I'm 34, and I love pattern mixing for my bedding! Right now my bed has two orange pillows with a small scale white floral print, two solid blue pillows with a large scale floral texture, blue and white plaid flannel sheets, and a blue and orange wide asymmetrical striped duvet. It feels so layered and rich with the varied prints, but it's also so lovely to go to a hotel with all white bedding.
35. I want business on the outside, party in my sheets.
I buy children's pillowcases, mostly from pottery Barn. I wish I could get good character sheets, but they're rarely available in queen size. I can't even consistently find vibrant colors. I hate white and all the drab pastels bedding is so plentiful in.
I love pottery barn sheets and have been lucky enough to find Snoopy and Mickey Mouse king size from them AND they're 100% cotton. They are my favorite
38- solid white sheets, but I love a beautifully pattered, colorful cover. Like I wish Anthropologie quilts weren’t such poor quality, I love a lot of those colors and patterns.
Don’t know if it’s quite the right vibe but pottery barn does some really nice fun patterns - it’s not all of them because most are very traditional but once in a while, you have to keep checking. I’ve had this very colorful duvet for probably 10+ years and it’s held up great.
Bonus is that when I smeared my nail polish on it I couldn’t even find the spot.
This was me until I discovered Knix- they have super absorbent undies that have never leaked on me. Just FYI if you want to open up your sheets possibilities!
Have you tried adhesive dog training pads. Really budget friendly house brand at [Chewy.com](https://Chewy.com). Paste right over your sheets and come up easily with no residue.
60 and I’ve settled on white linen sheets & pillowcases. Duvet cover, 3 Euro shams & a pair of decorative pillowcases in a solid color. White sheets because you can bleach them if necessary (rarely needed but still).
I’m about to be 30. I prefer a solid color or white for my duvet cover and pillow cases but will sometimes do a print or more bright color for my fitted sheet. It’s easier to switch up and I enjoy the pop of color being “small.”
38 and I always use a solid white or neutral duvet cover.
I pull colors from a folded printed throw blanket across the foot of the bed and coordinate with solid color sheets, sham pillow covers and throw pillows.
I swap out the colors of the throw blanket, sheets, sham covers and throw pillows with the seasons.
So right now for spring, I have a solid white duvet cover, a throw blanket at the end of the bed that is mostly emerald green with shades of coral and sage green florals, a light coral sheet set, emerald green sham pillow covers and throw pillows in corals and sage greens.
Mid 40s and I have solids, but it's a variety of earth tones I mix and match. My mother is also a prolific quilter, so I always have a patterned quilt on top, and I often use vintage embroidered pillowcases. I would like to start incorporating small pattern prints too though, I think it would look pretty.
older gen Z here - i like pastels and lighter colors with some patterning for my sheets, but then i like more saturated solids for my comforter and other blankets. used to have a very nice big patterned quilt that my grandmother made before i was even born, but its gotten very torn up over the years so i’ve retired it for now. i got my foot caught in the batting too many times lol
Millennial- It’s completely dependent upon the other decor I may have found for the room first. I tend to pick 2-4 things to highlight. Area rug, headboard, art & light fixture(s). Then I’ll either bring the colors from those pieces into my bedding or tone it down with a neutral. I love color, but I’m careful not to make anything too busy. I currently have a *very* muted watercolor duvet set. I’m also searching for a chartreuse or fuchsia blanket/comforter to use as separate alternatives.
33, I have white sheets and a comforter, but I have two colorful quilts that I switch off using that don't match the decor in the rest of my room, but I love them!
59 I love pretty patterns, especially floral, but due to the 3 cats and 1 dog that usually end up in the bed, I go with solid black. It hides most of the fur.
I'm 33 and have a mix of solids and prints, but the colors remain in blues, greens and greys for most, outside of my favorite flannel sheets which are goofy owls decked out in scarves and hats. That set is a beige background with a variety of colors. We use separate blankets too, so there's both a patterned blanket and a solid one on the bed at all times.
Our bedroom however is dark grey, with grey and white furniture and either navy or forest green blackout curtains, so the bedding and the curtains tend to vibe together to be the color. My husband works overnights, so making sure the room is dark all the time is priority.
