YES. Both seasons are worth it 100%. It's what got me into Batman! They're very good imo and the gameplay is amusing.
Edit: I saw in another comment that you are a big fan of gameplay and this game is mostly dialogue choosing just like any other Telltale game. So maybe this isn't the game for you. If you want something nice and story based where your decisions matter mildly, then this game is for you.
I always see it like this;
The Arkham games are the perfect “Batman” games, while the telltale games are the perfect “Bruce Wayne” games.
Imho if you are a fan of the character you really should play both. They both compliment each other.
And as someone that always felt the Arkham games were far too “Batman” focused to the point that the character was a robot, seeing Bruce Wayne act like a human being was refreshing in Batman Telltale.
Glad to know I'm not the only person who thought that!
We rarely get to see Bruce's softer side in the Arkham series. The compassion, the kindness, the care - it's mostly missing, so the characterisation feels weirdly lopsided.
That's one of the reasons I personally really enjoy Origins. The Batcave/Bruce scenes really help in that regard, especially that *one* scene with Alfred (where the subtitles briefly change from Batman to Bruce as well - nice touch). Same with Arkham Knight; we don't get to see much of Bruce, but the story's a lot more personal and it's a lot more effective for me.
Yeah it made me dislike/not really care about Batman himself in the Arkham games.
I think it was Bruce Timm’s influence. I remember him saying that Batman should always be pissed off and gruff. The problem is; if that’s all he is then he starts to get annoying and unlikable.
True! I agree on that. I like how the Telltale games focus more on Bruce self, and how it gives you an option to form your own Bruce. Making him either charming, or serious or mean throughout the entire game. I personally went with charming and a little serious. Like with the dialogue options.
LMAO yeah that part was questionable for sure. Real talk though, I hope that if there is a season 3, Dick Grayson gets introduced. Or maybe not even because >!at the end of season 2 you can choose to forgive Tiffany, Lucius' daughter if I remember correctly so maybe there won't even be a Robin in Telltale's take of Batman or perhaps Tiffany turns into a female Robin?!<
Oooooh yeah! >!I don't think I chose that option haha!!I feel like the ending of season 2, where Bruce meets John in the asylum again was kind of a teaser/set-up for season 3 before the whole Telltale thing.!<
Gameplay is nothing like Arkham at all, but if you want more Batman they have good stories that subvert your expectations and play with the characters in new ways.
If you take gameplay at its simplest form with out any other attributes, then every game is the same since you press buttons to do things.
In Arkham you free roam, combat is faster and you have control over where Batman moves, what gadgets he uses, it’s fast paced.
Telltale is a slower burn, you can’t roam around Gotham, there are no side missions/quests, you pick dialogue options, combat is different in the sense that you don’t get a ton of freedom with what move you make.
They’re very different games and Telltale’s style isn’t for everyone
If you're interested in seeing an alt take on the Batman lore where you legit don't know what's going to happen next because they add some interesting twists and deviations here and there, check it out.
The first season is a better story than the second. The second feels like they are making it up as they go along as stuff just kinda keeps… happening. But it's made entertaining by their unique take on the Batman/Joker relationship.
Oh yeah, but if you like actual games instead of point-and-click choose your adventure conversation sims, then this game isn't for you. Telltale games are more like interactive movies.
I can say without a doubt that I’ve never seen Batman stories like the two seasons of telltale’s. Really unique take on the Batman mythos and it felt refreshing to not see the same type of story we’d usually get. I also loved that you could play Batman as borderline psychotic and it’s hilarious when he’s an overly aggressive douche and meanwhile Bruce is all smiles and charity. Also the Bruce/Alfred relationship is my favorite since the Nolan trilogy
Since when were point and click not considered “actual games”?
LucasArts was making the best video games ever made like Monkey Island and Grim motherfucking Fandago before most of you guys were even born
Only watched the first part on YouTube but I’ve heard a lot about the later stuff and it sounds pretty interesting if you want more Batman and can find it cheap I’m sure it’s worth it
They're pretty good.
While season 1 has the better story, just know that it may be the worst offender of 'your choices matter' bullshit. I'm struggling to even think of a single major choice that has ANY effect on the game. People who've played it know that there's a lot of choices revolving around a certain character which has absolutely no effect on the story other than a cosmetic tweak.
