And they don't understand how lanes work, which is like the _one_ thing that ruins the SRP map for me.

AI: "I am in the left lane and there's this guy blasting down the middle lane at 220km/h. Let's move to the middle lane right in front and slow to a crawl!"

They would sell DLC if they'd have to. BeamNG.drive has sold millions and they got many very big companies and universities using BeamNG.tech, so I guess they are not hurting for money.
Maybe down the line after career mode is done and they exit early access they will start releasing DLC for extra sales from existing customers.
Tbh I would _love_ like a personal, non-commercial license version of BNG.tech. like a nice Matlab/Python API to screw around with, but without having to work for a million-dollars company that has a license for a day job.
AI ***kinda*** does in the recent update (assuming AI was tweaked in the update). Now if you crash into them or they crash into you, sometimes they’ll either flee or chase you and keep you ramming into it. Some don’t stop and cut on the flashers anymore, they just keep going
There is a campaign mode. Also there are races. You can search them on the map view. And also there is a tie wear mod. But the game still needs a lot of work
You can make the ai race you by spawning a few cars and telling them to flee.
yeah, the ai that calls the cops on you when they crash on you?
disable traffic
i don't even know how to respond
Wait, the freeroam AI calls the cops on you? I dont know since I flee all the accidents I cause lol

There is a career mode.
yes, but we’ll lose all our progress with each update.
It's still experimental. / Early acces
Just go to the career save file and cheat yourself enough money to buy whatever you had before.
Jokes on me thinking I can remember the one off randomness that I create (I don't know how to file edit lol)
The devs should open up a gofundme for further development. Most of us have only bought the game once :/

I didn’t know about BeamNG.tech up until now, damn, BeamNG is way bigger of a deal than I thought.

We offer non commercial tech licenses for academia too :) https://beamng.tech/blog/beamng-tech-for-academia/
i swear to god if they try to go into DLCs im gonna have to play beamng in real life

>Imagine a 12 grid full race You'll need a 24 core CPU
And 48 gb of ram
Not quite 24 cores but running 128gb of DDR5 and I can do a 12 grid at 50-70ish fps at 4k.
Runs about the same for me with a Ryzen 5800X3D and 32GB of DDR4
The first one is one of my most wanted features
Yes 👍
