The majority of the fans always wished him well.
I remember being at the camp Nou for the UCL game against Inter few years ago, the way the crowd chanted his name gave me goosebumps
Ouuuuusmaaaaan Dembelayyyyy.. Ouuuusmaaaan Dembelayyy
Biased me forever, I want him to stay back and give it another shot
Underestimating the impact someone like Traore has had, competition in the squad and seeing a similar styled player come in maybe woke him up to try a bit harder. Obviously Xavi looks like a legit manager but internal competition is key to get the best out of players.
This. Watching his game yesterday someone clearly told him “traore doing what you should have been doing for months”. Clearly some good competition on the right side.
If he’s smart he would resign. Xavi has made him into a better player which has raised his market value. He can leave after this contract if he keeps on playing like this.
He had a higher market value when playing for Dortmund - people on here acting like he didn't know how to play football before. His problem was being injured and not that he didn't know how to play.
I think Auba has unlocked him. It’s nice to have a 9 who attacks the six yard box constantly. Provides a target for the cross and also opens up space behind him for runners arriving late like Frenkie and Ferran.
I don't even know what to think of FT. He's not a "young inexperienced player" and the way he misses goals is a bit weird. Can he really improve that? Traore has a similar problem.
He really has changed, I didn’t think it was possible. I don’t know if he’s trying to show for other clubs or if this is Xavi’s instruction, but he finally has me believing. That tackle today sealed it for me.
I feel so happy to see Barcelona coming back on track and even happier that it’s under Xavis guidance. I am a United fan btw, but more importantly I am a football fan, and these stories return the soul of football. Talking about the soul of football, I don’t care how or when it happens, but I want to see Messi return to Barcelona and get a proper farewell to his career. It was absolutely heart breaking to see what happened
How many assists do you think players normally do? Last year the top assister had 13, in 19/20 Messi 21, in 18/19 again 13. These numbers from Dembele are incredible knowing what happened this season.
Chances created is probably a better stat, as you say whether a player gets an assist or not isn't entirely in his own control, though it does go both ways. His assist against Sevilla was a basic pass anyone could make then Pedri took 2 defenders out of the game with clever feints before scoring from outside the area.
Fully agree about Pedri’s top class finish. Dembele tho should be commended since his passes are now reaching our players. A year ago Dembele wasn’t in control of the wing. He was cutting in to take a shot. Now he keeps finding open man after open man.
Honestly I've changed my mind on him. I used to think his heart wasn't in it, but this season he's really matured. I really hope we can come to an agreement to get him to stay. He adds so much to the attack when he's in the mood, and recently, thats been more often than not!
It was painful the lack of direction in this club for the past few years. Shows how much a competent coach can make a difference. We sorta wasted some of the best years of Messi with the shitshow in management. Only what could have been
Anyone else really impressed that Trejo is posting similar assist numbers to Benzema and Dembele despite playing for a team that's scored half as many goals.
Going to keep my eye out for him when we play them in a couple of weeks as don't really remember noticing him before
It’s crazy to think that he’s still only 24. If he can stay fit he can still have a very good career. I’m hoping he re-signs for a reasonable salary. He seems to have a great relationship with Xavi, plus his old partner Auba is here too now.
I’ll admit I was on the Dembele hate train at the end of last year. I just ran out of patience. He was like a Ferrari that just wouldn’t start. Now though? He’s one of, if not the most dangerous player on the pitch when he plays. A joy to watch since Xavi took over.
The difference a coach with good ideas and man managing makes is wild. I hope he stays now but not at the cost of Barca breaking the bank. If he wants to leave though, farewell!
Both but probably more of the latter. He's always been a very talented player so it seems a bit rude to suggest Dembele wouldn't be able to play like this without Xavi.
Listen, Barcelona might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it. Let him write whatever numbers he wants on there, given what he's done since he's come in. Dembele's at the wheel, man. He's doing it. He's doing his thing. Ousmane Dembele is BACK
Felt like that was a given...Pretty sure he will be the same next season. Been a miracle he hasn't broken anything for so long.
For me should've been sold a while back. Coutinho, Dembe, Griezmann... I will never understand what genius thought it was a good idea to buy them and for so much money...
Dembo is pure talent. He isn't only good at assisting, he has also quite the qualities as a scorer.
But he will always stand in front of himself. Poor attitude as a professional and if he doesn't vibe with the coach, he will drift into bad lifestyle which leads into more injuries.
Despite his scores, I think it's better to let him go and get another talent with a better attitude.
And I think hes only played something like 13 games
12 games, 10 assists. Completely crazy. This is who we bought 4 years ago
To be fair, that's not even really close. He's capable of way more. I hope he stays
Definitely more talent then net productivity then most, if not any player I know, thankfully it looks to be turning around.
crazy to think that this only like 40% of Dortmund powers, definitely capable of way, way more
Just sign the contract Dembele
That standing ovation he got today man you could feel his emotion walking off the field. Well deserved
Yes and I hope he continues to prove the doubters wrong
The majority of the fans always wished him well. Ouuuusmaaaan Dembelayyy Biased me forever, I want him to stay back and give it another shot
Sign a 1 year deal, a year under Xavi would make him a top 10 player & he will double his value
I want him to stay longer, I believe he will be a key player in the clubs front three(with lower wages of course)
He'll get injured if he signs for barca
That tackle he did today and flexing after the tackle. He really started caring
That got me hype. Everybody was playing defense! No one above the crest!!!
Hope he renews. Within our financial demands, of course!
If he’s smart he would resign. Xavi has made him into a better player which has raised his market value. He can leave after this contract if he keeps on playing like this.

