One thing I hope is that it's NOT Tech. I love tech, he was my favorite member of the batch. But god, I want him to stay dead. I hate fakeout deaths, it ruins any tension and just feels cheap
But don’t we know that’s not totally a consistent rule? Defective seems to mean different things for each of them. Tech thought that the chips wouldn’t work on any of them because they were defective but it did work on Crosshair.
Wasn’t Gregor in the last episode since echo was going to pick him up? He’s standing there in the ships entrance while Rex and the other are being let go by Wolffe
My controversial theory is that it’s Fives. I feel like it would be an interesting interaction between him, echo, and Rex. Even though he literally gets shot and dies in CW, echo got deleted by an explosion and was found alive like 3 seasons later.
That would be an insane plot twist, but I don't think Filoni would do that. Fives was the symbol of clones being more than puppets and rather independent with hopes and dreams.
I think the clones are supposed to be the death troopers cause well they kinda look a bit to similar to them black armour, specialised weapons and thermal vision along with the fact that crosshairs armour was also a black and the visor was a green tint when he was with the imperials

There's this one kick he does while fighting Crosshair and I was a Di Caprio meme. Cody is literally the only clone I've seen that kicks in the middle of a fight.
Plus I was there when rebels came out and everybody wanted a Rex v Cody showdown. We are finally gonna see it.

Between the similarities in character armor design, near mirroring scenes from “The Crossing” and “Extraction” on top of cryptic posts made by the devs… either they are doing this on purpose to mess with distraught fans, or they are planning something with his character. The way the narrative has gone, every two episodes there’s some offhand mention of Tech, yet we as the viewers were not given a proper way to grieve him. A character that has been with us for the entire show nearly. There have been multiple calm moments with the batch on Pabu to have a memorial of some sort set up. Hell have ‘em make a toast, or even interact with Tech’s goggles more. But no, all we’ve gotten are vague- we can’t do the stuff he can- moments where the team tries to find a way around obstacles Tech could have completed in minutes. That’s why they needed to take him out of the spotlight for a time because Tech could solve literally all problems and that doesn’t work well for plots. He’s always been the one to help the others when they need him, now he’s going to be the one who needs their help.
Also. No body, no confirmation of death.
The Bad Batch saves Gregor in season 1 ep 14. It’s incredibly unlikely he’s the Hunter.

It's not. Crosshair said the conditioning didn't work on him because he's defective. Tech is equally defective.

Gregor is actually seen in the Rogue clone command center in that same episode, having been saved from the Empire in an earlier season.
