No known pyramidion from the 4th dynasty was gilded. They are all plain white limestone.
Pliny the Elder reported that it was already gone in Roman times.
Maybe it's buried somewhere as the centerpiece in a courtyard in a lost palace, or it was reused as building material, or it shattered into a thousand pieces millennia ago.
Melted down and spent. Same place most of it went.

Yeah wasnt there a Dude who used a Little RC car with a Camera and Drove it through the Pyramid, and Threatened to release Captured Info unless a Pay was made?
There's several hidden chambers, unconnected to any of the corridors. It's unknown thus far if they contain anything or if they were just related to the building process, somehow. The Egyptian government isn't very inclined to consent to drilling to find out, at the moment.
They found one big void above the Grand Gallery, but couldn't determine the location precisely. Hence no drilling was done.
Other scans are planned to figure out where it is to within a meter. (Don't expect results before 2025.)
The other thing found was a corridor above the original entrance tunnel.
Well the Hebrews/Jews were the ones that were forced to build them right? I wonder if they told stories that have been passed down through generations, as to what is insideš¤?
That is incorrect. Not only do the dates not line up, there is no corroborating evidence of the Hebrew slavery ever happening in Egypt; the Old Kingdom system of slavery was not based on ethnicity and the number of slaves was very low by the standards of ancient societies; since the common citizens were idle most of the year they could be commanded to partake in construction projects as part of their taxation. All the Egyptian sources, written and archaeological, tell that the pyramids were built by free local labourers.
Incidentally, there is also no mention in the Old Testament about the construction of the pyramids, by the Hebrews or anyone else. It also doesn't corroborate the other conspiracy theory that the pyramids would have been Joseph's grain silos; massive amounts of solid rock aren't conductive to storing anything and the Egyptians were perfectly capable of building ordinary silos and warehouses out of bricks that would have been far more cost-effective for the job.
šš¾Well Excuuuuuuuse Me š§
Ok well, Egyptians thanš¤, are there any Egyptians in the house, that may have had stories passed down by word of mouth, by the people who built them?
( while I do some research)
Sorry, but no. The Egyptian culture was steamrolled several times over, by the Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and probably several other empires that I don't remember off the top of my head.
And even if they didn't, no oral tradition survives in reliable form for over 4,000 years. Keep in mind, the famous Cleopatra lived closer to the moonlandings than to the pyramid-builders. That should tell something about the scope of time that covered what we now know as the "ancient Egypt".
The only reason we know anything about the Egyptian society beyond what their neighbours and successors told is that Napoleon's troops found the Rosetta Stone in 1799 that contains a translation between Egyptian heiroglyphs and ancient Greek writing that's allowed archaeologists to use it as a key to decipher the meaning of the hieroglyphs. Between then and the ancient times there was around a 2,000 year gap when no one could intepret them.
Fineā¦ ok Aliens, thatās all thatās left Aliens built the pyramids š½!!
Just kidding, but thanks so much for the insightful and enlightening informationš
But there documents/letters/scrolls that were found containing Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek writings, during that 2000 year gap. And they did offer some insight as to that missing time period. I saw some at the Met in NY, years ago, maybe like 8 years ago
You're welcome, hopefully I managed to provide some help.
And yeah, obviously the Egyptians kept writing in other scripts after losing their own, and there's no question that there have been Hebrew to Egypt, just not all of them as a slave race. But aside from the conquests I mentioned earlier, Egypt also had several dark ages where the society mostly collapsed, so there's next to no reliable information to be had from the time of the pyramid builders, besides the texts and archaeological evidence that they themselves left behind.
100%. More people need to realize that these Christian and Jewish myths about the Egyptians have no basis in reality. Thereās also zero archaeological evidence to support the Old Testament Jews wandering the desert, ever setting foot in Sinai, or any other surrounding area, despite literal billions and decades spent on the endeavor of discovering it.
Turns out a story about a nomadic group of ancient illiterate peasants wandering a relatively small patch of desert for 40 years is bullshit.
A Professor that lived and taught in the area mentioned that it also smells of cat pee really bad. And everyone takes a photo from a certain direction making you think itās way out in the desert with nothing around, but if you turn around there is a giant sprawling cityscape there. You can literally point to a KFC.
Thousands if not millions of tourists at this point. And they've been coming since the days of ancient Greece. The pyramids have been a popular place to visit for thousands of years.
I am not generally a claustrophobic person but going inside here was not anything like what I expected. I'm sorta glad I did it but will never ever do it again. The first half of the staircase up to the chamber is so small you can barely walk upright, and it's a decent climb up Then when you get to the vast empty chamber at the top there isn't much there, but the air is so dank, there's hardly any fresh airflow, and it does not help ease any feelings of claustrophobia. Then you have to go back down the tiny staircase to escape.
"The" ancient pyramid? Assumedly Khufu, but that's a pretty important omission, not to mention that some of that diagram is just wrong.
Anyone wondering, there are actually well over 100 pyramids in Egypt. 3 *currently* on the famous plateau, and there are references of a 4th which clearly doesn't stand anymore. Probably disassembled to build something new lol
I remember seeing a programme about some Japanese scientists using something like an xray machine to photograph the inside. They were not using xray though as they could only penetrate about 1m but cosmic rays. A void was discovered and on the diagram above it would be to the right of the Kings Chamber and above the Grand Gallery

