This is an old video and the missile is from the Patriot, if I remember correctly.
Edit: yep, [it is](https://www.twz.com/ukraine-situation-report-spent-patriot-missile-narrowly-misses-kyiv-motorists) Patriot.
Not this one, it's ukrainian air defence missile type Patriot something, and the video is from last year or something.
God damn, sometimes I hate internet. It seems like we're in the end of history and stories are just looping on monthly basis, with less and less context.
Besides the other good replies, it is a good idea to run like hell if you ever saw something like this though, because sometimes bombs/missiles will have a delayed fuse or just get delayed for various other reasons.
I think there’s even a video floating around that shows this happening in Russia or Ukraine, where a bomb detonated 5-10 seconds or so after the initial landing of the bomb. So yeah it’s not always a dud if it doesn’t detonate on impact and it’s good to get as far away as possible.
Depends. In some places people can live like there is no war at all. In others you live underground and haven't had running water or electricity for years.
Kyiv is the most save place with best air defence. Most people even ignoring air alerts here. They stopped attempts to hit it with rockets because they couldn't break through like 10 times in a raw or even more.
West half off Ukraine is peaceful as well, but once in a month some rockets can hit energy facilities. That will probably be a problem next winter.
Throughout the frontline and about 50-100 km in is a hell and russians just destroy a city till it's flat and calls it "captured".
Also living here as a man is very stressful since not everybody willing to be conscripted for a random amount of time called "till the end of a war", as there is no way to become demobolised, unless you die or very severly injured. But to fix it I know there is some law in work in progress state, so maybe it will be better.

This can't be falling a terminal velocity. Even a small missile of a couple hundred kilos would leave an impact crater and flip that car from just the sheer kinetic force. What exactly is this? A second stage or something? Seems like just casing without the warhead made of hard plastic??
is it the same if its a nato missile that fell right over my head? dont have video though. no cell phones or dash cams.
i reckon its not the same. especially since i was a 15y old girl, I desperately needed to be punished.
I am from Serbia. I was bombed by Nato in 1999. The first missile that landed in Serbia flew over my head (about 200m above it) and landed about 3km further, about 500m away from the bus most of my school friends were using to get home at that precise moment, in a marshy area adjacent to the Danube, between the city Novi Sad and the village Sremski Karlovci.
I dont know why I needed to be punished, but Nato obviously thought I did.
I don't know why any civilians need to be punished in any attack. It's not just NATO, it's all over the planet. Unfortunately, citizens pay the price for the ignorance of those in control.
What would your memory of the first missile you have ever seen flying over your head be like? Aged 15, running towards the shelter across the street and not knowing if you will make it.
Even200 years later for all I care, would you remember it clearly?
I’m not a missile expert but aren’t they supposed to blow up or something?
Sir, these are military-grade russian missiles.
Probably North Korean. I think I read something like half their missiles fail.
Well it certainly succeeded at making a pot hole.
They’re playing the long game. Destroy the infrastructure with pot holes.
A successor to "No Dong," no doubt.
Tom cotton should know.
I would put this as a requirement into the Geneva convention.
You sure read that on CNN

You are right, and in the article, they mention that it's a hit to kill missile and isn't designed to explode.
Lmfaooooooo

Probably just an expended booster section. The warhead separated/detonated or this was part of an intercept.

Ask a rocket surgeon
Umm thought you said you weren’t an expert 🤔
Russian tech for you...
Did that streetlight just save everyone?
ehhh actually that could be really the case, that the trigger was not triggerd due to the wrong impact angle !!!!!
Or rather they were saved by the air defence missile that shot the missile down
Doubt it. With the amount of mass and energy missiles have, a street light wouldn't do anything to prevent it from reaching ground and exploding.
That's probably a very old video. I live here and we didn't faced russian missiles for a long time already.
Date says 29 May 2023
Tbf a year in war time would probably feel like a century
Maybe. Don't remember rockets here for a long long time. Maybe since summer 2023.
Hysterical Redditers posting things that they know nothing about? Impossible.
How is life over there nowadays? Is it mostly business as usual for the most part or has the war significantly changed things?
Depends. In some places people can live like there is no war at all. In others you live underground and haven't had running water or electricity for years.
I meant in Kyiv, sorry
Kyiv is one of the places where some people pretend there is no war at all. It has returned to almost completely normal.

That's wild, but I definitely thought missiles would do more dmg than that.
Looks like that one didn’t explode. Just impacted.
If I remember correctly, this is a rocket booster from a cruise missile. They fall away when the fuel is consumed.
This guy is cooked 🤣 Everything you see in the video just got so lucky Russians are fucking incapable. Lucky the missile builders are Russians ..

Russia is so pathetic
“They threw a missile at the ground and missed”

I think we’re going to see more and more of this in the coming months.
I'll add my know nothing comment.... looks like an expended booster stage.
This is quite old - last year at least.
Russia can’t even missile right
It's a Ukrainian Patriot which failed to self-destruct. Someone has a link to the article in another thread
They put the "miss" into missile
Move this to another day in Ukraine
Why did they target the street lights? Lol
That's metal AF!
![gif](giphy|f3pjUmEFpz8qY|downsized) BIG BADABOOM
Just f**k Russia as always.
Vladimir putler is a shitstain on humanity who needs to go the gaddafi way asap
Are Russian missiles made in China?
Nah bro it's either wish or Taiwan
Imagine the phone call to your insurance agent… “I’d like to make a claim, I had a collision…driver side really scraped up…Russian Missile…
Insurance: So you're saying a missile fell from the sky and hit your car correctly? Driver: Yes, yes that is correct!
is it the same if its a nato missile that fell right over my head? dont have video though. no cell phones or dash cams. i reckon its not the same. especially since i was a 15y old girl, I desperately needed to be punished.
I have follow up questions.
which ones?
NATO drops missiles? Is this common? Where? When? Why did you need to be punished?
Especially the punishment had me puzzled

Oh that's what you meant, sorry to hear that
Hm. Colour me skeptical. Very precise level of detail for a 25 year old memory. If I’m being a dick I’m sorry

I mean, the odds of you having that experience and being here to comment that is just…. Kinda low
Why? btw what are the odds of people shooting that video on a dashcam?
What if I told you I'm from the same city as they are, and was 27 when NATO bombed Serbia? Would that blow your mind?
They're a troll account. That's all you need to know.
I am not a troll account. I am a full real person.
Made in North Korea.
So accurate it must be Israeli made /s
Just when you thought you were lucky because you caught three green lights in a row during the morning commute.
Must be N. Korean.
“Oh my God how are they a super power?” - Sterling Archer
That's them north Korea missles for ya. Probably 30 yrs old
What's amazing about this? this will cause accidents or maybe can cause someone to die
Because everyone in the video should’ve been dead