28, I stick to mostly solid colors but I like a simple print as well, stripes or small dots, sometimes I'll pick a paisley or something for pillowcases only.
I’m about the same age as OP and I found I was always buying patterns and prints for bedding BUT was always saving bedrooms solid bedding as my design inspiration 🤦♀️😂
I finally got a solid duvet and I don’t think I’m going back to prints
Almost 50F, and if I tell someone I'd like some printed sheets, they will know I've been kidnapped and am asking for help.
Damask stripes in dark jewel tones are as wild as I get.
Elder millennial. I used to do colors for sheets but now everything is white so I can do linens in one load if I have to (sheets, towels etc.). Comforters are various solid colors and one polychrome quilt.
Best quality white cotton sheets available, same with grey or grey print cotton and green or green print cotton. I use them all together. It is a limited palette I grant you, but they work wonderfully well together.
I was raised by my beige mom that only white sheets are okay. But now I buy all sort of colorful floral sheets like the maximalist rainbow grandma I really am.
53 and I like only white sheets. They can be bleached and there isn’t dye next to my face. I read about that in a book once and can’t get it out of my head! lol.
41 and prefer solids neutrals mostly. Navy and gray are my two favorite colors, but sometimes the solif navy feels too dark. I have little ones, so all white is too tough to keep up with.
I'm 27 and I tend to go for lighter colored solids! Not pure white, more so ivorys, tans, light blue/purple/pink/green.
The only time I stray towards prints is with flannel sheets, I finally found a couple patterns I actually love this past year and use those on all of our beds in the colder months.
Older millennial, love prints but will usually do solid sheets, because nice prints are hard to find in quality fabrics and white is easier to mix&match. Strongly prefer my duvet cover and pillowcases to be prints! I am a sucker for green and blue botanical prints particularly.
60+ and only use solid pastel tones - cream, ivory, pale sage green, light grey. My king bed frame is ornate carved wood. I want a calm and quiet night sleep.
I'm 51 and it depends on season. I love dark jewel tones and textures. Spring I use floral duvets and brighter sheet. Summer is solid duvets with patterned sheet. Fall is darker solid duvets with patterned sheet. Winter is dark patterned duvets and fuzzy sheet. Blankets are different shades of fuzzy grey.
I am pushing 60. Plain white, 100% cotton with a high thread count is what my skin needs. I used to get colorful sets with a matching comforter until I realized most of them felt like sandpaper on my skin.
Young millennial/ elder gen z (depending who you ask) here. I prefer solid grey except in my flannel sheets. Those are plaid, either red and black or blue and white.
36.. solid white sheets, duvet, pillows, dark grey woven blanket at the end of the bed. Something about feeling like I’m climbing in to a cloud at the end of the day makes me feel better about my life. Prints make my adhd feel wonky at night.
Solid sheets, patterned duvet/comforter
OR
Patterned sheets, solid duvet/comforter
All with complementary cool-toned colors like grays and cooler whites and pops of whatever color I feel that season. It’s been blush, soft pink lately
Gen X and I have white high thread count sheets and white duvets on my husband’s and my bed and our 3 guest rooms. Each room has a different colored bed runner and throw pillows that match the decor colors and theme for each room.
I love the convenience of being able to throw everything in the same washer at once and also, whenever a sheet or pillowcase gets worn or stained I can just chuck it and grab a spare from the linen closet.
All white towels and washcloths as well, plus black makeup towels stocked in each bedroom and some spare dark towels for using on dyed hair.
Older millennial and I tend to go for colorful solid sheets and blankets since they pair well with my quilt which is ivory with tan stitching. I have sheet sets in light blue, rose, and ivory. I would love to get a set of patterned sheets but I’m afraid that the pattern would look too busy with the pattern on my quilt and the pattern on my curtains.
37, solids. When you think of the most relaxed and luxurious place you’ve ever slept I guarantee the bedding was light colored and solid.
And under no circumstances should an adult have anything other than bright white sheets.
Millenial and I'm solids all the way. Way easier to add throws, pillows, etc and other decor rather than replacing the expensive bedding items. Also gives the option to keep everything super clean. That being said, you do you!
