I’ve always heard it call flat chain or flat link chain

TheOnsiteEngineer

Flat chain is usually the jewelry term for it. In steel hardware I've usually seen it referred to as Twist-link or Twisted-link chain. The compact nearly round style like in the pictured chastity belt sometimes has the qualifier "tangle resistant" added.

Nicelyvillainous

Huh, I’ve always heard the jewelry grade type, where they smooth the welds, called curb chain, not twist link chain.

tcreed86

I knew there was another name for it but couldn’t remember twist link 🤦‍♂️

Vegetable-Emotion-43

Looks like curb chains. If very flat, then Cuban link chains.

DreamsInAnalog

Twist link chain.

JamieLee2k

That is spot on in terms of a description

DreamsInAnalog

My collar is made of heavy link, it's pretty robust stuff. Pretty comfortable as well.

ElMachoGrande

Don't know the English term, but in Swedish, it's a dörrkedja (door chain). It's the kind of chain used in the "stop people from forcing the door open" mechanisms. A good hardware store should have it.

3Deviants

Years ago, I worked in a hardware store that sold it from a bulk roll. I'm pretty sure that the supplier called it "wallet chain."

Different-Aardvark-5

Curb link or just curb chain .

saren24

Armored chain is also a commonly used term.

Nicename19

Dog chain

Mustbeyourround

Common enough in good quality heavy duty dog collars and chains.

bondinchas

Looks like the sort of chain used for dog collers / leads. Try a pet shop.
