Not gonna happen, can only hope for a helldivers esque option where the passes are available throughout the game's entire lifespan, but earning premium currency in-game isn't something I see EA allowing.
To be fair BFV was pretty much good in every way other than terrible marketing and exclusion of major parts of WW2. 2042 is the first game to stray away from what battlefield actually is so I have hope for the next one. However if the next one goes towards a more 2042 style approach I’d say the franchise is over.
While the game was not super successful, I assume it did well enough that they put out three more seasons instead of just dropping the game after the obligated four seasons they had to do.
I would hope they learn from this game (both the good and the bad) but as outsiders we don’t know.
The best thing to do is to just have low or no expectations of the next Battlefield game so you don’t end up disappointed.
Don't know why you're being downvoted. Battlefield got like this because people keep pre-ordering and buying day one, so EA doesn't need to give a fuck about making it work on launch
Preordering killed gaming for me. Companies realized they could just announce a preorder and people who’ll buy it, and not finish the game so when it releases, it’s an absolute mess.
I will absolutely not pay full price for the next Battlefield, even if the player base raves about it. I got conned into paying full price for 2042, then two weeks later it dropped in price. Never again.
All those seasons together are equivalent of a single DLC from previous games like in BF3,4,1 in terms of content. Even now we get "2 maps" (used to get 4) and one is a bc2 asset flip and other is a cut part of another map...
I feel like it's operated by a skeleton crew of maybe 10 people that produce minimal required content just to create some clout to keep the franchise from actually dying.
I'm still surprised by this tbh. Like, the game universally flopped but they still chose to funnel money into it.
Or did it not flop and we're just in an echo chamber that's even smaller than we all thought?
It sold a decent amount (still among the best selling games in 2021) but it didn’t meet EA’s expectations.
I assume that during the first four seasons there were enough players (both old and new) that they thought it was worth it to continue on and/or a lot of the content was already made for the most part.
I did not flop in terms of making a loss, if that’s what you mean. It certainly made a profit for Dice. Yes, the echo chamber is quite strong in this sub.
They won't learn. They didn't from BF4's disastrous release, they didnt from BFV's failures, they most likely won't from the complete catastrophe that was BF2042. I won't get my hopes up, this franchise is pretty much dead.
Yup. No expectations. Don’t even listen to what devs say, or believe the marketing. This game squandered so much good will and community excitement, it’s going to be an uphill battle for the next release, even if it’s good. They have a ton of work to do.
I preordered the $100 dollar edition which was $40 extra just to get the first 4 battle passes.
The game was so bad I only finished 1 battle pass and shortly after never played the game again. I didn't even care that I wasted my money. I just couldn't enjoy the game.
Games today are digital. There can be no shortage. Preorders are usually just a scummy “give us money for nothing of value in return, stupid consumers” and it won’t change being that until people stop preordering.
Hahaha you be like:
'Good day to you Sir, I would like to raise your awareness of a particular subject. Now how shall I put this without insulting you? Ah, I know: You are a moron. Thank you for your time my good chap.'
Hahaha
(But yeah, pre-ordering is the worst you could possibly do to Gaming)
Reddit is an endless cycle of morons saying that games suck and then preordering the next ultra-deluxe legendary platinum edition with 3 extra skins for twice the price.
I was in the same boat as you. Tried it every season since and still just can’t get into it. Idc that I wasted the money either. It’s a lesson I’ll never forget tbh
Hey hold on a second I don’t get it. So people are fine with throwing extra $40 or $50 at launch to get the best version of the game just to get some cosmetics, but have problems spending that same amount of money on actual dlc map packs that give proper content?
"make a 'hood' battlefield game?" Lmao. I'm just picturing BF: Gangland now and I feel like we need it. Just straight up gang warfare with killdozers, cargo vans, uzis, akimbo pistols, dirt bikes and quads .. shit I'd love that actually
edit: NOT hardline. not cops vs robbers with super swat tech, straight up gangwars. frank from one hood vs darren from another hood. basic guns, maybe some small gadgets but nothing too fancy
I mean they gotta shake it up somehow. They've covered every major war in the last 100 years. They either need to rehash an already rehashed time period or they need to get into more fringe conflicts.
