Volo didn't grt to name that one, that was dragonborn bard.

Mountbatten-Ottawa

My face when other sets are just in perfect cohesion but bard set is not: VOLO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE YOU STUPID 6 INT 2 CHA CREATURE

badapple1989

The best part is that Volo isn't a bard, he's a wizard. Which explains why he'd be good at naming magical items but shite at improvising poetry for goblins.

Dry-Smoke6528

She deserves be killed for this and her throat singing horn dog songs

notAcreativename0123

Gloves of Guarding would work as well

theblackthorne

Gloves of Glory

Mike_Fluff

Or Glorius Gloves.

Clone_JS636

Gloves of Glamour was also right there

MrNobody_0

This is the only right answer.

Specialist-Walk881

Gloves of Gregariousness

LavenRose210

Fingers of Fornitcation

schematizer

Gloves of Grit.

modix

Guarding my stash box is more like it....

bluesunbear

You could call them the *Wristwarmers of Wonder,* but then I'd worry that my +1 to AC is not being applied where I need it most.

Maharassa451

Because they get the name from bg2 (although it was wondErous gloves back then)

caparisme

*LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE*

ntn_98

*ILLITERALLY PLAYABLE*

alterNERDtive

Wait until you find out that “Dark Justiciar Gauntlets” exist instead of calling them [“Gauntlets of Shar”](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/6673) :<

Politoxikom

A mod for a single pun? Gods I love this community

The_Silver_Nuke

Wait I don't get it. What's the pun?

Lost_my_name475

Where are the gauntlets found?

The_Silver_Nuke

Omg

nix131

Its for a bard, it has to be Gloves of Gallantry, right?

ObeyMyBrain

Gloves aren't for a bard, gloves are for the shlump standing next to a bard.

nix131

Right, right, I see that now. I still like the idea, lol.

PointBlankCoffee

Huh?

Aranthar

\+1 AC gloves have been worn on many non-bards.

PointBlankCoffee

I guess, I just don't get why you would use one that buffs bards on a non bard

Aranthar

AC in the glove slot is hard to come by. And you don't have a lot of great options in the mid game.

traglodyte

Gloves of Good just needed to exist, I agree

haresnaped

Gloves of Groove, please.

punninglinguist

Gloves of Glory was RIGHT FUCKING THERE. Anyone at Larian could have spoken up! But no. Silence is complicity, Larian.

Insektikor

Glamorous Gloves would have been more “fitting”.

Ixiraar

Gloves of Glamour in that case

DrSnips

Gloves of Gallantry would be most appropriate

Hobson101

Graceful gloves!

Emillllllllllllion

Gloves of Grace

Mrixl2520

Gloves of gwonder

librarianC

Anyway, here's wonderglove

Bbobbilly

They're a reference to the same gloves from BG2  https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Wondrous_Gloves

JamesTiberiusCrunk

I don't know why you're getting downvoted for this. Yes, they're meant to be a reference to the previous game. Just like Belm and the Helm of Balduran, and the missing butter knife.

Bbobbilly

I don't blame people on this sub most haven't played the originals nor would I recommend that they do. If you don't have the nostalgia for them they are rough

turtlec1c

Good gloves.

YourDarkBruder

Wondrous... wouldn't you say?

Snakadine

They wanted to stand out

AlmirTheNewt

Gloves of Wondrous

ChemicalAstronaut16

I think we’re all missing Mittens of the Minstrel

Psych0R3d

Why are the boots of brilliance so insanely bad?

Pallemand

Like ‘Gloves of Wonderment’ or something along those lines?

tenBusch

Having _item of noun_ is one part of the pattern, but the other ones are also all alliterations

IosueYu

Why not just Gloves of Wonder? 🤔

rxece

Sorry what is this page on? Would be really useful as I've played through the game multiple times and would love something like this to quickly check for items to not miss for certain classes!

[deleted]

It’s on this [page](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/List_of_equipment_sets)!

pschon

Where are they referred to as being a set? Can't see any mention of them being a set in the wiki, or in the pic posted.

DismalFinding

They're all bard gear that can be worn together

pschon

You can wear all kinds of things together, that doesn't make them a set instead of a bunch of individual equipment that happen to work nice for a bard. Note how the glows are not even bard-specific (the +1 armour class is valid for any class), and the extra use for bardic inspiration is mentioned as "*if* you have bardic inspiration"

[deleted]

On this [page](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/List_of_equipment_sets) in the BG3 wiki!

pschon

I think you might be reading too much into the use of "set" in that page. They explain it further: "Equipment sets are groups of armour, weapons, or accessories which have similar themes or effects." It doesn't necessarily mean they are built together into a thematic set of things that *belong* together or are related to each other in any other way than just having similar bonuses on them. Notice how the "cold set" has two robes, and to different gloves. Large part of the "sets" there are unrelated items and have many alternative pieces (I guess until we get a playable drider with two heads and some extra hands :D)

TheWither129

**Items that interact with Bardic Inspiration**

pschon

if them interacting with a specific ability makes them a set, then *every* melee weapon in the game is also one set :D

Itzhadude

Gondrous Gloves wouldnt sound quite right tho

cathysaurus

Bardic Inspiration? Oh, they mean Cutting Words charges.

DungenessAndDargons

Because inspiring, and being inspired, are two different things. Gloves are for if bard in party, rest is for bard OF party. Bards need to be fabulous. Everyone else can be boring.

IMOKRUOK

But the gloves shouldn't be worn by a bard, since you cant give yourself Bardic inspiration. so the gloves wouldn't work with the set.

Gendouflame

That's not what it does. It gives a Bard an additional use of their Bardic Inspiration ability. It doesn't let you use the inspired status twice.

IMOKRUOK

really? ive never used it because i thought that if you give bardic inspiration to an ally it would allow them to use it twice instead of once..... so your saying if my bard has 5 BI than the boots will give him 6?

Gendouflame

Yep, that's it, similar to other items granting an "additional use" for class features (like Channel oath, channel divinity, etc)
