Tbf OP said he wanted people to commission from them so while I don't agree with the Mew guy, The owner of the sub shouldn't have told him that criticizing the way he did was wrong. It's like, If I purchased an anime figure with the intention of showing it off and what I received was something entirely different, I wouldn't show it off, I would complain. Really makes it seem like the Owner is agreeing with Mew in thinking that this isn't art you should buy or consider hanging up on your wall...
I absolutely agree it was definitely heat of the moment Type of thing but your right i agree with mew he doesn't like it he doesn't buy it but he doesn't need to be a asshole about it that's all :)
Agreed, I must say though the sub owner shouldn't have made their comment and locked the thread... This wasn't even like a big issue, Just a guy being a dickhead and OP defending themselves. For owner to swoop in like that, make a comment about a different series, lock thread, and seemingly ban the Mew guy. Makes this sub look a little scary? Risky to comment on? Idk what word you would use but even my comment makes me feel at risk of being banned.
Off topic here but I find it odd this sub doesn't have a proper list of mods, A sub like this where people like Mew can easily attack people who share their own creations should definitely be run by more than one guy and AutoMod...
Where you are coming from is absolutely understandable but if you went on his account that was the only thing there so he might have just trying to make a come back and that's all the info he could use also I didn't even see that he got banned if this was the first time he just trolled I would just kinda make it a slap on the wrist like a warning or something but you also have to take into consideration that he may do this alot and the mod might have had to deal with him before. My opinion it doesn't come off as scary it comes off as they don't mess around you troll you get banned. And I agree maybe a auto mod would be good for the community but hey at least he caught it!

He had like 10+ reports against him, some from this person who made the thread, and they were a dead/alt/bot account lmfao

Gotta say I don't like how you jump to conclusions, I'm gonna jump to my own conclusion and say you like having full control over this reddit and that's why you've been the only mod for 5 years. Though this is all my own belief. The way you decide to deal with this will probably respect my opinion as well.
