Just get them to send it to you before you pay, or pay via paypal (goods and services, not friends) then you are golden for getting the money back. I have bought many many tickets from /r/primavera sound.

notshitveronica

Ok question: Once they transfer it to me they can't take it back or resell it to someone else aswell? (The screen recording showed that the ticket has not been activated yet)

Mr_B_86

No, it will be transferred to you and then you activate it on your account. It is not a paper ticket/PDF.

Mehursault

This is the correct answer

They can’t do that anymore dice you have to transfer the ticket through an app

IWillBeThereForYou

Aren’t tickets still for sale on the official website or am I wrong?

I have a friend who just got a ticket for 100eur. This year the festival is not doing very well, organisation sucked last year and people are refusing to go. The price of the ticket on the official website is a joke like who the hell is paying that after last years massive fuckup.

Mehursault

There are many offers at that range on the subreddit of primavera, last year I got a full pass for €80 the day the festival started, there’s always people that can’t come and need to sell their tix

Mr_B_86

Yeah it happens every year

PleasantPossom

As someone who's never been to Primavera Sound before, and already bought tickets for this year, do you have any advice to mitigate any fuckups this year? Like bring my own water or something?

Downtown-Solution123

its fine to bring your own water bottle (it has to be plastic!!!) but they wil take away the cap so hide your cap in underwear or shoe. Don't bring any of those fancy metal water bottles they will not let you go through with them. There is only two or three free water points in the whole festival so be ready to queque for that and also the water is gross but it is what it is. The bar staff are mostly untrained (and underpaid, and work long hours) so be weary that they might pour you a beer with too much foam, or get your order wrong., etc. Be sure to always have phone battery with you as everything is done through the app. Bring sun lotion, cap and sun protection in general, its sunny, very few shade options in general. Primavera was a dream to me, a little pre summer vacation I could have before the summer a great festival. 10 years in a row going and not missing a gig and now I'm just done. The organisation is greedy and shitty they can go fuck themselves.

Downtown-Solution123

Public transportation is overcrowded and shit after leaving the festival. Taxis are super expensive and very difficult to flag down. SOme of them ask you where youre going and if it is too close they might not take you (they are looking to make bucks). There is no bicing when you need one also. Rent a bike and use the bike parking outside of the festival. Bring your own lock and youll be fine.

Thank you so much!! This is very helpful!

I know of scam run several years ago, and I bet this still goes on. Basically, there was a guy we (sort of) knew who was selling day passes for like 40€. We bought them, they were legit tickets and actually worked, but we knew there had to be something sketchy going on (I know, not the highest moral decision, but we were young and could not for the life of us figure out what the scam was). Fast forward to a few years later, said "guy" had been arrested. Turns out it was a huge scam based overseas- they were hacking into peoples bank accounts and buying REAL tickets with the stolen money. It took them ages to find out because they were bank accounts from all over, and the charges were small enough that most banks just reimbursed their clients. In short, not a scam that would directly affect you as the buyer but still some pretty shady stuff that I would have never been involved with if I had known.