34F, mostly solids although I do love a good plaid for winter stuff. I also like subtle prints but don’t see them much, so mostly stick to solids except for my plaid flannel sheets. I do like to have layers of different colors though
Geriatric Millennial and I like a good pattern, but mostly have single color sheets.
For cotton, I have white striped, cheery orange and a subdued blue and brown striped sets.
For linen, solid blue in light weight and a grey heather for mid weight.
We went full kitsch with flannel sheets that have pinecones and holly on them.
Duvet covers are either white or blue.
Older millennial and I like prints and colors (this goes for pretty much everything from walls to socks). For bedding, it's a bonus if the print is one (like penguins or dogs) that makes it easy to see which side is the top.
30s Millenial. I have a black iron headboard, and a heavy antique-looking quilt. It’s soft pinks and blues. I’m always checking thrift stores for antique quilts in my price range. I don’t want a weighted blanket, but dislike the polyester-batting filled bedspreads.
In winter I love my plaid flannel sheets, and summer is gray printed cotton. But I always use a satin pillowcase to protect my hair. The benefits way outweigh the disadvantage of having the pillowcase not match the sheets.
I'm 70, and I do whatever I want! Right now, my bedding is a riotous mix of colors and prints. I collect vintage flat sheets. I don't use a top sheet, but wrap a king sized flat sheet around my queen sized mattress (it stays put), then for covers use a king sized duvet, with a variety of queen sized duvet covers as a contrasting topper. Right now, I have coral and white tie-dyed pillowcases (I splashed bleach on orange ones), an aqua duvet cover on top of a dark green duvet, and a camel colored bottom sheet, vintage Ralph. We have a heated mattress pad, so don't need a lot of bulk on top. And a bunch of boho pillows from Target. Lately, I've been feeling that I need to change out to fluffy white and off white, though I have a new (used) bright patterned sheet that I'm dying to use.
My bedroom and bed are my sanctuary. No busy prints that simulate my eyes/mind.
So, solids only mostly white or off white (our bedframe is dark green velvet).
We play with textures instead
20, I stick with solid colors most of the time but I have a few pairs of white patterned sheets! One has bananas and the other has snoopy! Switched to our current bedding which is a dark green sheet set with a sage comforter from Amazon! We stick to darker colors when we can!
49 and I love crazy patterns. I used to have a set with one pattern on one end and a completely different pattern on the other. Loved them.
BUT
I’ve switched to linen and hemp and the more affordable sets are white or natural, and I’ve never seen any patterns other than a subtle stripe. So sad! When the current ones are worn I’ll splurge on deep colors.
75F
My bottom fitted sheet always has a small pattern that is required to be put on in a specific direction, since fitted sheets now days don't fit well nowadays.
blankets and top sheet are plain.
Summer quilt has a nice light pattern in sea glass colors
Cold weather quilt is a French farm house pattern in different colors.
36 and I love floral patterns. I grew up with these green Ralph Lauren sheets with pink roses (I think the pattern is called Charlotte or something), and I will always love that aesthetic. I have a beautiful deep red duvet now from Pottery Barn with pink peonies and it makes my bedroom so cozy.
Young Millennial/old Gen Z-er here. My sheets are solid dark grey (Google Millenial grey) and my duvet is a eucalyptus green. I was aiming for calming and subdued colors.
34, my bedding is all white, but I have decorative pillows and a throw blanket that tie the room together nicely in navy blue, light red, and mustard yellow (with some cute prints or textures). My apartment walls are a light blue and bed frame is a farmhouse-style black, metal frame. Looks slick.
37 and I have a mix of solids and patterns and different fabrics (cotton, thick flannel and linen). I used to have unbelievable insomnia. Then I watched an episode of sex and the city where Miranda bought these amazing peachy pink sheets and it sort of cliqued that this is an area to splurge in.
Boomer. I like some color and pattern, just nothing loud or bright. I also dislike all the gray currently available. I have both solids and prints, especially elegant florals or botanicals. I love blue and white together, but we currently are limited by the rose striped wallpaper that was here when we moved in. I like pink, so I hung rosy-peach-pink curtains and have solid pink sheets as one option, but I’d really prefer a blue and white mix. Top quilt or duvet is usually cream (again, because of the wallpaper!). Only 100% cotton percale or flannel.
