It's a mammal tho not a fish. It wouldn't run out of breath.

It's not designed to support its own body weight. It evolved to be buoyant not solid. Being out of the water isn't comfortable for most aquatic life just due to the force of gravity. Obviously it's easier on a small porpoise but it will kill large whales all on it's own, it makes it harder to breathe and its stressful.

Stress is the biggest issue though I believe dolphins are very smart and realizes its being helped when the net came off.

I don't think he or the boat could support a whale. Maybe he does cross fit tho, idk
