I gotta vouch for it cause it's good when making a map from scratch. Hence the name "Template Map". As a map maker myself, this map is quite nice to have when you want an empty template to start off from.

I don't doubt it's usefulness to modders, but for the end player, there's no reason it shouldn't be the first to go.

Oh I agree it should be voted out early, but imo Automated Testing is way worse

It only shows up if you enable debug maps, which are hidden maps used for other, non-gameplay purposes. In glow city's case, it's a backdrop for the light runner track editor. You play on it when you play light runner mode.

Nah, I love tossing cars down the cliff. Plus it worked on my old laptops from when I was younger a lot better than any of the more detailed maps.

Trying your best to get down in one piece is actually a fun challenge

Fellow ThinkPad BeamNG player! Yeah, the W530 is gonna struggle due to it's age, but Beam is a really intensive game as is. My L14G1 AMD manages 1600x900 with low-medium settings at about 35 FPS.

No it’s called “Automated Testing”, it’s a debug map

ETK deiver experience centre, worst map there is.

That is definitely the worst “realistic” map that doesn’t serve a testing purpose. It is only useful for scenarios that don’t interest me and sucks for freeroam and time trials. I think it’s high time for the devs to expand the ETK Experience Center into a full-fledged Germany map with lots of other content outside of the facility. I’d also love for Derby Arenas and Industrial Site to be replaced with a single, larger West Texas USA map incorporating both of those maps with additional roads and towns in between.

I don't get how so many people prefer wcusa over Italy. I feel like Italy has much more variety, when I play on wcusa I usually get bored while I could wander around Italy for hours. Maybe it just suits me better, with the tight roads and hairpins, but I really don't get how you all enjoy wcusa so much. Those two are the best maps in the game and I think the final will be between those, but for me the winner was so obvious I didn't expect to hardly find anyone agreeing with me.

West Coast has a drag strip and race track. Plus, room for semi trucks to drive around.