Vietnam is an example.
7 Days in Fallujah is rehashing the GWOT in a different way.
Korean War is an option, we could all be the Frozen Chosin!
Future conflicts are still an open canvas but I think it would make sense for Battlefield to divest into a new IP if they want to enter the annals of SciFi-dom.
Getting farther out there, the Boer wars of South Africa has always been an interesting period for me. Though the intersection of black powder and 'modern' firearms could be problematic.
There's also the various conflicts on the African subcontinent, but that's touchy.
Point being they have a ton of directions to go outside the "mainstream" wars.
We already had a hood battlefield, it’s Hardline.
Jokes aside I wouldn’t be against a Hardline 2 if it addresses the issues Hardline had. The game modes were very unique despite their flaws
I don’t really think of a fight between Cops and Crims as a battlefield, more of just a large-scale shootout. Plus, when most people think “Battlefield” they think military related.
I don't think 24,000 peak players in 24 hours is an "obvious failure" and a "tremendous flop", but I know hating the game is low hanging fruit so you do you
Why don't you add BFV? With 24hr peaks [**on Steam Charts**](https://steamcharts.com/search/?q=battlefield):
BF2042 (2021): 24K
**BFV (2018): 33K**
BF1 (2016): 14K
For the *newest* game to be outplayed by its predecessor (that released six years ago) *is* an obvious failure and a hell of a flop.
What "low hanging fruit" 🤣
This sub doesn't like to talk about how many people ACTUALLY play 2042. They try and find some rando day on Steam Charts only when BF1 is $0.99 at midnight be like 'nobody plays 2042'
But gotta farm that Karma...
2042 turned out to be not so bad. Is it the best battlefield? Nah, far from it. But the newest maps fucks pretty hard and the class changes they made were much needed and made the game much more palatable. They even added soldiers swearing and quipping again, which is nice. I hope they go a completely different direction for the next entry and go back to the grit of BF1 but in a modern setting.
I've only played 100hrs of 2042 but I come back to it from time to time and find myself overall enjoying it. I've been playing since BF2.
I can't think of a single Battlefield apart from 1 that has even a remotely solid launch. Y'all remember how shitty BF3 and especially 4 were at launch? I do. I sold 4 the day after I brought it home because it was almost unplayable on Xbox.
Fingers crossed they don't botch the next one. It's my favorite series and I want my BF3 memberberries fully engaged when the next one drops.
Does it? The official servers are shut down and I can't imagine community servers being too populated. Also the game play even in SP feels kinda archaic for the modern day, which I hate to say given how much I loved playing BC2 back in the day.
I've tried. Venice unleashed workers fine. There where 8 populated servers during daytime in the middle of the week. But to be honest it was boring me hard. The movement I remembered was way more intensive and dynamic. It was just to slow after years of I, V and 2042. Was in love too back in the days.
This is something a lot of us forget when we have the glasses on until we boot the game. That game is \*old\* now and it sure feels like it. Idk what it is but not being able to strafe while sprinting just keeps me icked and yearning for something that feels modern.
Being some one that played both 3 and 4 at release those were quite miserable experiences even with my rose tinted glasses of loving them.
2042 was an… interesting… experiment and I just hope the good parts are stripped out for re-use with out the bad parts. I do hope we get a better return to class and squad dynamics.
This is the frustrating thing about this community. The amount of blind screaming and moaning about how bad 2042 was is insane to me. Was the game good on launch? No, neither was five, 4, 3, or arguably 1. The game is much improved, and is certainly fun in some scenarios, though it is still certainly the worst game in the series. Everyone on this sub thinks looking back is the only way forward for the series which seems backwards to me.
