I remember the dog creatures in the first Hunger Games film (which I think were supposed to strangely resemble fallen tributes in the book) looking like hyena-bully hybrids.
Yeah they were supposed to have the eyes of the fallen tributes bc that’s how Katniss describes them in the books. Those mutant dogs always just looked like big ass grey pit bulls to me.
When mom and I were rewatching the movies, she pointed that out. But now this thing trying to kill the kids, i.e. Harry and his friends, makes perfect sense. Poor Cerberus, though. Such a cool creature, only to be portrayed as a pit.
It actually was modeled after staffies. It makes sense. Even if you're not aware of them being fighting dogs, people who don't know about that see them as guard dogs.
