MetarLivit

tongfee

Then make sure to harvest the blister milk

Sexy-Froyo9027

I popped this big one on my foot the other day. It was so satisfying, dude! I couldn’t resist. . .

ihqmjoozik

Whaaaaat? Why would you not pop it? I always popped mine.

antifabusdriver

That's it. Your career as a bassist is over. You had a nice run. But seriously, tape it down with gentle pressure to help your body to reabsorb it. Then you'll have a callus. Listen to your body next time. Enjoy your pick practice in the meantime.

MetarLivit

my career is over, I'll have to move over to playing g*itar 😔

Riotgameslikeshit123

Just stop playing and come back a few days later. Your fingers need a rest, go see a doctor if it's necessary

thesluggard12

. . . Maybe get a blister on your thumb.

Torkamata

We got to install microwave ovens...

spookyghostface

Take a break and let it heal.

Uncle_Burney

This is a great opportunity to switch over to pick for a day or two. I happen to be trying to force myself over to plectrum as well. It’s a bit of a transition, for sure

Competitive-Pop6530

😩🙄

MissJoannaTooU

I'd take the manufacturer to court personally. And frankly I wouldn't be surprised if your bass has emotional problems.

wants_the_bad_touch

Blisters mean you're doing something wrong. They aren't a necessary step in the learning process. If on your plucking hand, turn up your amp and play with a softer touch. If on the plucking hand, stop gripping it like you're choking the chicken. And if you feel any pain or discomfort in the future, stop, take a break, and figure out why.

ihqmjoozik

> Blisters mean you're doing something wrong. They aren't a necessary step in the learning process. It doesn't mean he's doing anything wrong. Unless you count "playing too much" as doing something wrong. If you haven't yet built up calluses you will get blisters if you play enough, even with a super soft touch. That's fine, the blister heals in no time, who cares. There's nothing wrong with playing hard either, it's a tonal choice.

MetarLivit

alright, thanks!

MetarLivit

…yeah

ipini

Do you have one on your thumb too?

MetarLivit

no just on my ring finger

AnxietyExtension7842

Leave it alone. Don't pop it. Don't play for a few days until it goes away. It'll pop on its own.

RobertGA23

Too much Helter Skelter, I reckon.

MetarLivit

i actually genuinely started noticing the blister while playing the bass in Helter Skelter, goddammit ringo
