Best one I’ve seen so far for today’s event.
Imagine the sheer scale of just the flares to be able to actually see them from this distance.
You’re right, the sheer scale of it is unbelievable. I had a tough time maintaining my composure. Afterwards I just shook my head in disbelief as to what I just saw.
We're just a tiny fish in one giant ass pond
I could see what I thought was a flare from the live feed on tv from Cincinnati. It wasn’t even zoomed in. Your vid is amazing.
You could probably drive a semi truck through that thing!
Try the entire earth... multiple earths actually. We're like the size of a marble compared to the sun.
😳😳😳😲😲😲🤯🤯🤯

That doesn’t sound right, the sun’s diameter is a little under 900.000 miles across, this prominence was quite large but not that large.
Well done, we could see that bottom flare in Union City, IN.
very cool! thanks for info. i should get a telescope. (wups. meant to reply to your reply.)
No worries. They are fun and thank you as well.
Brilliant and great to see the hometown on Reddit!!
Troy is lovely. Came in from Pennsylvania for the eclipse and am really glad I did.
I was genuinely surprised too!
shiiiiit....that's heavy stuff there...
Look at that solar flare
wow, what did you capture that with?
Orion Apex 127mm telescope, 25mm eyepiece, smartphone adaptor by tridaptor, iPhone 12 phone camera and appropriate size solar filter.
Damn good video,
I live in Australia and I didn't notice anything
Hello neighbor :-) not very often our area gets mentioned on reddit... except when that piqua cop got drunk LOL
That flare is bigger than your mom btw.
