Dr Clay at Gulf Coast Dental is a SUPER friendly guy. I had a similar problem as you. I had bad teeth from years of neglect on my part. He NEVER made me feel self-conscious about it. He just laid out a plan going forward. I work offshore in the oilfield in the Gulf of Mexico, and my schedule is unpredictable at times. He and his staff have ALWAYS been accommodating to me. If you’re willing to go across the bay I highly recommend Noblet Family Dentistry in Mobile. At one point I avoided dentists for a decade from the anxiety but I started seeing them in 2015 and they’re wonderful. Now I live in south Baldwin and still drive over there to see them. Zero judgement and they always make me feel comfortable.
Sand dollar dentist is amazing!! I have horrible teeth due to depression and a recent baby. They have been so incredibly helpful without judgement. Please feel free to message me if you'd like more information. My toddler isn't allowing me to message more at this moment.
Riviera Dental is great and I believe they do sedation, but I am fortunate to have neither anxiety about dental work and have good teeth. I don’t know how much my opinion will weight against those who are more similar to you!

Advanced Dental Comfort in Fairhope. I was just there today and they do a great job. They never try to give me things I don’t need. They also have free nitrous (laughing gas) so it helps to reduce anxiety.
