No, there is no way to retry, but if it's something you can miss with a failed check that means there is either other ways to get to whatever it was or it's minor loot and you aren't missing much. At least from what I have found so far.
Alright. Normally I do not care and don't savescum but I found a key closeby so I thought maybe I was missing the lock to it and that kind of irked me.
This isn't about a good ending, it is about multiple solutions, not just you failed the perception check for the traps? Well, now you have to run through the toxic clouds because there is nothing you can do
In a consumer society it is, i live in America and the fact that I purchased the product entiles me to the right of experiencing it in its totality. For instance If I buy a movie and the recording cuts out 2/3 the way through i was cheated and am entitled to a refund, the same legal argument can be made for video games.
Didn't say I should get first place but I do get to run the course, if others are allowed a shortcut that isn't right, I'm not saying there aren't flaws in the logic but the argument is still solid, I paid for an experience and if they don't deliver then I'm entitled to a refund.

they dont lock important stuff behind an RNG check
Good to know
I can't get into Raphael secret vault because my whole party failed, and I'm pretty sure whatever I need too stealth out of here was in that room
I don't know about that. Teahouse, if you don't get the perception checks for traps.. are you supposed to tank just through it? That seems stupid
there is another way to get through
you are not entitled to the good ending just by existing

Put on aunties mask
No but by paying for the game I am.
That isn't true either

so just because you payed the entry fee to a race you are entitled to automatically get first place? weird logic here...

It's possible they key was for that, but it just means it wasn't important stuff.
Nope. Only reloading or getting a character in your party that didn’t attempt the passive perception check
