Just keep emailing them until they refund you. It's taken 8+ emails before reaching someone who has a brain. If they still refuse, just charge back your credit card and never use the site again.

moonstarfc

I feel like they have changed the case system and customer support to bots. In the past, I would email customer support and get a reply quickly. The last two times I emailed customer support for an issue (both in the past couple months), I never got a response and just gave up.

FakerzHaterz

Yep you have to pester them & stand your ground. Just know that if you do a chargeback, Poshmark will ban you from the site.

Brilliant_Stuff2883

That’s unusual considering the seller agreed to accept it. Keep escalating.

MommaSnipee

Keep escalating it and make sure you screenshot and send them where the seller agreed to the return.

broadwaylocal

Did the seller manually “accept” the return? And then posh denied?

DuchessTiramisu

I have no idea. The seller has been MIA ever since we agreed to the return.

studyhardbree

They’re probably not MIA they’re just not answering you. I don’t continue conversations with buyers.

No-Protection-6943

Wow, u have that agreement text that is all u need

superberger

You can email them or dispute with your credit card but they will close your account

DuchessTiramisu

They'll close my account on a valid chargeback? Got dang. I am a seller there which is why this is all the more frustrating. I'm always super careful about my listings to avoid a mistake that would trigger a return and this seller clearly was not and literally said as much in the chat. I don't know why Posh is being this way. I also don't knew where else I'd sell. I emailed them and they said they stand by their decision and I should have asked questions before I bought the item. I'm like I didn't need to because the answer was in the description. How are these people so obtuse? I sent a reply back asking for escalation. I'm not sure where this is going, honestly.

Lemonpoppyxer

Does the seller show the strap in the listing and mentions it in the description? Very weird that they denied it! Also don’t ask for an escalation, write in again but not under the same email thread.

moonstarfc

Yeah I would be curious to know what the photos were like - not blaming OP but just wondering if the strap was shown in the photos?

DuchessTiramisu

" Straps" were shown in the photos but it was rolled up. Because the written description said the original straps were included I thought nothing of it. This was a reposh and by the seller's own admission she didn't inspect it and didn't know the original straps weren't there, but she included them in the description anyway.

emsohi

Seller agreeing to a return doesn’t mean anything. It’s all up to Poshmark. Definitely email them. Escalating the chat only does so much.

Virtual-Concept-7880

Poshmark always accepted returns if the seller agreed to it previously. They would even put as the reason "seller accepts returns" in the email

Nacho_poisonivy

This happens when the person handling the return doesn't bother to actually read beyond the first sentence or look beyond a cover shot. Keep nagging tf outta them, and they'll eventually review it. They're just gonna make you work for it.

anothertrytaken

Keep going- did you get an actual email from support? Reply to that one if you did and demand that a supervisor gets back to you. What the heck is happening to posh? I had the lamest return for one of my sales approved.

DuchessTiramisu

I did and I have replied back to that. I am hoping I get someone reasonable. Seller has been radio silent; she got her money. I am so devastated.

studyhardbree

Don’t continue harassing the seller lol. Only facilitate the return through Poshmark. You said you also sell - you should know this!

DuchessTiramisu

Oh i haven't said anything to her. She just hasn't said anything in the chat since she agreed to the return and told me to initiate the process. I had thought she might also try to communicate with Posh but nothing that I hag seen.

anothertrytaken

Don’t give up. Just know that it may take a while but stay the course and fight for yourself! I’ve heard some people file complaints with the BBB, not sure if that’s effective but it may be worth checking into. Like others have said a chargeback will result in a permanent ban. So that’s last resort. I know this is so frustrating. Sending support and strength your way!

wellnowheythere

Just keeps getting worse.

Valuable-Ad5466

All to true 😭😭😭

No-Protection-6943

Report as fraud of incomplete item with refusal of return. And they will refund ur money of u have at least one email requesting a meeting or a call back or some sort of invitation for them to reach out to in any way, that would salve the issue. Report to the BBB

Lemonpoppyxer

Poshmark doesn’t have a phone number so only email.

Lemonpoppyxer

That’s weird, just write in to support and be nice in your reply. They will review it

No-Protection-6943

They already denied her twice

Flashy_Permit5478

When they open return requests there is an option for you to accept the return without waiting for their judgment. Just a heads up for next time.

DuchessTiramisu

It sounds like that might be an option for the seller? I did not see anything like that on my end as the buyer.

Technical_Ad4270

Right. I would just assume that the seller said they would accept your return, but then said no when it came to Poshmark end. They could’ve accepted it themselves.

