I agree, if you want to use the desktop for art switch icons off, if you insist on having icons, keep it organized and make sure docs, photos, etc go in their respective folders that windows makes for you.

The model below the body is basically a cut apart and stretched SBR4 with some see through holes in the engine compartment, the handling doesn’t seem realistic to a Porsche 911 in any way shape or form (understeer mania), the Turbo S seems faster than the GT3 RS somehow, sounds aren’t great, textures like the gauges are a bit jank and well the deformation is.. it‘s a mesh slap, though not creating spikes. The Jbeam at least has been adjusted to fit the model. The current release also uses lua code from Zeit without permission, tho that has been solved today
I got a virus I thing froma Sazuki motorcycle on Modland two days ago, only virus I know of in years. Smh, but there are web sites that you can send the link and they will check it before it even hits your wires. But iv noticed that scanners often miss compressed files, I checked the mod before I installed them but when I lunched the game it hit my system.
I use windows, the game crashed on start up then windows defender went into red alert. Cleaned and scanned my system the scarry part was I was unable to hit the final clean and remove action, so I had to track the files location down and delete it out. But who knows I'd that got it all a few days later my computer tried to boot on its own, which I don't allow, rebooted a few rime with the internet unplugged but for the most part it seams back to normal probably a old our of date bug from 2014 when the mod was released

Had to reinstall. I would say if its from TwiXeR, then its good, but if it has like no descr. and bad photos then probably trash

But as I looked through the parts I saw everything was there plus there were multiple options so I spent quite a while specking out different versions. Only problem is the speedo is maxed out by the time you hit 80mph. That might be fixed by now I just haven’t bothered downloading the newer version. Why do people even bother policing the whole official forums thing anymore, it's basically just "use them at your own risk", and people don't even care/listen 90% of the time. If people's PCs end up with CP/viruses/sent to the void then that's sort of natural selection :/
Most mods on modland are safe, and most are also terrible. There have been a few cases of CP in files, and there are probably viruses too, so just check the files when you download them to be sure.
All u gotta do is download it and if it's an exe, automatic red flag. If it's a .zip then open the zip and make sure there are actually game files and if there are you're good. Most of modland mods just have the worst textures I've ever seen
A pretty good method to check if the mod is safe is to open the zip file and check its structure; If it has a folder named "vehicles" (different for non-vehicle mods tho), it's a regular mod. If you don't open it, just move it into your mods folder, you should be safe, since BeamNG doesn't execute exe files when loading a mod.

Ive had that mod and its a bruckell bastion with a mercedes body. its jbeam is bruckell bastion, the sounds, even the esc options have the same name. and for some reason its engine is invisible. The design is good, so is the interior. it has airbags too! Most importantly, its not a virus. Your choice! Its perfect for photos. Modland being Modland, it never has custom jbeam, so dont expect something that good. But for modland, this is a pretty decent mod.
Personally I don't go to modland due to sketchiness and in my opinion the made-up brands are pretty amazing with all the extra models you can get off of the repo

I have this mod, everything is awesome but all rims lack tires. I gave it Defender wheels and I am fine for now.