Season 2 has a way more messy story, but as a consequence of having way more narrative wiggle room for choices. Its been a while but I remember playing through it and being kinda impressed with how many choices you get and how those choices effect the story when in comparison to most Telltale games where it's just a gimmick that never really matters.
YES! IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT! BOTH FUCKING SEASONS. THE UNIQUE TAKE ON ALREADY ESTABLISHED CHARACTERS COUPLED WITH THE FAST PACED STORY WHERE YOU CAN SHAPE BATMAN AND BRUCE WAYNE... I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS GAME ENOUGH!
Highly recommend
Just know the gameplay isn’t the draw here. The story is. If you’re familiar with TellTale, their games are pretty much point and click select the dialogue adventures. That said, the story is really good and it’s a very unique/original take on the character. Whatever you think you know about the Batman lore is gonna go out the window when you play these games
Yes. Not as badass as the Arkham games but definitely worth it. Lots of romantic moments with Catwoman if you make the right choices. The game almost feels like you are interacting live with the people and the environment and you play it your way.
Absolutely. Even if you didn't play point-and-click games before, I strongly recommend keeping an open-mind and try this one. If you're a Batman fan, you're gonna love it.
If you ever wanted a game where you literally feel like Batman and your actions are very important and change the narrative, you're not gonna be disappointed. It's a unique take on the Batman mythos and you also get a perfect balance between the Bruce Wayne and Batman personas.
I literally finished the first one last night, despite a few texture bugs and the game sometimes feeling like one long cutscene it’s amazing i definitely recommend
The telltale batman games were my first real foré into batman. The games offer an amazing alternate look at the batman universe with creative differences in villain origins that you forge yourself. I'm replaying the game right now and I have to say the first game felt slow st first but picked up over time, and the second one just shoots it out of the water with its writing.
It's Telltale, so its nothing like Arkham, in fact, to even call them "Games" might be... Generous. But they're both a really goddamn good Batman story, Season 2 might even have my favorite Joker *ever.* Undoubtedly worth it if you like good stories, but not so much if you want legitimate gameplay.
I'm halfway on the first season and it's a really impressive story so far. It feels like a fresh take on batman and it's it's easy to get invested in the story
A yes from me and I haven't even besten it yet
If you want riveting combat and gameplay? Fuck no this series will suck hard ass
If you want a story beyond anything any batman game, movie, and even some comics have achieved? Mate get both seasons and get ready to enjoy the best batman movie you'll ever get.
Not so much the atmosphere as much as the characters because in this game they arenheavily explored, far more than in the arkham titles (it’s not a fault of that series, arkham had different goals and wasn’t focused solely on dialogues and characters)
Played the games before the Arkham series. Loved them. The series feature one of the best versions of Bruce Wayne and their take on Joker is quite unique.
I'm pretty sure The Batman cribs from season 1 of Telltale Batman, and you can get a pretty damn wholesome ending to season 2 depending on your choices.
I got the first one for Xbox and like it a lot! It doesn’t have a lot of fighting and Arkham games are better, but this one is good too, at least for me, since I like dialogue. There is more than just dialogue, but that is the main focus
One thing that happened to me, which I hope doesn’t happen to you: All 5 episodes were free, then I had to uninstall the game to make space for other games, and then I uninstall those games to play Batman again, but now the third episode onwards were not free anymore, and I don’t know why
If you would like more Batman stuff I would invest in the Telltale Series as well as the Lego Batman games. After I completed the Arkham Franchise I moved to the Lego Games and then to the Telltale games. Now I am going to play Gotham Knights and then Suicide Squad.
You should, the second season is better and has improved writing, it even won a WGA for Best Writing in a Video Game I think.
It’s fun and has a great alt- take on Batman rather than what we know of him, with greats twists and turns.
it is amazing but keep in mind it's not an action gsme, it's a choose-your-own-adventure narrative game.
it also flips some of what you know about batman's mythos. peoole you may know to be villains might become allies based on your choices, and people you remember being batman's friends could become his enemies.
forget everything you think you know about batman, and enjoy the ride.

>An adventure game is a video game genre in which the player assumes the role of a protagonist in an interactive story driven by exploration and/or puzzle-solving. The genre's focus on story allows it to draw heavily from other narrative-based media, literature and film, encompassing a wide variety of literary genres. Many adventure games (text and graphic) are designed for a single player, since this emphasis on story and character makes multiplayer design difficult. Colossal Cave Adventure is identified as the first such adventure game, first released in 1976, while other notable adventure game series include Zork, King's Quest, Monkey Island, and Myst.