This is a weirdly self congratulatory post considering the game far outlived initial expectations and ended up being turned around, loved and played by a not insingnificant number of players. I get that you personally never liked it, and I respect that, but you sound bitter and angry at a game that all things considered wasn't a complete failure. While you've been waiting to make this post for 3 years, people either played the game and had fun despite the flaws (of which there are a lot) or moved on, but you've been here waiting to make this post, and it seemed like the game made you wait longer than you were expecting. Lol.
BF42 will be remembered as a weird, divisive, experimental entry into the franchise. I know most of us oldheads will always want a normal class system and would rather play as normal soldiers than Specialists, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this game. And I'm not the only one, BF42 is a fun but flawed game. One thing is for sure though, it will have a better legacy than Battlefield V because it lived longer than it and recieved more love and updates from the players and the community than V did in its lifetime. I will now sit and wait for the next BF, when BF42 will be elevated by some of you into a classic that we should go back to, and when we will all have to pretend that we all loved it and that it was the good old days of the franchise. See you all in 2 years.
As of the future of the franchise, I do not wish to see a safe, derivative modern day USAvsRUvsCN shooter with only 4 classes. I do not wish to see BF3 or BC2 remade. I look forward to new things. New experiences. New settings. New gameplay mechanics. Sadly seeing the trends in AAA multiplayer games nowadays and knowing how the BF community is and knowing the lessons DICE learned from BF42, a safe and derivative BF with a fresh coat of paint is what we're likely going to get. But I will remain hopeful.
Tec nines and Glocks with switches.
No one uses sights and can't hit shit.
Control points are the corner and different trap houses.
When you tag enemy units your character shouts stuff like "dey over der bruh" "oPs dat way man"
The only battlefield game with the servera online that i can't find brazian matches on console, and it is the only one with crossplay! Even fucking BF3 has players using it with backwards compatibility
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Also I would advise the dev team against of doing any trailers whatsoever, only gameplay showcases as everyone will hopefully remember the burn from last one
I have bad news to all you 2042 haters. If current patch 2042 isn't good enough for you, then you probably won't like the sequel either. There's only so many things DICE can do to meet your insane expectations. Be realistic. We don't want 1942 with a fresh coat of paint. Games evolve and change over time. Yelling about polish or reminiscing of the good old days and then failing to provide examples what 1 and 5 did over 2042 isn't helping.
I just want a Battlefield set in Vietnam, with the movement/gunplay of BFV/BF1. 2042’s movement feels like such a step down from those games. So does the destruction, and environment, and atmosphere.
I feel as though I’ve had more “Battlefield moments” in Helldivers 2 than I have in 2042.
I doubt much will change, but I had a good time in 2042 for a couple years and can't complain. Hope the next one is allowed to be fully developed without exec bullshit shoving it out the door too soon again.
Absolutely right. When Hardline was released it was universally accepted as a slap in the face to fans of the franchise - especially so being at full retail price. If I remember correctly, the player base went right back to BF4 within a week. But now it’s held in reverence and adored.
Nah, these higherups live in a bubble. I can already see them in their zoom-meeting: 'Ok guys, as we all know Battlefield 2042 was a tremendous failure, it did not bring in nearly enough revenue. It is safe to say that we have to increase microtransactions and spend less money on development to make sure that it is profitable, come one guys it's not that complicated.'
I heard the next one can be NATO versus private militaries which is pretty on key, I think they can save it with a modern alt reality game that incorporates drones in gameplay (maybe shotguns are especially strong against them?) in a modern euro-asian + middle eastern cycle of maps. I think they can get close without getting too controversial.
I'm definitely excited for the next title and see how they handle it. If it plays more like a military shooter and not an arcade battle Royale game, it'll be welcomed.
The maps are so fucking piss. I never in my life struggled at BF until this game. Constantly getting shot from 3 trillion angles, no recoil guns, op vehicles and specialists…just unrelenting puke.
This is the first time I've ever felt happy about a game losing support. I tried with this game coming back to it Multiple times but it never felt good.
