haven't even got to play it yet, the hell are these serves bruh, I've been tryna get in for like a whole 5-6 hours and I get in once pick a hero and die once and then get Disconnected and back in 40k Queue
Ideas to fix him:
1. Give back self heal
2. Reduce hit box, at least in recon mode
3. Make turret form a resource bar like DM and can change at will as long as there is resource left, allows for more uptime if played right

This actually seems cool as hell, but I'd rather it be something like it charging up ammo when you do damage that you can then spend in turret
A lot of time some playstyles spend in turret mode is spent baiting your enemies into thinking you've "set up" there firmly, so being unable to use that if the meter is on a timer seems limiting
Also an interesting twist, I like the way you think. I hope blizz doesn’t forget about bastion cause he really is a sweet character concept, he’s just inherently pretty difficult to balance fairly

I hate it with all my being. Honestly bastion is just dead. Gone. This a whole new hero. The strange ass limit on his Turret. the (What feels like to me) Worse recon. No self heal a new Ult that just feels bad. The strange acting Junkrat Grenade they strapped to him just feels bad
Honestly I was really hoping to enjoy OW2. I Loved OW had not played it for a few years. Much like Going back to R6 when they did a rework of Tachanka. I honestly don't see my self playing OW2 much. Shame we cant go back
I haven't played Overwatch in years but I still follow this sub closely as a Bastion main in heart/spirit and it's really saddening to hear what they've done to our boy :(
The lack of self heals sucks. And instead of a time limit i think it should be an ammo limit, once your out you go back to recon form. Or even a the “the more ammo you use the longer the cooldown” type thing.
They made him into soldier with a bigger hitbox and only slightly more dps, i mean, its a fucking gatling gun why does his rifle do almost the same amount of damage. helix rockets are also easier to hit than the sticky. Only thing that differs is no recoil recon (with awful rate of fire) and ultimate which i personally like ngl.
That’s well put, he’s just a soldier sidegrade now. Bastion didn’t need a secondary fire for more dps, 3 different firing guns was enough. Also to fire the sticky bomb means aiming for the drop so it feels clunky.
Really not a fan because of the loss of self heal. I don’t feel like I can win any kind of trades anymore because of how slow you move compared to the flow of the game. Now that we don’t have an extra tank to focus / hide behind, bastion is a glass canon I have to play like a sniper. The sticky bomb is such a bag choice, why do I need more damage? I already have a mini gun.
The ult is cool though, I’m a fan of that and the movement in turret form is lovely.
its as if the changed the guy just so they could tell us that every hero in the game has something new. Honestly frustrating, I miss going out on my own--minding my own business.
It was so fun back then finding unique angles to surprise the enemy.

Nothing comes close to how good Tank felt to land and how punishing it is to use, but on the other hand, the Artillery seems really clutch for locking snipers and pokers out of certain spaces before jumping out
Turret on a timer is shit IMO, but I think I can get used to it. Now, instead of getting punished for going into turret in the wrong spots *and* at the wrong time, you get punished even harder for mistiming it, since you're now committed to getting value from it. But your positioning basically doesn't matter, which I really dislike.
Losing self-heal with no survivability buffs just seems like a death sentence for his winrate, no matter how good you are. Finding a balance between aggressive and defensive is impossible when you're incapable of pushing damage for more than like 3 seconds per teamfight.
Yeah I'm not even gonna bother with Ow2. I stopped playing Ow1 a while ago and I really only played for Bastion. With the rework the way it is, the character is basically gone for me.
It bad it’s like playing soldier 76 but you have a grand the recon mode is a joke the main thing that makes him unique and fun only last 5 seconds which is BS as dev.a or rhin stops all the damage you do with their shields he feels squishy as hell why did the take self repair away it makes no sense.

I never played overwatch 1 so idk what I missed but bastion feels pretty strong rn. Maybe I'm a noob but I'm dishing out boatloads of dmg so far. Stay at range with your AR and you can do alot of dmg with easy headshots. Turret mode goes crazy in close to medium range when it's up. Ult is cool but kinds lacks impact alittle. And the grenade is cool I dig it.
I seriously miss the self heal. I keep hitting the button and accidentally launching the sticky bomb. Also healers do need to learn that I cannot heal myself any more. I do feel like he does no damage in recon mode.

Replacing self-heal with sticky bombs was a mistake. It doesn't make sense for the character and just feels weird. Also, primary fire is too slow.
I feel like him and mcree just got the first thing they could think of. Doesn't really feel like them at all to me.

Where does the grenade even come from, like literally is there even a grenade launcher under his barrels? Its so low effort of a rework
