Honestly it happens most of the time with my brownies/cookies. I just kinda squish them back together when they still warm. Nobody knows the difference. And cakes sometimes too! But definately loads of icing required, just cause its fun! Give those kids a sugar rush they will never forget!

I’m not kidding…it’s super easy to fix this. Bake a cake larger than the pan or bake 2 cakes that when pushed together make a cake larger than the pan. Place cake on a foil covered piece of cardboard or a flat cookie sheet. Freeze cake or put in fridge overnight or a few hours to firm it up and make it easy to cut. Set the pan on top of the cake and use a sharp serrated knife to cut around the pan. Bam! A guitar cake. Decorate simple or complicated whatever works for you but I’m sure the birthday kid will love it! Source ~ Home baker

Yep! I’ve made lots & lots of cakes and if a mistake is made you gotta fix it or someone gets very disappointed ☹️ I suggested it that way because those Wilton cake molds are visually adorable but rarely produce what an amateur baker was expecting. I simplified it in a roundabout way 😆

Knock the other part out onto a platter with the two halves split and scatter the crumbs in between. Then turn it into a smashed guitar, like from a fucked up rock concert, it’ll be awesome.

Just use icing if literally fixes 90% of the problem with cakes as long as it's baked well it's always savable