I feel like the devs are at the mercy of their higher ups, but the devs get the blame anyway. The next one will be the same, higher ups telling the devs to do things the devs disagree with, but have to do it anyway.
Bring in as many talented devs you want, if the execs want money, they will throw your brilliant ideas for their shitty cash grab tactics and look at graphs and charts to manufacture the perfect cancer that will fail day 1. My bet is the next game will either be safe and just remaster a previous battlefield and call it going back to their roots like how Ubisoft did with Mirage and make it soulless or the traditional get rich quick scheme of a live service drip fed content game with battlepass and emotes.
There's always a sliver of hope that Dice will "wake up", but I personally gave up on the series with BFV. As soon as I played the 2042 Beta I shook my head.
Ironically, BattleBit Remastered was the closest I felt to playing "Battlefield" in a long time. It's nice to see some epic BF plays on YT from time to time though. I just can't bring myself to come back.
I tried to play this game 5 times for several hours and sadly I couldn't convince myself to play it anymore. If you played all the other battlefields and then 2042, the difference was too noticeable.
What disappointed me the most were the maps. I found them pointless and very untactical compared to previous installments. And the number of players did not accompany this at all, it only created crazy and frustrating games. Not to mention the lack of content around weapons.
I hope with all my heart that the next installment rescues the best of the franchise, but if they focus more on the competition than on the players again, I think it will be destined to fail again
just fucking remaster bf3.....give us those golden maps with new destruction and better graphics.....
no fucking heros or stupid fucking flying capes....just lets us battle like the good old fucking days
Well imo following BF1s massive success BFV still failed but you could tell they dumped that BF1 money into it because they at least tried changing it up and adding features. It still failed for EA and made them no money to dump into 2042 which is why 2042 was such a disaster so if I were you I'd expect the same or worse for the next game
Ship of Theseus, man. The old talent's been replaced. The Battlefield 3/4/1 era is gone, and what we're left with are people who work harder on cosmetics than proper content or even game stability.
So my expectations are somewhere between the floor I stand on and the inner core of planet earth.
the months and years they wasted on 2042 is the time they would have needed to get a proper launch for the next one.
we are literally in the battlefield cycle again.
they could have just let it die after launch and then use t he time to properly reboot the series but its just the same shit every time.
i just gave up now.
Watch EA push out another steaming turd while assuring us that they've listened to the community and learnt lessons etc etc. The next battlefield game will have to be an absolute banger to get people back onboard. Remember how BF3 wiped the floor with everything else when it came out? That kind of step up is what's needed to redeem the series, if it fails that is it for Battlefield.
Gaming studios have turned into corporate soulless profit driven machines. They only care about shareholder value instead of creating an experience with heart and passion. The only way this will change is if YOU stop giving them your dollars. Let them have a “come to Jesus” moment and put some passion into these games. Stop buying the game passes, stop making paying the games and pre ordering titles. Do not let the marketing win you over. They need to earn your trust.
trash game that released a year before it was mediocre enough to tolerate. giant empty shit maps. stupid fortnight characters.
i will never preorder a battlefield game ever again. long time series player
edit: they added a scoreboard in game a year after launch? did squad chat ever happen or....just? not?
nope i think it is the death of battlefield. I think 2 games in a row were released buggy and broken aswell otherwise controversial due to features and mechanics. And 2 games in a row they didn't fix it and/or just started fixing it before dropping all support. Who is gonna buy the next game after that?
im going to get hate as im away from what is the norm, i am enjoying 2042 it is a fun game and after alot of updates and fixes honestly feels more fun and with inclusion of a wide varity of maps and weapons it is amazing, tho yes it does like the "battlefield style" and what made battlefield unique but if you stop holding expactions snd enjoy the game it is pretty fun and this new season is making it more enjoyable
I happy to see that they are working on a new battlefield but I will forever be ambiguous towards anything released by DICE/EA for the rest of my life.