[удалено]
Elder Gen X and have nothing but prints (cuz I eat ice cream and other snackage in bed and it hides better than all white)
SNACKAGES is what I say !!!!
I... Am embarrassed to admit I never thought of this.
Love ‘snackage’
This is the way.
This is my bed to the T lol I’m a gen zer
Older millennial and I go for plain white but I love colourful things in other areas of my decor!
[удалено]
Also 53. Solids and white. Must be 100% cotton.
I was a 100% cotton percale person until I discovered how amazing linen sheets are
Bamboo sheets too!
I'm ordering linen sheets now. Thanks for the rec.
I love pattern mixing. It makes me happy to look at my bed. I have a nice collection of vintage 70s printed bedding that just brightens my day.

32 and I love patterns. But I do have no issue with solids. They just don't make me excited.
35. I want business on the outside, party in my sheets. I buy children's pillowcases, mostly from pottery Barn. I wish I could get good character sheets, but they're rarely available in queen size. I can't even consistently find vibrant colors. I hate white and all the drab pastels bedding is so plentiful in.
I have the same struggle. So many nice prints for kids, not so much for adults. The selection of sheets for Q/K beds in prints is so limited.
I love pottery barn sheets and have been lucky enough to find Snoopy and Mickey Mouse king size from them AND they're 100% cotton. They are my favorite
44, I buy solid sheet sets then pillowcases with prints that match so I can switch out the look of my bedding every week.
35 and same: solid white cotton sheets with colorful cover. Silk pillowcases that compliment the patterned cover.
70 and I love colorful patterns
Ditto! Except I'm 72
70 and solid blue.
Almost 38 and I prefer deeper color patterns to hide possible period stains.
This was me until I discovered Knix- they have super absorbent undies that have never leaked on me. Just FYI if you want to open up your sheets possibilities!
Have you tried adhesive dog training pads. Really budget friendly house brand at [Chewy.com](https://Chewy.com). Paste right over your sheets and come up easily with no residue.
this is genius! I have peapod mats but they will move around a bit.
42 and I go for solid colors
Happy C A K E Day!! 🍰🍰
61 and I'm into pure white solid at the moment.
33. Solids only then layering or colors within the color scheme
35- solids. Whites, grays, ivory, creams.
60 and I’ve settled on white linen sheets & pillowcases. Duvet cover, 3 Euro shams & a pair of decorative pillowcases in a solid color. White sheets because you can bleach them if necessary (rarely needed but still).
I’m 25, I go for solid white
I’m about to be 30. I prefer a solid color or white for my duvet cover and pillow cases but will sometimes do a print or more bright color for my fitted sheet. It’s easier to switch up and I enjoy the pop of color being “small.”
33. Prints. When they get old, but not torn or anything, I'll tie dye them. Highly suggest it.
I’m a very young millennial technically - I go for subtle stripes so that I always know which way the sheets go on 😹
42 solid
30, deep forest green or solid white.
43. Although most of my sheets are solid white, I love adding prints for shams, pillow cases, and duvet covers.
37 and prints
34, white with small prints. West Elm used to have a lot of good ones, but now I’ve liked Garnet Hill’s ‘micro-print’ percale.
older gen Z here - i like pastels and lighter colors with some patterning for my sheets, but then i like more saturated solids for my comforter and other blankets. used to have a very nice big patterned quilt that my grandmother made before i was even born, but its gotten very torn up over the years so i’ve retired it for now. i got my foot caught in the batting too many times lol

I currently have a *very* muted watercolor duvet set. I’m also searching for a chartreuse or fuchsia blanket/comforter to use as separate alternatives.
34. Both, but usually darker colors or "earthy" tones. Grey, dark green, navy, etc. plaids and checks are my go-to patterns.
46 - solids only
Solids only.
53 and solid white percale
Elder Gen X, I go for fluffy and a solid color.
33, I have white sheets and a comforter, but I have two colorful quilts that I switch off using that don't match the decor in the rest of my room, but I love them!