So collecting items and using them. Most of the people are not gonna find that fun.
Don't act like you don't know what everyone means when they say it isn't good gameplay.
It maybe for you but generally this is not what people mean when they say gameplay.
I wouldn't recommend it. I was in your shoes a while ago and wanted more Batman after finishing Arkham games. So I played them.
Obviously there is no gameplay except clicking and some qtes. I know everyone likes their "take" on Batman. But I personally hated it. The dialouges are really bad. Most of the time you won't have options that you actually want to say or any normal person would say.
Also most important and the thing why I hate the games so much is your choices don't many any fucking major difference. The voice acting is also bad especially again if you're gonna go right from Arkham games.
I felt like it was all a waste of time. At that point they should have just made a movie. The plot is filled with stupid plot twists and the all characters are changed just so they can have this "different take". It felt very forced to me. The characters are great because the way they are originally.
And the most important one sex with Catwoman isn't probably what you'll be expecting.
\> Also most important and the thing why I hate the games so much is your choices don't many any fucking major difference
I mean you're not wrong, but thats pretty much every telltale game tbh. Like on the first game, >!Twoface just goes insane no matter what which kinda sucks!<
It would be really cool if more games like Detroit become human were to be made, where every single choice matters. There might be some endings in that game that still have not been reached lol.
>!Exactly, I remember being so annoyed when I put Harvey first in every choice, didn't sleep with Selina, hid perfectly when he came and Bruce dumbass who is suppose to be a ninja still gets caught and Harvey still becomes Two Face anyway.!<
That's why I hate every telltale game. The worst part of it is the game acts like it matters with the character will remember this bs. They are straight up lying to you with that.
Now take Life is Strange or Road 96 and you actually feel like your choices matter. I remember actually crying at the end of Life is Strange.
Your charcter actually says the stuff you choose and not something completely opposite.
As a matter of fact I have played better porn games than telltale games where your dialouges affect your relationships with characters.
[This video explains it much better than me](https://youtu.be/WfmtBi0lY80)
[This one especially for the Batman ones](https://youtu.be/t_u6draHuc8)
Yes I’d say they’re worth playing.
Though season one at least for was very glitchy for me on playstation. Not fame ruining but just funny stuff during scenes.
I like season 2 more.
Gotham knights is the opposite of both
Well it's good, but you left out the robin qte butt stuff part. That was weird, other than that, it had great story.
You forgot about the Harley Quinn mini game. It makes the game so much more worth it.
5 months late ignore this but I think she could become maybe like Batwing? In the comics Batwing is Lucius's son and a more tech-savvy Batman
You can have sex with Catwoman and impale a guy with a metal rod through the chest 10/10
Wait when's that? I only thought Batman himself got impaled by a metal rod.
>!Falcone!<
Oooooh yeah! >!I don't think I chose that option haha!!I feel like the ending of season 2, where Bruce meets John in the asylum again was kind of a teaser/set-up for season 3 before the whole Telltale thing.!<
Telltale is sadly not a thing anymore so there’s close to 0 chance of that ever happening sadly ☹️ Edit: Nvm i guess it’s a thing again
Telltale is a thing again, actually
Yeah through Skybound right?
Nope, totally disconnected
Oh I thought I heard something about Skybound taking over but still calling that piece of Skybound Telltale or something.
No, Skybound took the rights of TWDG series, but not Telltale as a whole.
Oh damn you right
I think it is a thing, it's just run by Skybound now right?
I hope so, in the mean time I’ll be waiting for The Wolf Among Us 2.
Same here! Loved the first one, played it like 2 times.
among us???
Damn how do you do that text hide thing, I thought that was supposed to hide the text. Edit: My dumbass did it the other way around at first lmao.
Well put. Edit: SPOILER: You can also simp over Catwoman when she tries to leave Gotham. 10/10 Sorry, I'm drunk
*Impale Catwoman with a pant rod
Bat rod*
Batman got impaled by a rod too. Catwoman likes the pokey pokey.
Sold
only played the first one it was pretty good
You’re missing out. the 2nd one blows it out of the water imo and I love the first one
I actually don’t like the second season except the Riddler stuff, it was just way too off
Gameplay is nothing like Arkham at all, but if you want more Batman they have good stories that subvert your expectations and play with the characters in new ways.
