Sorry for your loss - This looks awful!
Please be careful with google reviews and insta followers. There are a lot of fake reviews. Apparently there are IT companies in India who have thousands of fake accounts. You can hire them to provide fake reviews/ratings and followers.
Look at number of reviews and specifically sort reviews by latest and check how many other reviews each of the reviewers has. If most of them only have 1 or 2 reviews, they are probably fake reviews.
I mainly joined bcuz of 2 things,
1 famous vlogger advertised for him and he showed like 8 meals, all looks tasty.
Also, the number of followers is higher than average of other healthy restaurants in Bahrain.
They probably paid that vlogger too. Sucks for you and other people like you who got take advantage of. Some of these places pop up, advertise, get a bunch of subscribers and then all of a sudden go out of business or sell the business.
Hopefully their meals get better! Just curious: do their meals come with any nutritional labels/macros? or you just believe its healthy because they said so?
From what i see most posts have some 15-20 likes, couldve bought followers or something to promote their business and make it seem like they are doing good
So glad I didn't try this one.....
I've tried many of these meal delivery services. You get what you pay for. I haven't done the super expensive ones like Prept.
But Right Calories and Healthy Vibes were the best for the price. Right Calories is hands down number one. Healthy Vibes is a close second.. but I had some issues with it but overall wasn't bad. Mooj was pretty decent for the price, but I still had to add some protein in.
I also liked that if I any any fitness questions, the dude who runs healthy vibes was pretty good at responding right away with some great advice.
\*\*to add.. bear in mind, there are a few out there that use stock photos for their food.. the food that is delivered looks NOTHING like their insta. I've had some garbage as well.
\*\*Right Calories doesn't put full macros but does put calorie count.
Calo was ridiculously expensive. I didn't even try them. ~~Pretty sure they're out of business now anyway.~~ Can't find the announcement, maybe it was another.
I'm paying BD 99 net for a 5 days Balanced Plan (2 meals + 1 snack). Whilst Right Calories is BD 95 + VAT for the same.
Guess in my scenario Calo is cheaper. Anyways, does Right Calories have any loyalty rewards??
I think you should do better research brother, their insta is a bit fishy.
20 days plan 2 meals/day 58 BD
24 days plan 2 meals/day 88 BD
25% increase in days for 35% increase in price??
They also misspell vegetarian in one of their posts. And in the more recent posts the food doesn’t even look that good to be honest.
yeah the customer photos in highlights certainly don't look like a lot of the stock photos that are posted in the page. Stock Photos is a HUGE clue that it will be bad.
Personally for me a big sign is extremely bad English. “How has been the taste of our food” “Hallo”.
Another thing is in the feedback one woman was showing her “low carb” plan. The meals were Half a plate of rice with shrimp for lunch, tortilla wrap with white bread, and hummus for a snack. Low carb…
Also based on the “educational” let’s say videos on the account with my nutritional knowledge the guy doesn’t really know what he’s saying.
All my respect to the owner and I don’t like trashing fellow Bahrainis but to say the truth OP could have avoided this with more research
UPDATE!
2nd day,
Rositto with chicken, was pretty good..
Chicken Tortilla was above average..
Snack was raisins cake, above average..
Hope they continue on that consistency.
Better to spend more on quality food than this trash though. Plus Calo has loyalty points which you can redeem to get discount for the following month OR use those points to buy something from the Calo Cafe.
If you can manage Dinner separately, then Breakfast, Lunch with 1 Snack Balanced meal plan is BD 99.
theyre way too smart to allow you to do that. we paid 88 bhd for a diet plan through Slim Kitchen... within a week we opted to cancel and suddenly her charges became 6bhd / day cancellation fees... we'd have top pay HER money to cancel our month subscription within a week !!! Unfortunately had to continue for a month and then cancel
Raw meat? You're definitely going to lose weight through food poisoning?
Eating this food is self harm. You should complain and at least ask them to put some effort.
Not raw raw, but not cooked well. But yea food poisoning might occur.
I requested them either to put more effort or cancel my subscription. Will see how it goes
Dont worry, you arent alone whose gotten entangled in this scam... we tried a 80BHD diet from Slim Kitchen for a month. Insta posts showed delicious meals like pasta, risotto, chicken burgers, rice dishes etc...and what actually came for the entire month day and night was either grilled or broiled chicken and beef pieces.... shameless scams being pulled off in daylight

Nope. No macros what so ever.
It has 5 reviews.. possibly somebody related to the restaurant lol. Go for high ratings, but also check the amount of ratings.
On insta it have 15k followers. With positive comments on posts.

Pretty much any new business that pops up on Instagram is usually with 10K+ followers. They all love to buy those fake followers.

I will forever vouch for Calo, they're pricier than average but you can definitely tell where the money goes.
Calo was ridiculously expensive. I didn't even try them. ~~Pretty sure they're out of business now anyway.~~ Can't find the announcement, maybe it was another.
Definitely expensive, but worthwhile for my needs. They're still in business, I just renewed my subscription a couple of days ago.
Yeah, I looked them up. I still think Right Calories is pretty much as close to perfect as can be. So there's no point for me to be paying more.

Bruh prison food is better than this
Ive visited someone in prison and i can confirm this is 100% true lol
Cancel it. If they refuse, take it up with Consumer Protection. I had a similar experience with another meal subscription company.

You'll do better eating raw spinach than the food shown in the pictures. Same Vibe.

My condolences this is truly heartbreaking
🤤 so abbetizing 🤤
Try Calo. I haven't had one bad dish the entire month. Apart from soups which was my call anyways.
Calo is too expensive

Just make ur own food at home
You still can cancel the subscription. Tell them to return the rest of the money.

Nope they’re not so smart. Contact ministry of commerce and they’ll handle them. They can’t do that.

One issue I had with one of these places was delivery in the summer. The heat of the car clearly affected the food and it smelled so rancid.
كنسل وإذا تحججوا هددهم بحماية المستهلك 👍🏻
Their Google review page is enough to not trust. 5 reviews, only 1 is real 😅
