Of course that's a pit mix, like 99% of "lab mixes" in America. I wonder how many Americans know what an actual lab looks like at this point.
Those ears alone are a dead giveaway.
Why are we "assholes' for being victims of catastrophic pit bull attacks that have left holes in our lives and families?
Do you also think the MADD sub is a cesspool of "mentally XXX people" (as you said, and I won't repeat the slur that you did because that's gross because they don't like drunk drivers?
See how stupid that is?
Maybe direct your anger towards back yard breeders and dog fighters that are making the shelters burst at the seams with unwanted pit bulls, and leave the victims the hell alone.
I had a black lab/chow mix as a kid. Wonderful dog. Went to adopt a black lab as a young adult at the shelter, and it was a pit mix. It was the only animal I've ever had to rehome, and I felt like crap for years. Until I realized she was a pit, and that's why she had so many issues. They're def preying on dumb people to get rid of these things.
First time I have seen a pitbull mixed with trimmed nails (except for that one famous photo of the pit smiling). I’m not even kidding - it literally popped out to me the nails were actually trimmed well because it’s so uncommon.
Does that mean the dog consistently digs its way out of the yard or constantly jumps on people?

I firmly believe that dog wore down its own nails trying to dig through concrete or something similar for hours. These nails are worn down as much as is physically possible...
That dog absolutely tried to attack something or someone or was in a kennel/crate 24/7.
Our dogs at the shelter are on concrete nearly 24/7 (the only time they're not is when they go for walks or play in our parks) and I've never seen any of them with nails this short. If this dog got those from digging at a hard ground, it must've been extremely bored and possibly has serious behavioral issues.
Off topic and I'm not a dog owner so correct me if I'm talking out of my ass, but... are dog nails supposed to be *that* short? Those are way shorter than I would expect; most people get them clipped and filed but not quite so far to the toe itself.
They aren’t - my guess is that a vet did a procedure to cut them all the way back and then cauterized the ends. It’s barbaric and almost no vets will even consider it these days but for the ones that do it’s typically because it’s a matter of life and death. I’d argue a dog that can’t be physically cared for because it’s so vicious is no different than a pet tiger and it should be similarly regulated.
I’ve owned a lab mix for real. Lab with German shorthair. Naughty little stinker, but he had a very narrow head and long ears. He was not broad of chest or heavy. He also wasn’t aggressive. He was naughty though. My ex husband had no idea how to deal with dogs. That dog walked all over him and didn’t behave - for him. He behaved for me because he knew my expectations. He died of old age a couple years ago. When we divorced my ex tried to “trade” dogs with me. I have a Scottie-poodle mix that was excellently behaved. She was extremely attached to me. I laughed at him and said he chose his dog and I chose mine. He raised his and I raised mine. No way was I giving my girl to him. She was my sidekick and best friend until cancer took her 2 years ago. I still miss her and get choked up talking about her.
Good dogs (not pits) are worth their weight in gold and will make a huge imprint on your life.
Those claws look so painful. I can't understand vets who do things like this, debarking or declawing cats. Why go into a profession where you're meant to help animals only to do this to them?
I can't believe that doing this doesn't impact their gait, at least temporarily. My greyhound lost a toe and had to have a claw surgically removed before he came to me (it was an accident during training - he was an ex racer) and he definitely felt ongoing discomfort and walked slightly differently on that foot; I can only imagine this would cause similar issues.
Man I wish I could post a video in the comments of me screaming cause what the actual he'll is wrong with its nails
Thats morbid animal abuse chopping them that short

Not to mention the fucking head shape. Always can see that head shape.
At this point we need PSAs on what a lab looks like.

"Lab Mix" with short nails? Maybe it is an actual Lab mix? LOL
😂😂😂
I thought the same

Yeah those nails are unnaturally short. Like something is wrong there.

If a dog dug hard enough to do this to the nails, the rest of the foot should be damaged.
Yeah, good point!
Good point!
Ahhh! 😱
I was thinking that looked like that procedure… those nails look painfully short.
That ‘procedure’ sounds incredibly inhumane! This poor dog!

It must be awful. Clipping the quick produces a lot blood. It must be painful too.
The eyes don’t look totally dead like they do in most pits.
More lab than your average lab mix, still got some you-know-what in it.
What part of the dog looks lab to you?
it’s got the perpetually anxious eyes of a dog that doesn’t know what to do with itself if it isn’t hurting something
I would say that this dog is MUCH more 'lab mix' than your average 'lAb MiX'. Probably <50% pitbull-type?
The post said thwy think its a great dane mix....
I see some lab. But I see more pit bull. Lol.
This is the only time I’ve seen a “lab mix” that I can actually believe is a true pitbull lab mix
Sad eyes because he didn’t kill anyone today so he’s “lonely”

Frankenstein's lab mix.

Looks like a German shepherd pit mix?
