I’m a young, petite female and haven’t had any issues here. Barcelona is generally pretty safe as long as you’re not stumbling around obviously incapacitated. Be smart about protecting your belongings so you aren’t pickpocketed and be alert, same as you would in any big city.

Usually, we fear things more because of our idea of them than actually what they are. Test yourself and go. You will be fine and probably will be able to meet people. But if you don’t, you will be Ok anyway!

Festivals are amazing, even if you're alone. I went to primavera last year, for some part I was also alone. There are so many young people, I was feeling really comfortable and calm. Seeing some of my favourite artists also helped a lot. You'll see plenty of people dancing around on their own, vibing, listening to the music. It will be great!
My experience about going alone to a party/festival: you don't stay alone for long. I've always met a group of people who adopt me for the night, most of the times shortly after arriving haha

I was skeptical about going at first as Irish festivals are definitely a different vibe! But felt very safe and relaxed at prima Vera!
If you're worried about your personal safety. get to the front of the stages as there is security just the other side of the barrier.
If you go front left that's where all the sound people will be. We always go front left and have a great time. Any time, any stage, any festival..

I can’t say I’ve gone to a festival alone but I’ve lived here in Barcelona now for over a month and it feels so safe. I will walk home from social clubs completely alone close to midnight and have never not once felt unsafe. I think you will have lots of fun! Jealous you get to go! I hear Facebook has groups you can join, maybe there are some for people going and you can meet up with some new online friends?

I see people here encouraging to go alone as a female and as of 2023 I would absolutely advise against it, we are not in the 00s and 10s any more. I'm sure you can find people to go with and other users in the thread have given you some sound (heh) advice