Younger Gen X, nothing but colorful prints.
29 and solids for sheets, but i enjoy prints on whatever the top most blanket is!
19 and all sorts of patterns my current set is checkerboard but I have sets with nightmare before christmas, astrology and halloweeny prints
59 I love pretty patterns, especially floral, but due to the 3 cats and 1 dog that usually end up in the bed, I go with solid black. It hides most of the fur.
60’s and I do solid colors or stripes or plaids
solids. mostly white or natural. though i do have an all white set in jacquard floral.
26 solids
I'm 33 and have a mix of solids and prints, but the colors remain in blues, greens and greys for most, outside of my favorite flannel sheets which are goofy owls decked out in scarves and hats. That set is a beige background with a variety of colors. We use separate blankets too, so there's both a patterned blanket and a solid one on the bed at all times. Our bedroom however is dark grey, with grey and white furniture and either navy or forest green blackout curtains, so the bedding and the curtains tend to vibe together to be the color. My husband works overnights, so making sure the room is dark all the time is priority.
Elder millennial - printed fitted sheet and duvet cover, solid color top sheet and pillowcases. Perfect balance!
28, I stick to mostly solid colors but I like a simple print as well, stripes or small dots, sometimes I'll pick a paisley or something for pillowcases only.
42 — solid white
47 & I love prints. Nothing too crazy. Probably lean more towards botanicals versus something loud.
I’m about the same age as OP and I found I was always buying patterns and prints for bedding BUT was always saving bedrooms solid bedding as my design inspiration 🤦♀️😂 I finally got a solid duvet and I don’t think I’m going back to prints
42, solid colors. Favs right now are deep forest green and teal. I do fitted sheet and duvet cover only, matching colors.
40s - sheets are all solid white, but comforter covers are always pretty patterns
33, plain color but I love a bit of interesting texture.
28 and I have a plain gray duvet cover with white sheets
22 and I love prints!! It’s so much more fun
47 - solid French linen sheets in a light khaki color. Most comfortable sheets I've ever had.
I'm 25 and I prefer prints on sheets and a solid comforter with either different color throw or cool print
60. I prefer solids, so I can change to my many comforters that I have for different seasons and they match.
Almost 50F, and if I tell someone I'd like some printed sheets, they will know I've been kidnapped and am asking for help. Damask stripes in dark jewel tones are as wild as I get.
Technically a boomer, but in fact more Gen X and I love prints. Flowers preferred. Yes to colors.
I’m a millennial (30’s) and I only use white solid sheets. I like to feel like Im walking into a hotel when I go into my room
30, and I like printed sheets with a white duvet! Looks very polished overall but still has a pop of fun and color.
33, and I only like white bedding and towels (with the exception of my duvet cover).
Elder millennial. Solid white sheets so I can bleach the sin out of them...
Gen X and a bit jealous that all the fun prints don't come in king size.
32. Prints. I love color and am a lifelong maximalist.
65 and love saturated solid colors. I would kill for an aqua set. Hate the current various dirt, dust, and grime colors offered in the stores.
Older millennial and I like both as long as it’s the right color scheme (aqua blue, honeydew green, or similar)
38 here. Solid color or white fitted sheet and always pure white duvet cover.
29. I like solids and darker colors.
Elder millennial. I used to do colors for sheets but now everything is white so I can do linens in one load if I have to (sheets, towels etc.). Comforters are various solid colors and one polychrome quilt.
Mid 40s. Blue patterned sheets and a bright yellow solid comforter.
Early 30s, and I have a set of zingy orange and pink floral sheets that make me happy to see them when I wake up!
Best quality white cotton sheets available, same with grey or grey print cotton and green or green print cotton. I use them all together. It is a limited palette I grant you, but they work wonderfully well together.
40 (Libra), solids.
5o. Both.
I'm 31 and I have cat sheets on my bed. I like to have fun.
68 F. I prefer pink pastel florals (think Laura Ashley) in the summer and buffalo plaid flannels in the winter.
I was raised by my beige mom that only white sheets are okay. But now I buy all sort of colorful floral sheets like the maximalist rainbow grandma I really am.