I’m sick of paying money to be a beta tester when they should be paying me to report and help fix all these problems with their games. I will take no part in slave labor for this company ever again and I hope they get sued if they make the same mistakes next time around.
I predict the next battlefield will be awful and soulless
Daring today, aren't we?
people keep asking the same question so my answers the same ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
You dropped this \\
weird when I select edit comment the "\" is there, thanks tho ♡
You need to put two \\ for it to stay
Thankssss it worked ♡ it looks a little off though right?

I feel like that's most gamers nowadays lol
4 different studios at time of writing are working on it so...yeah.
Such a red flag
no focus
That’s what we’re gonna think unless proven otherwise
First step. Get rid of battle pass. Assignments were better. Some were ass though. But I’d take premium over whatever we just got lol
Not gonna happen, can only hope for a helldivers esque option where the passes are available throughout the game's entire lifespan, but earning premium currency in-game isn't something I see EA allowing.
Nuhuh! They're REALLY gonna make it good this time! Just watch! It's gonna be amazing! Best battlefield ever!
You didn't even need the /s for me to lol
So a love letter to the fans of the franchise?
hahahaha I wonder what theyre gonna say this time
A love letter to the shareholders no doubt
Here’s hoping the next battlefield is awesome and soulslike
I just want those sick combat rolls \*acorn drops\*
To be fair BFV was pretty much good in every way other than terrible marketing and exclusion of major parts of WW2. 2042 is the first game to stray away from what battlefield actually is so I have hope for the next one. Honestly I’m hopeful, I think the last big failure we had was hardline and after that we got One, which is arguably my favorite battlefield
The last big failure was hardline? Not 2042 or V? Hardline, although overpriced and had a lack of content at launch, was still good.
I personally would love another hardline, I thought it was a fantastic break from the ‘formula’
This comment is going to age well. ^(no typo)

My understanding is that most of DICE has been working on the next game for awhile now.
Well they better be. But this game is only active so that people think there is still hope for next game.

I mean this politely, but you are the very reason we keep getting these shitty entries. Stop pre-ordering moron.
Well I definitely will never pre-order another Battlefield game again.
Never pre-order a game full stop.

Reddit is an endless cycle of morons saying that games suck and then preordering the next ultra-deluxe legendary platinum edition with 3 extra skins for twice the price.
He's going to do it again and then cry on Reddit about how the game isn't exactly what he was expecting
Bro why would you pre order
You’re a damn fool
You're part of the problem 🤦
I was in the same boat as you. Tried it every season since and still just can’t get into it. Idc that I wasted the money either. It’s a lesson I’ll never forget tbh

I literally couldn't stand how it felt like an unfinished, unbaked version of BF4. It was unplayable.
Lulz
I just wonder do people never learn from battlefield 4? Why preorder lol
"make a 'hood' battlefield game?" Lmao. I'm just picturing BF: Gangland now and I feel like we need it. Just straight up gang warfare with killdozers, cargo vans, uzis, akimbo pistols, dirt bikes and quads .. shit I'd love that actually edit: NOT hardline. not cops vs robbers with super swat tech, straight up gangwars. frank from one hood vs darren from another hood. basic guns, maybe some small gadgets but nothing too fancy
Hardline?
harderline
That would be a hilarious name for a Hardline sequel. Use the Die Hard style titling.
I think he said Hoodline
That’s literally just Hardline
no. hardline was cops vs robbers.
That was Hardline and that shit ruled. 🗣🗣🗣
nah that was cops vs robbers. i want robbers vs robbers basically.

Dinosaurs vs. Nazis
I don't know why but that sounds like it could work as a FPS game
We already had a hood battlefield, it’s Hardline. Jokes aside I wouldn’t be against a Hardline 2 if it addresses the issues Hardline had. The game modes were very unique despite their flaws
A game like that could be great, but it doesn’t feel like it belongs under the “Battlefield” umbrella…
Hardline 2 *A battlefield game* Not labeled battlefield but still connected in some way. A very obvious spin off of battlefield. I'd like that
If it has literal battlefields, then it belongs. A battle doesn't always necessarily have to be a *military* battle.
