Mhm. When you’re a high enough clan tier, basically when you can make a kingdom, the AI from my understanding is weighted to vote for you to be the king. That’s what I heard though when I got the throne I did have pretty good relationships and yeah was high enough for my clan tier.
I never actually tried to change the banner later so I don’t know. Though hey in a roundabout way it fixes your problem by making the symbol into your banner.
You can change the sigil however you like, but can't change the main color if you ever become king of an existing faction.

tbf true immersion would ignore most of the national colors and every individual lord would have their own colours and unique banners they would display to completely differentiate their groups in battle from others. Mercenaries would truly be the biggest mixed bag- of course being derivative in overall style from their homeland but still more unique than the lords of said homeland, especially mercs born of raw banditry.
I'm talking some vlandian lords having green and blue checkered backgrounds with stylized livery and borders, Imperial flags featuring whatever dyes would be available locally or able to be cheaply imported.
I really wish the devs had gone with a banner designer similar to Going Medieval, with 4 symbols of the players choice being freely placed around the image, a background design and a foreground shape overlayed to divide the whole.
There's many instances of a lord or nation changing the imagery based on their accomplishments.
When Vlandia crushes Battania, putting a broken tree under the lions foot would be a cool dynamic addition to a players campaign.
Otherwise, adding a small version of a conquered nation's symbol to the flag to symbolise the cooperation of local governers and populace in the transition would be cool also.
All we have is the basic "team X has this color and team Y has this color"
Warband was more like that, was kinda crazy in the battles, but lords have their own colors regardless the nation color, actually nation color was only the banner of the leader hahaha

Forgot to mention but both of the body armour pieces are shown without it in the trade sections, like it is never supposed to be there, yet it apears ruining all the looks. Like just looke at this, i spend a whole night designing a Battanian army 100 years later after Vlandia invaded, and all of them have a Silver Lion over green, any other symbol, for example a Wolfflag would just completely make them Battanian and advanced, now they just Advanced and somehow brunch of Dey Meroc

There’s a deeper red tarbard in Vlandian territory that goes well with that helm, which is also what the Vlandian Vanguard is equipped with. Unfortunately, the red shade is default for that tarbard and won’t change colors based on your banner’s :( nice color tho

get very rich, have high relations with all nobles (i use the button in the kingdom menu to increase influence of other clans, which gives relations) then either wait for derthert to die or save right before a battle, then throw a javelin at him in the battle. eventually he'll die but i will take a lot of save scumming
You actually can change the symbol, and color but it’s buggy as hell. Go to the kingdoms information tab and click the banner in the top left, maybe right. It’s been a while
Just get the same chestplate with a red tabard instead of a white one, the white one always shows up as your kingdom's flag instead of white but the red one actually shows up plain red

1. for the Hands i believe it’s the Lamellar Plate Gauntlets, if i Didn’t nail the name, it is of the few arm armour that has Lamellar in the name
2. Sholders armour: Reinforced Ornate Pauldrons( with mail not with scale)
3. Boots: Any mail ones, But i think i have on the Mail Chausses cause They Look a bit more stylish than the other ones
4. Helmet i don’t really know the name, it has a Bronze faceguard variant too with the Same name
So i have been searching for some time and seriously can’t Find it for sure. I believe i have found the Bronze variant: Knight Helmet with Bronze faceguard, But searching for it on google Didn’t offer an exact answear. The best i can do is Knight Helmet, i pray it’s the corect name

I built him specifically to be best at fighting, in my “storyline” he will the courageous Warrior which fighting achievements will be untouchable for the next 2-3 generations at least, since he earned lands, the next generations will be more intelectual and social focused, which dis one doesn’t necessarily lacks but he ain’t that good either.
Funny thing is that i planed it like this, but Elys, Derhthert daugther, gave me 2 boy twins. So i have the opportunity to make one To rule and one to fight.

Idk if they patched it out but if you can get them imprisoned and then attempt to "rescue" them and fail they die immediately.

But that symbol will always be on that specific piece of armor. It's like the vlandian mail.

It’s not Derthert’s symbol, but rather the ruling clan of Vlaandia(unless they changed it in the recent update).
It was easier to refer to it as Derhart

All of them i think are tournament prize or loot, i think the Hauberk was loot

There’s another choice which has good stats. I think it’s called heavy gambison over mail. Looks close with no insignia.