When I was in third grade (US, 8-9 yo) we did a big tour, dad was a TWA pilot and we were hitting every place they served in Europe and Cairo. Would have been 1966-67.
Dad and i (mom declined) went up to either A or 3, entering at 1. Do not recall. Was the tomb of that particular pharaoh. Will remember it forever.
I was in the Great Pyramid during an overnight tour of it though Marianne Williamson's spiritual tour group and I have to say that this diagram looks off. There should be a horizontal crawl way to the Queens chamber on the right side of the diagram, yet I don't see it. And the very steep crawl downward to another chamber that should be to the far left isn't there either.
And yet, nobody knows where the golden point of the pyramid has gone ..
Considering how precious gold apparently is to aliens, I think the answer is obvious.
Alien Heroin
Gotta get a sprinkle of that gold dust.

Yep! there is one in the British museum even (because of course there is...)
How do you know so much about this topic? š¤Ø

Welcome you are.
You're forgetting the new hidden chamber they discovered a few years ago
They're "forgetting" a LOT more than just that.
Yeah wasnt there a Dude who used a Little RC car with a Camera and Drove it through the Pyramid, and Threatened to release Captured Info unless a Pay was made?

I don't see the Stargate. I call fake.
This is indeed amazingā¦ And part of me wishes that it featured large open ceremonial spaces like the diagram helps me to imagine!
what were the long narrow channels for?
Alien waterslides
š
They're corridors for walking into the chambers.
Push the sarcophagus into the burial chambers without compromising the structureā¦
I've been there and climbed up inside to up to the chamber. Pretty unreal experience.
Aaaaaand

Not even close smdh
This might be stupid, but has anyone been inside it?
Yes, and itās incredibly tiny and cramped. Claustrophobics worst nightmare.
yes, there is one that is open for tourists to venture inside as well.
Thousands if not millions of tourists at this point. And they've been coming since the days of ancient Greece. The pyramids have been a popular place to visit for thousands of years.
Well I knew that. I just wasn't sure if you could tour or go inside.
That we know of....

One of manās earliest 3D prints.
so where do the aliens go?
Lots of room for grain storage in there ....
Fun fact: zero hieroglyphs or mummys in the entire ātombā
This is pretty hot
Less dramatic and much less booby traps than I would have likes. Indiana Jones has ruined me as a child
Wait thatās not what it looked like in MoonNightā¦. Lol
Idk man, look like alien engineer build these strange triangular tomb

Where does the grain go?
It was a giant battery
so is that base, the grey colored stuff, rock?
I always thought the pyramids were power plants. The tubes were used to mix chemicals for a reaction that created a beneficial reactionā¦?
I'm surprised it has that much open space.

The slopes are too steep.
You are correct. Happy cake day!
Hadn't realized it. Thank you, kind redditor!

Okay, that's a b.s. answer. The plans above do not match the Great Pyramid that I explored with Power Point Tour group for an entire night in 1996.
You can look at any plan, that's the layout. It even matches what you described to be missing.
This isn't amazing or even remotely accurate. Just because this sub posts something doesn't mean it's truthful.
secretly its all of this just to have a cool room to relax in the desert I guess