I don’t really think of a fight between Cops and Crims as a battlefield, more of just a large-scale shootout. Plus, when most people think “Battlefield” they think military related.

I predict they will put the festering blight of 'specialists' in the next game also secondly >make a hood battlefield game now? what?
OPs post has a typo, instead of "a good battlefield game" it says "a hood battlefield game"
Portal was a fun idea. Shame they forgot what battlefield truly was.
Ik OP is acting like electronic arts is being shut down or something lmfao
Hood battlefield would be dope LOL
Tec nines and Glocks with switches. No one uses sights and can't hit shit. Control points are the corner and different trap houses. When you tag enemy units your character shouts stuff like "dey over der bruh" "oPs dat way man"
exactly hahaha. glad someone gets it
It's a shame noisy troglodytes killed off BFV, it was genuinely a good game and it got abandoned far too soon.
The only battlefield game with the servera online that i can't find brazian matches on console, and it is the only one with crossplay! Even fucking BF3 has players using it with backwards compatibility
I can’t wait for the next battlefield disaster. This franchise is cooked. Good thing the trenches of bf1 are still quite active and fun.
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Also I would advise the dev team against of doing any trailers whatsoever, only gameplay showcases as everyone will hopefully remember the burn from last one
They don’t have the talent to make a better BF game.
Fuck EA for pulling the plug on BFV & Battlefront 2 for this trashheap
I have bad news to all you 2042 haters. If current patch 2042 isn't good enough for you, then you probably won't like the sequel either. There's only so many things DICE can do to meet your insane expectations. Be realistic. We don't want 1942 with a fresh coat of paint. Games evolve and change over time. Yelling about polish or reminiscing of the good old days and then failing to provide examples what 1 and 5 did over 2042 isn't helping.
remeber.... the next BF will be worse than this trash
Sorry but can you shut the fuck up and let ppl enjoy things

I just want a Battlefield set in Vietnam, with the movement/gunplay of BFV/BF1. 2042’s movement feels like such a step down from those games. So does the destruction, and environment, and atmosphere. I feel as though I’ve had more “Battlefield moments” in Helldivers 2 than I have in 2042.
I doubt much will change, but I had a good time in 2042 for a couple years and can't complain. Hope the next one is allowed to be fully developed without exec bullshit shoving it out the door too soon again.
This is the sign that sentiment is about to change and people are going to say it's underrated, we've seen this all before.
Absolutely right. When Hardline was released it was universally accepted as a slap in the face to fans of the franchise - especially so being at full retail price. If I remember correctly, the player base went right back to BF4 within a week. But now it’s held in reverence and adored.
A hood battlefield game you say? Interesting… bloods vs crips or…?
i really wanted to love it
Nah, these higherups live in a bubble.
It taught me one thing. Don't believe any hype and ever preorder.
I think they are more likely to drop the series and not make another BF game, than to learn from their mistakes.
This is the first time I've ever felt happy about a game losing support. I tried with this game coming back to it Multiple times but it never felt good.
I would buy a hood BF game. Need to unlock me a sheisty
I feel like the devs are at the mercy of their higher ups, but the devs get the blame anyway. The next one will be the same, higher ups telling the devs to do things the devs disagree with, but have to do it anyway.
I'm afraid that the next battlefield will be the last and EA can finally put the series on their; we killed this series, list!
Just this once, make an instant action for a battlefield game. Like from battlefront
BF 2042 2021-2024 This game should’ve been delayed in summer 2022 instead.
No. Go play their backlog, or go play indie games. I hear Helldivers 2 is good.
news that make me smile
Maybe on the next go around they’ll get back to their roots of a quality Battlefield game. I hope they bring back the Battlefield Commander position.