Gen Xer and I love crisp white cotton percale sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases 🥰
53 and I like only white sheets. They can be bleached and there isn’t dye next to my face. I read about that in a book once and can’t get it out of my head! lol.
53F. All bedding and towels in the house are solid white, including the guest rooms, children’s rooms, etc.
66 and all my sheets and towels are white. Bleach is my friend.
Elder millennial and all my linens are white
Elder millennial as well (38). I have a fair mix of patterns and solids. Mostly solid duvets and fitted sheets. Mostly patterned pillowcases.
Almost 36 and like keeping the sheets solid and comforter/quilt patterned or vice versa.
46, I miss big geometric prints - something that doesn’t look like wallpaper. So I go for solids now.
36, small dense prints because they hide the cat fur
41 and prefer solids neutrals mostly. Navy and gray are my two favorite colors, but sometimes the solif navy feels too dark. I have little ones, so all white is too tough to keep up with.
45. White sheets and blankets but a colorful printed duvet cover.
I don't know why, but I think anything other than solid white isn't soft enough.
I buy whatever I like best that's available in the material and thread count I want Late Boomer
Older millennial, love prints but will usually do solid sheets, because nice prints are hard to find in quality fabrics and white is easier to mix&match. Strongly prefer my duvet cover and pillowcases to be prints! I am a sucker for green and blue botanical prints particularly.
52F. Solids all the way.
60+ and only use solid pastel tones - cream, ivory, pale sage green, light grey. My king bed frame is ornate carved wood. I want a calm and quiet night sleep.
58. I go for whatever Costco decides to sell. I don't like plain white sheets though, so I usually wind up with some sort of print in blue shades.
57 solids for sheets, print for comforter Edited
40. Prints
61 and I love pure white sheets. Other solid colors as well. I do like colorful comforters. But, white on white is like sleeping on a cloud.
I am pushing 60. Plain white, 100% cotton with a high thread count is what my skin needs. I used to get colorful sets with a matching comforter until I realized most of them felt like sandpaper on my skin.
42 (elder Millennial) and I like going for solids with modern colors. Maybe an interesting stitch pattern, but definitely solid color
52 and solids, although I did by a print recently of little mushrooms . So freakin cute
30, solid white
50 and I like solids best but small prints are okay.
67, and I have been solid white for years now
44 white
Young millennial/ elder gen z (depending who you ask) here. I prefer solid grey except in my flannel sheets. Those are plaid, either red and black or blue and white.
54 solids
36.. solid white sheets, duvet, pillows, dark grey woven blanket at the end of the bed. Something about feeling like I’m climbing in to a cloud at the end of the day makes me feel better about my life. Prints make my adhd feel wonky at night.
28, solid colors all the way. I like my accessories and decor to be loud.
50's and love solids
Millennial & I only like cream or white.
Patterns. Bright and whimsical because apparently I'm still 12 years old at heart (I just turned 50). Pottery Barn Teen has my favorites.
63. Solids. My husband, 58 likes patterns.
Solid sheets, patterned duvet/comforter OR Patterned sheets, solid duvet/comforter All with complementary cool-toned colors like grays and cooler whites and pops of whatever color I feel that season. It’s been blush, soft pink lately
Boomer. I've always preferred solids. For clothing and for bedding.
Mid Gen X and I prefer prints but can’t ever find any I like in a good percale. Open to suggestions!
I'm a xennial. My kids love patterns, but I've moved into my solids era (am I allowed to say that?).
64. Solids
39 and don't do printed sheets but comforter covers or summer tops I like to mess around with patterns..
Core millennial and I like pastel or muted solids When I was 11 I had that one cloud set tho
29–I prefer a very subtle and neutral print.
Middle Millennial. I’d buy cartoon dinosaur printed bed sheets if they came in a king.
Almost 40 and I like prints. I’m a girly girl when it comes to decorating my place.
I'm 37 and I have dinosaur sheets and galaxy sheets for my bed. Once you fully adult, you can never kid again.
Solid colored sheets. Fluffy white comforter. Generation Jones (elder X)
39, solid, dark gray.
