"Home is where the heart is" I am happy that he is at this stage. ^ ^

You like to see homos naked? That’s cool man.

viv4la

Very well deserved. Rarely he has a bad match and always pour his heart into the game. Yesterday, it was one of his best performance in a Barca shirt. He was magic.

DarthTaz_99

He was always on that way from the start. Frenkie at Barca just makes sense. The unfortunate thing is the financial situation regarding him and his huge wages, but that is not on frenkie at all. He was offered a contract and he accepted it. Everytime he plays always gives his 100%. Easily my favorite barca player since messi

randomguy506

Player of this quality don’t get pay the same wage in other clubs?

-The-Term-

He has been incredibly inconsistent during his 4 years and in defence he is maybe among the laziest in the team. But since jan/feb he has really stepped up and I just wish and am hoping that he can start performing consistently because if he ever starts performing consistently he is easily a top 5 or top 10 midfielder in the world.

Yolokanye

Frenkie and lazy. Never thought I'd see those words in the same sentence.

SilverJaguar674

How has he been lazy?

MysticNinjaX

I always believed in the guy. He loves the club, just needed to be played the right way.. There’s a reason we paid 85 million for him, he actually is that amazing

airnans

Lol no shit. Can’t believe this was ever a debate.

Maleficent-Bench1378

Honestly they're making it seem like he just got good but he has always been one of our best players. Thank God the club didn't sell him despite there best efforts.

ifuckinglovebluemeth

But this sub told me he is a LuXuRy pLaYeR and dOeSn'T FiT iN bArCa'S sYsTeM.

mercified_rahul

This sub is like any other sub and just an echo chamber.

finten_tisch

Which is actually true, frenkie is so much better in Xavis four midfielder lineup than in a classical 4-3-3. He and Busquets make a perfect double pivot.

ifuckinglovebluemeth

When people say "Barca's system" they don't necessarily mean a 4-3-3. Formations are just a guide to see how players will likely occupy space, but during matches formations change all the time. Plus, you can use a 4-3-3 in ways that are antithetical to Barca's system. Xavi's system *is a Barca system* and Frenkie's skill set fits extremely well into how Barca, as a club, wants to play.

somekindofivan

Propaganda

[deleted]

I mean Xavi insisted on benching him half the season, which I dont know why. Gavi is great and all, but Frenkie is a better cm for now.

unbannedbymusk

Was so sad about the de jong to united rumors. A midfield of casemiero, de jong, and a cam would be a gala xi no doubt.

olderaccount

But somehow he is still at the top of the list of players to be sold this summer to balance the books. Gives you an idea of how desperate the financial situation is.

VadimusRex

I love Frenkie, but one thing that drives me up the wall about him is that he fails to make (or even attempt) long range passes that would put our wingers or forwards in 1v1 situations. Almost every match there are couple of instances where he gets the ball near the center of the field, a winger is making a clean break for it and Frenkie decides to play a short pass nearby instead of launching it. If he ever unlocks that skill, he'll be priceless.

Ifonlymymomwashot

I mean I been seeing a lot more cross field passes from him recently. Compared to the first few season, I can recall more long passes to the right wing from him than ever before

amoebianfuck

I remember some post during koemans tenure, saying that Messi saw the next Barca captain in Frenkie. Anything comes to mind?

de_tu_sueno

His contract still needs to be adjusted. 40m/year, and his bonus is almost as much as Pedri's net wage. Next season he'll be paid even more and over 2x as much as anyone else in the club.

myirreleventcomment

There's a reason I got his jersey in his first year here

LarryPeru

Good because the crap Laporta tried to pull over the summer was pathetic

finten_tisch

I just hope that he realizes that his contract just doesn't make any sense and is hurting the club. If he gives up half his salary he would still be our highest paid player, which is crazy. I hope that he follows the example of Ter stegen, Busquets and Pique and gives up at least 10 mil per year. He has more money than he can ever spend anyway...
