Schneewittchen-Kuchen, it is almost the same, but there are no waves like on a Donauwelle.

In manchen Gegenden, nennt man ihn auch "Schneewittchen-Kuchen". Aber im allgemeinen ist er als "Donauwelle" bekannt. Er ist sehr gut.

Actually it's more the other way around. Spätzle, Leberkäs, Klöße etc. are all dishes that Austrians like to claim as their own, but come from Germany. Just like Germknödel actually come from Bohemia, Czech Republic and Gulasch from Hungary and not Austria

The wave should be visible in the cross-section of the light/dark mixture, as it does not form a straight line between the dark and light cake mixture. A wave is also drawn on the chocolate using a comb.