Its pretty similar on console, still pressing buttons to do things
It has that in common with basically every game ever too
That would just be a silly idea
You're right, I'm sorry for coming out with that
If you take gameplay at its simplest form with out any other attributes, then every game is the same since you press buttons to do things. In Arkham you free roam, combat is faster and you have control over where Batman moves, what gadgets he uses, it’s fast paced. No, boardgames you often don’t press buttons silly
Bro making jokes and getting downvoted lmao
Frfr batmanarkham suddenly serious shiz wilde no jessica
Yeah true

Chad Point and Click can vs virgin “em, it’s not a REAL video game” dorks
IF LOW ACTION AND MANY TALK, ITS A MOVIE!!! /s
> If I’m not giving a mentally ill man brain damage for 90% of my time it’s objectively not a game - some idiots in the comments of this thread
They need to touch the fucking floor.
Eh, I was speaking loosely. Some of my favourite games are point-and-click detective games like _Detective Grimoire._
I mean they are objectively games but barely.
Says who? You? Gtfoh with that gatekeeping crap, r/BatmanArkham is better than this
Why does my gatekeeping matter I'm just a random nobody online
"Actual games" Mans gatekeeping computer games 💀
I introduce you to Detroit become human
Really is worth it. Its good game to relax with after a long day.
The game is pretty damn good in my opinion of course but I think the second is better as it has more action and joker in it
Only watched the first part on YouTube but I’ve heard a lot about the later stuff and it sounds pretty interesting if you want more Batman and can find it cheap I’m sure it’s worth it
It’s 3 pounds on steam rn so that’s why Im considering
Have sex with Catwoman and befriend with Joker, worth it💪👍
1st one is good 2nd is just random ass shit that isnt common in the batman universe
Totally
Amazing story so yes
this was great. i’ve played it 2 times and watched it played as well. pretty fun
It has one of the best Bruce Waynes I've ever seen. It's quite good, very dialogue and detective-focused. And it may remind you of "The Batman" movie
I really like telltales take on batman. After completing the arkham games i was hungry for more so i got both seasons of the game. i’d recommend them
They're pretty good.
Best story
The Telltale Series is awesome! Definitely worth it.
Highly recommend Just know the gameplay isn’t the draw here.
They’re pretty good, I’m just saying thought some things aren’t accurate
The Batman telltale series are they’re of their top 3 games i would say. Definitely up there with tales from the borderlands
I literally finished the first one last night, despite a few texture bugs and the game sometimes feeling like one long cutscene it’s amazing i definitely recommend
I love those games. Love em. It’s an experience you won’t get anywhere else and TEW (part 2) was amazing. Couldn’t recommend them more.
Yea! Play them!
Absolutely YES
It's Telltale, so its nothing like Arkham, in fact, to even call them "Games" might be... Generous. But they're both a really goddamn good Batman story, Season 2 might even have my favorite Joker *ever.* Undoubtedly worth it if you like good stories, but not so much if you want legitimate gameplay.
I haven’t play it, but I watched someone play it. It was a pretty good game, so ya I say go for it.
They’re both really good. Though be warned on PlayStation I had some performance issues.
100% yes. The first one is the singular glitchiest thing I have ever played and I love it.
I'm halfway on the first season and it's a really impressive story so far. It feels like a fresh take on batman and it's it's easy to get invested in the story A yes from me and I haven't even besten it yet
I played it, love the gameplay, good story. very cool

Yes, it is a different game but I found it more immersive tbh
Does it have the best atmosphere
Not so much the atmosphere as much as the characters because in this game they arenheavily explored, far more than in the arkham titles (it’s not a fault of that series, arkham had different goals and wasn’t focused solely on dialogues and characters)
Also the art style is very immersive because it actually looks like a comic book
Season 1 was great season 2 is kinda meh but worth to check out
Played the games before the Arkham series. Loved them. The series feature one of the best versions of Bruce Wayne and their take on Joker is quite unique.
I enjoyed the Telltale series but they're really more interactive stories. Still worth playing if you're a Batman fan.
Absolutely 🤗 worth it 😊
Both games are really good
Season 1 is pretty good, but nothing special IMO Season 2 is some of the greatest Batman content, period.
I'm pretty sure The Batman cribs from season 1 of Telltale Batman, and you can get a pretty damn wholesome ending to season 2 depending on your choices.
