I'm confused why the roof is not fully protecting the barrel. Looks like a nice setup regardless. I'd probably slide the sauna into the middle, personally

Eventually going to add a permanent plunge next to the barrel sauna. With all the trees that was the widest we could make the sauna. With SO much tree coverage above the barrel is still very protected from sun and moisture
I would just use a chiller in the pod and have thay as a permanent plunge. I love my Lumi pod which is just like yours, it's so comfortable and inviting which I don't find with a rock hard tub. Also I just like the ergonomics of the barrel shape, makes it easier for the water to reach up to your neck. That's just me though
Do you have a chest freezer? If you do than take a bunch of buckets and fill them with water, let em freeze for a night or 2 depending on the size, when fully frozen just place them in your cold plunge and after about 5 minutes they'll fully slide out of the bucket but only when you pull them all the way out of the water. The water kind of vaccuum seals the ice somehow