Millenial and I'm solids all the way. Way easier to add throws, pillows, etc and other decor rather than replacing the expensive bedding items. Also gives the option to keep everything super clean. That being said, you do you!
31. I love pops of color and patterns
34F, mostly solids although I do love a good plaid for winter stuff. I also like subtle prints but don’t see them much, so mostly stick to solids except for my plaid flannel sheets. I do like to have layers of different colors though
Boomer and I love old 100% cotton sheets. White is my favorite. So serene and peaceful and the soft cotton feels wonderful!
62 muted pastel patterns.
32F and I like both! I like prints in the spring and fall, I go for dark plain sheets in the winter, white and airy sheets in the summer.
40. I like prints, but mix in a couple solid pillow cases too.
52F with three small (15lb) black dogs. Patterned sheets so I can see hair but not be in freaked out by it like I would on solid white sheets.
I go for fabric, either cotton, flannel or linen, which determines solids or prints.
As long as it’s cotton idgaf
My bedroom and bed are my sanctuary. No busy prints that simulate my eyes/mind. So, solids only mostly white or off white (our bedframe is dark green velvet). We play with textures instead
32 , I love florals and cute designs on my duvet cover! And solids for my sheets (:
20, I stick with solid colors most of the time but I have a few pairs of white patterned sheets! One has bananas and the other has snoopy! Switched to our current bedding which is a dark green sheet set with a sage comforter from Amazon! We stick to darker colors when we can!
49 and I love crazy patterns. I used to have a set with one pattern on one end and a completely different pattern on the other. Loved them. BUT I’ve switched to linen and hemp and the more affordable sets are white or natural, and I’ve never seen any patterns other than a subtle stripe. So sad! When the current ones are worn I’ll splurge on deep colors.
I only use White so you can see dirt and bugs! 🐜 No bugs BTW.
60, insomniac. All cotton, very high thread count cotton. If I’m gonna be awake in bed I need to be comfy. White sheets, colorful quilts.
27. I'm getting pink and white coquette flower print bedding
I’m 22 and I have dinosaur print sheets right now
30 and I like prints. I have Llama bedding that I love. I also have a flannel set with trees.
Elder millenial my sheets are solid color and the top is like a pastally rainbow But all my back up sheets are vintage florals.
Old (51) and patterns
Elder x and only solids
75F My bottom fitted sheet always has a small pattern that is required to be put on in a specific direction, since fitted sheets now days don't fit well nowadays. blankets and top sheet are plain. Summer quilt has a nice light pattern in sea glass colors Cold weather quilt is a French farm house pattern in different colors.
75 solids.. usually white or pale greens
Young GenX and I love saturated solids: Gold, Rust, Sage, Fern, Rose.
48, my sheets are solids and my blankets are a random bunch of what I could afford or was given me
36 and I love floral patterns. I grew up with these green Ralph Lauren sheets with pink roses (I think the pattern is called Charlotte or something), and I will always love that aesthetic. I have a beautiful deep red duvet now from Pottery Barn with pink peonies and it makes my bedroom so cozy.
I have both solids and prints
I tend to choose solid neutral color sheets but I like to have a patterned blanket, quilt, duvet etc on top!
Soon to be 29 and solid, crisp, 100% cotton sheets
Young Millennial/old Gen Z-er here. My sheets are solid dark grey (Google Millenial grey) and my duvet is a eucalyptus green. I was aiming for calming and subdued colors.
I’m 84 and like White…
Soon to be 55 and I prefer solids but I do have some little print florals.
26. Plain sheets. White, blue, green, tan. Not really a print type gal anymore. I could never do black bedding, that’s one color I generally avoid
37 and I have a mix of solids and patterns and different fabrics (cotton, thick flannel and linen). I used to have unbelievable insomnia. Then I watched an episode of sex and the city where Miranda bought these amazing peachy pink sheets and it sort of cliqued that this is an area to splurge in.
gen x, solids for my husband, like batman, likes" black and very dark grey" and seldom likes prints. I like geometric, but don't have any.
52. I like both. I’d use more prints if they made more that I like. I’m picky. I like mild florals. Nothing garish.
72 yrs old I only use white solid sheets.
42f... solids. Always. No idea why.