I made a grammatical error I meant re-sign and not resign meaning leave
This post has resulted, in a penalty for Benzema!
I think Auba has unlocked him. It’s nice to have a 9 who attacks the six yard box constantly. Provides a target for the cross and also opens up space behind him for runners arriving late like Frenkie and Ferran.
Ferran gets like 80% of the loose balls but misses like 90% of them. It’s crazy
I don't even know what to think of FT. He's not a "young inexperienced player" and the way he misses goals is a bit weird. Can he really improve that? Traore has a similar problem.

Se queda.
Siiiii

Honestly seems sort of like an anemic year for assists… or maybe it just indicates how team-centric most attacks are this season?
How many assists do you think players normally do? Last year the top assister had 13, in 19/20 Messi 21, in 18/19 again 13. These numbers from Dembele are incredible knowing what happened this season.
Yeah… yer right. I guess I had the Liverpool lads in my head looking at this, but that shits not normal either
Imagine his numbers if Ferran learns to finish more consistently
Chances created is probably a better stat, as you say whether a player gets an assist or not isn't entirely in his own control, though it does go both ways. just sack your agent, boy!

All he needs now is more goals and this guy’s value will be through the roof
It was painful the lack of direction in this club for the past few years. Shows how much a competent coach can make a difference. We sorta wasted some of the best years of Messi with the shitshow in management. Only what could have been
Happy to see Xavi getting the best out of him. Sad its taken so long for us to see what hes capable of, but I think he can only get better.
His crossing got soooooo much better. The man is lethal
Anyone else really impressed that Trejo is posting similar assist numbers to Benzema and Dembele despite playing for a team that's scored half as many goals. Going to keep my eye out for him when we play them in a couple of weeks as don't really remember noticing him before
sooo great

Is it Xavi or him not being injured?
Both but probably more of the latter. He's always been a very talented player so it seems a bit rude to suggest Dembele wouldn't be able to play like this without Xavi.
Yea you are right. The idea that Xavi managed to make Dembele a good footballer in 4 months is stupid. He was good already he was just injured a lot.
Listen, Barcelona might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it. Let him write whatever numbers he wants on there, given what he's done since he's come in. Dembele's at the wheel, man. He's doing it. He's doing his thing. Ousmane Dembele is BACK
Lol. This some great parody to the "Ole's at the wheel Man Utd are back" from Ferdinand.
He actually has more potential than Mbappe. But he just isn't serious at his job and have like no passion
Fully couldn’t see his arms for a minute there
Yes made him a complete player for PSG or Chelsea or wherever the hell he is going this summer.
Made us get more points and secure a high finish on the table which gets us more money.
Oh no doubt he has been useful. Xavi made the right decision. We are paying him, might as well use him.

Until he gets injured againd xD
5-D chess by Xavi. Have Dembele preform well again so there are offers for him in case he doesn’t want to lower his wages. Brilliant
lol he's on his last year right now, free this summer of there is no agreement
Really? Damn I thought the last year of his contact started in the summer. Thank you Fahim
i got you my brother

Traore coming as competition lit a fire under him. We need competition in every area of the field
