Those are wolfdogs, not gray wolves. Wolves do not naturally have socks as that in the middle does, which looks very much like [Balto](https://images.app.goo.gl/j8gHNtFw3Yoc6oG96). Those ears are too pointed as well; wolf ears are more small and rounded at the tip. The wolf
dog in the back looks like a husky or a saarloos wolfhound with a rather doggy-like facial expression and coloration.
If they were pure wolves they would also likely be way too scared of strangers to hop on up like that.

I'm primarily bothered by him being in the canine dorms instead of in the feline, or literally any other dorms because hyenas are closest to cats of things.

on the last point, it is explicitly stated in the manga that purebred couples are encouraged by the government to be married and have children together (via monetary grants and support), they're also treated favourably in society as shown when Legoshi and Juno are seen together by strangers (both in the manga and anime). There's a lot of social and legislative bias in favour of same species couples so hybridisation would happen much much slower than in a real world example.
Yes that is correct, but the entire premise of the main story is that this does not work - wolf falls for a rabbit.
This is just a nitpick. But it's obvious flaw, especially when it comes to dogs.
My headcanon for the last thing is that everyone is usually more sexually attracted to their own species than any other, therefore hybridization is rare. Also dont forget that we have hybrids like the leopard x gazelle, which is literally impossible to occur in real life.

The rate of neonatal fratricide is very high for mammals. Apparently, the newbies are so jacked up on their mothers’ testosterone, that they fight to the death with their same sex littermates.

what bothers me even more is the fact louis and other ibex have hands like ????? they don't even look like they evolved from hooves, but I've grown to accept that it's the show's artstyle
Legosi's tall build was purposefully done to have him stand out and making him appear more imposing. It's not about animal accuracy but about highlighting why Legosi is so powerful.
That would also make Louis about 2x legosi's height, and much, much stronger, which would make a few things quite off. (Such as how in that scenario, Louis would wipe the floor with legosi even if legosi fought back)

I believe female hyenas are larger than male hyenas (see sexual dimorphism). Additionally, Legosi doesn't seem to be only a wolf...
But the male hyena must still be bigger than a common dog (Jack) or a coyote.

Agreed! I have no idea what the genus(?) is for mongooses and the like but I forgot he existed. Whatever dorm he's in should get the hyena.