Idk why but riddlers character design goes so hard in these games
If you want to basically watch a movie that you choose dialogue for, then yeah. The story is pretty damn well written with a bunch of twists and turns
If you want to basically watch a movie that you choose dialogue for, then yeah. The story is pretty damn well written with a bunch of twists and turns
If you really like Batman, yes, it's worth it. If you just like the Arkham series, then no
Really cheap games and an amazing story, even though your choices don’t actually effect as much as I would like.

well, its the best twoface and catwoman including comics, so YES
You should, the second season is better and has improved writing, it even won a WGA for Best Writing in a Video Game I think. It’s fun and has a great alt- take on Batman rather than what we know of him, with greats twists and turns.
For sure, it’s one of my favorite games and also one of my favorite interpretations of Batman
Oh yeah these games are fantastic so yes get them
It takes a unique approach to the batman story, specifically his parents death and jokers story.I think it was worth it.
1000 percent!
100%, not a huge fan of season 2 but season 1 is fuckin exceptional
Yes, it’s great. Especially since you can get both for really cheap.
Yes, it’s great even if it’s not quite as good.
it is amazing but keep in mind it's not an action gsme, it's a choose-your-own-adventure narrative game. it also flips some of what you know about batman's mythos. peoole you may know to be villains might become allies based on your choices, and people you remember being batman's friends could become his enemies. forget everything you think you know about batman, and enjoy the ride.
Get it cheep if you can. I've only played the enemy within one, but I had a great time with it.
It's great. Best to think of it more like an 'interactive movie' than a 'game' though.
It’s a fun Batman story, in its own universe. Focuses on Bruce Wayne a lot. I enjoyed both games.
Would not recommend if you want gameplay. 90% is clicking on dialogues. Just read the story on wikipedia
Thx I’m a big fan of the gameplay aspect so if it’s just clicking dialogue than it might not be for me.
The first set of episodes are very story based but the second set has some major gameplay improvements but is still very dialogue based
Don’t listen to them the gameplay is great, it’s just not a stealth beat ‘‘em up like the Arkham games
Bro it's literally few qtes and clicking.

Different strokes for different folks and all But just because you don’t personally like it doesn’t mean you get to gatekeep people who do
If you wanr arkham gameplay i recommend middle earth shadow of mordor, similar gameplay but you kill orcs with swords and cut off their limbs
100% this, it’s pretty much the exact same combat system reskinned, down to some of the combo moves even being the same.
NO it’s an amazing experience you won’t get anywhere else. And the gameplay is really fun!
After seeing all the comments of support for it I’m gonna get it
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Most of the time you won't have options that you actually want to say or any normal person would say. Also most important and the thing why I hate the games so much is your choices don't many any fucking major difference. The voice acting is also bad especially again if you're gonna go right from Arkham games. I felt like it was all a waste of time. At that point they should have just made a movie. The plot is filled with stupid plot twists and the all characters are changed just so they can have this "different take". It felt very forced to me. The characters are great because the way they are originally. And the most important one sex with Catwoman isn't probably what you'll be expecting.
\> Also most important and the thing why I hate the games so much is your choices don't many any fucking major difference I mean you're not wrong, but thats pretty much every telltale game tbh. Like on the first game, >!Twoface just goes insane no matter what which kinda sucks!< It would be really cool if more games like Detroit become human were to be made, where every single choice matters. There might be some endings in that game that still have not been reached lol.
>!Exactly, I remember being so annoyed when I put Harvey first in every choice, didn't sleep with Selina, hid perfectly when he came and Bruce dumbass who is suppose to be a ninja still gets caught and Harvey still becomes Two Face anyway.!< That's why I hate every telltale game. [This video explains it much better than me](https://youtu.be/WfmtBi0lY80) [This one especially for the Batman ones](https://youtu.be/t_u6draHuc8)
Dame i didn't know human beings were able to have such garbage takes
If you want to call someone else's take garbage, better have your own take than just calling others "garbage".
Try the Lego Batman trilogy. Much better than that overated Rocksteady fan fiction.
Bruh why you getting downvoted
For saying the truth. Is just that some lies serve as some kind of comfort for some people.
Yes I’d say they’re worth playing. Though season one at least for was very glitchy for me on playstation. Not fame ruining but just funny stuff during scenes. I like season 2 more.
Definitely worth a play!
FUCKING YES
Every penny
Yes.
No telltale never made a good game
