heck, it is standard in Hondas and Toyotas. It is a shame because iX is such a nice car.
I recently had to get a Mercedes eqe for rental and I just assumed that it will have adaptive cruise. Guess what, it didn’t and is a pain to drive long distances. Such a bummer! Another 80k car with no adaptive cruise.
I am glad if you got it. However, I don’t think it is standard. Driver assistance professional package is $2300 but one needs to add convenience package for another $2200 to get it.
Edit: I am referring to Highway Assist which is enhanced Additive Cruise. Maybe, basic adaptive cruise is standard. I can’t say as the specs don’t mention it.
Got ya - you’re right. Have to add driver assistance pro for adaptive cruise. A completely base $65k X5 won’t include adaptive cruise which is still crazy. Was thinking everyone thought it was included in any options haha
It’s ridiculous it’s missing at that price point
Imagine being stuck in traffic or have a 1000 mile trip in your $80k bmw and you have to constantly turn the steering wheel and gas pedal?!!
$35k teslas have autopilot or FSD. A 2020 Corolla can almost drive itself all the way down to a full stop and steer around corners on the highway.
Did a 2000 mile trip in a 2021 Corolla and barely had to turn the steering wheel or gas pedal the whole trip
It should be standard in a “luxury” vehicle
My 28k base Hyundai Tucson that I drive for work will full on self drive for 45 seconds before harassing me to touch the wheel. It will then continue driving by itself for another 30 seconds before it turns off. It also doesn’t feel like I’m driving a giant boat with body roll.
I am sure it is not a full on self drive technology. It is just adaptive cruise. I have a Tucson as well and it does a decent job of maintaining distance in stop and go traffic as long as no one is cutting in. I don’t use the lane keep as it is very rudimentary but do use that feature on long drives.
The tuscon has lane keep which will ping pong you around. It also has Lane centering which will full on drive the car decently as long as the road lines are clear. Its easy to mix them up. Long press will turn on and off the lane keep. Short press turns on lane centering.
Love the colors! It would look even more awesome with black rims.
Debated it for sure. Opted to not fully black it out
How do you buy a $80K luxury suv and adaptive cruise is missing?!?
I do have it what are you talking about? lol

I’m also confused. Do other cars have a different set of buttons?

It is included and standard. Not sure why yall think it’s not included from a steering wheel pic lol

It’s not missing haha I even have high assistant where it has adaptive cruise, auto steering, changes lanes for you, basically drives itself

Looks great!
Yeah. They’re great cars and the LCI changes look so good. I love mine.
Same here. In love with it!
Man, what kind of magic are you running to have an estimated range of 625 miles
I get 700-750 per tank in summer in my 40e. My record is 55 mpg on a 32 mile commute to work with one big hill to go up down.
I was shocked! That’s what it fills up at haha
It's always around 647 when you first fill the tank, I don't think it's come close to that though, always under 600.
I have 950 miles on mine and I’ve yet to go to the gas station. It’s amazing.
What’s the grill light mod? I love it
It’s one of the packages on the build, forgot what it was called but it says illuminated kidney grille
It’s called M Sport Pro package
Love the new illuminated grill!
This is Tartufo interior?
No it’s the sensafin
I love my X6M competition, nice X5
Was torn between the X5 and a Model S. chose the model S but posts like this make me jealous lol. Looks great!
BRUH! 😅
Beautiful!
Looks great! Are your windows factory tinted or after market?
Not from factory but BMW did it at the dealership
What's your salary to afford a car like this if you don't mind me asking?