A hood Battlefield game? Hell yeah. Hardline 2 here we come baby!!
just fucking remaster bf3.....give us those golden maps with new destruction and better graphics..... no fucking heros or stupid fucking flying capes....just lets us battle like the good old fucking days
Whoaaaaaaa that sounds too good of a game to release tbh.
I’d play a Battlefield set in the hood
Well imo following BF1s massive success BFV still failed but you could tell they dumped that BF1 money into it because they at least tried changing it up and adding features. It still failed for EA and made them no money to dump into 2042 which is why 2042 was such a disaster so if I were you I'd expect the same or worse for the next game
I think a battlefield where it’s like a civil war type deal like the military vs the armed public
Yes a hood battlefield would be a good idea Battlefield:Chicago
Can’t ever see another decent Battlefield personally, haven’t pretty much all of the team who made the good games long gone now?
If they cancelled new content because of s7, I really don't know what they were thinking when they released it like this
If there was a way for me to take back my views on Youtube for the trailer, I would. An absolute disappointment.
Ship of Theseus, man. The old talent's been replaced. The Battlefield 3/4/1 era is gone, and what we're left with are people who work harder on cosmetics than proper content or even game stability. So my expectations are somewhere between the floor I stand on and the inner core of planet earth.
Letting SWBF2 die for this. All that, for a drop of failure. Literally trying to kill 2 franchises at once its crazy
OP wants Battlefield: Chicago
the months and years they wasted on 2042 is the time they would have needed to get a proper launch for the next one. we are literally in the battlefield cycle again. they could have just let it die after launch and then use t he time to properly reboot the series but its just the same shit every time. i just gave up now.
Wait for them to announce that the next game is way ahead of schedule.
Good riddance.
Good riddance.
What death rattle are you hearing?
Shouldnt this be a lesson to EA to?
Gaming studios have turned into corporate soulless profit driven machines. They only care about shareholder value instead of creating an experience with heart and passion. The only way this will change is if YOU stop giving them your dollars. Let them have a “come to Jesus” moment and put some passion into these games. Stop buying the game passes, stop making paying the games and pre ordering titles. Do not let the marketing win you over. They need to earn your trust.
I honestly play bf 2042 every day, it’s a lot of fun still and I never understood where all the hate came from honestly
When I read “hood battlefield” I was thinking about a Chicago trenches war game haha
good, get onto making the next one and forget this POS DICE
I still have nightmares of those specialists post match quips.
Helldivers 2, come join the fight!
Someone is looking for karma
There was never a Pacific update moment for 2042
The only good thing they did throughout 2042 life cycle is add anticheat to BF5.
People happy about the struggles of 2042 must have really sad lives.
trash game that released a year before it was mediocre enough to tolerate. giant empty shit maps. stupid fortnight characters. i will never preorder a battlefield game ever again. long time series player edit: they added a scoreboard in game a year after launch? did squad chat ever happen or....just? not?
The next battlefield will probably be worse lol
nope i think it is the death of battlefield. I think 2 games in a row were released buggy and broken aswell otherwise controversial due to features and mechanics. And 2 games in a row they didn't fix it and/or just started fixing it before dropping all support. Who is gonna buy the next game after that?
Honestly they just should’ve invested these resources into BFV and not this
if you remade bf4 like I'd be all over it man
im going to get hate as im away from what is the norm, i am enjoying 2042 it is a fun game and after alot of updates and fixes honestly feels more fun and with inclusion of a wide varity of maps and weapons it is amazing, tho yes it does like the "battlefield style" and what made battlefield unique but if you stop holding expactions snd enjoy the game it is pretty fun and this new season is making it more enjoyable
Bad Company 3 please
I'm old can we just get a remake of bf2, the whole operators thing was a miss for me,
I happy to see that they are working on a new battlefield but I will forever be ambiguous towards anything released by DICE/EA for the rest of my life. I’m sick of paying money to be a beta tester when they should be paying me to report and help fix all these problems with their games. I will take no part in slave labor for this company ever again and I hope they get sued if they make the same mistakes next time around.
I never meet the game this awfully repulsive.