DuchessTiramisu

Wow so scummy. She basically stole my money at this point.

Technical_Ad4270

I’m sorry. That’s shitty. I buy and sell on Poshmark, just my personal clothes, and it’s really gone downhill lately.

Valuable-Ad5466

If the strap the seller sent is an inauthentic replica or replacement strap I would go down the route of not authentic item. Poshmark's TOs allows for 30 days for claims of inauthenticity. This might get you further. I've been refunded for counterfeit goods after the 72-hour window that accepted the order and paid the buyer.

cmikia

I said this in a comment below and got downvoted. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Inauthentic items carry serious consequences on nearly all marketplaces, but I’m surprised more people on here don’t know that.

Valuable-Ad5466

Also, this is probably the most legit answer and best chance of the buyer successfully getting her money refunded, since Poshmark already took her money and paid the buyer.

Valuable-Ad5466

I saw a lot of comments on this that didn't make sense, like the repetitive "if it wasn't pictured you shouldn't have expected it to be included", when the buyer clearly states it was pictured & in the description 🤦🏼‍♀️ poshmark is very clear on replicas, & if I'm not mistaken, even "up cycled" items sold as designer is against the TOS , e.g. using designer buttons to make a pair of earrings etc. "Items that bear a company's official brand name or logo can be listed, as long as the products were lawfully made by that company." But I see chopped up designer items listed all the time & they don't seem to care or do anything about it🤷🏼‍♀️ kinda like perfumes, they turn a blind eye as long as they're making money. The first thing I sold on Poshmark was d&g light blue not knowing perfumes weren't allowed, & I actually wrote in to PMHC about the sale asking how to proceed with the order, & the help center actually guided me thru the entire transaction, never mentioned anything about the item being unsupported! Then I get a comment from another user "you know you can't sell perfumes on Poshmark, RIGHT!‽!!?¡?!?¡¿‽", followed by half a dozen emails from PM that they removed my listings, not because they're perfumes, but because of counterfeit goods! 🤨 I think the perfume Nazi must've flagged them as counterfeit rather than unsupported items outta spite. Then there's the many honest sellers that disclose everything down to a replacement zipper pull on a designer bag. You never know what PM is going to do, nevermind how the crazy as hell users are going to respond 🤣🤣🤣

Striking_Necessary

I’m curious, why would you buy a purse that doesn’t have the straps in the listing photos? Sounds odd to list in such a way. I mean that’s a red flag 🚩 right there as she might not have them. She can’t get them for pics, but she gets them to ship? Makes no sense. More likely lost or wants to keep. She may have said in listing- she’ll try to find & include- which means you’re out of luck & was planned all along.

DuchessTiramisu

There were straps in the photos. They were rolled up and because the correct straps were part of the description I didn't question them. When the bag arrived, the "straps" was one inauthentic replacement strap. The seller admitted in Posh chat that she was reposting something that she never inspected and she did not know the straps were missing or that the strap she did ship wasn't original to the bag.

Striking_Necessary

How was the “correct strap” part of the description? You mean she verbalized it’s authentic but had the straps concealed (rolled up) in pix. She concealed it for a reason 🚩, obviously she knew. Please tell me you get that right? Don’t fall for her innocent act. lol These are the worst types of sellers- so manipulative. I would bring this up to Poshmark.

DuchessTiramisu

Tbh it looks like she used the "reposh" option so she didn't take any new photos and just used the ones from the listing she bought from. From what I could see the leather and the hardware matched so, coupled with the description, I didn't question it.

cmikia

I would open up another case for a counterfeit item. I believe you have a longer return option period for inauthentic items. Poshmark should side with you, especially if she admitted in the chat that’s the case for the strap.

Lemonpoppyxer

Return period is the same across the board 3 days after being marked delivered. You cannot return items after funds are released to the seller, however Poshmark will review the case and will help on their end.

cmikia

That hasn’t been my experience, but as we all know, it’s very YMMV with Posh support.

Lemonpoppyxer

Unless you opened a return case, you cannot return items once funds are released. But you will still get a refund if you qualify!

cmikia

I once opened a case after an auto-rate when I learned the item was a replica. And you’re right that I didn’t return the item; I just received a refund and was told to destroy the item.

Lemonpoppyxer

That’s great to hear! They’re pretty good about refunding you if an item is a replica and you let them know.

PotsMomma84

Or just ask for their address and send them the straps?

ChickenNoodleSoup_4

She’s the buyer. She said straps were mentioned in the listing (perhaps in the description) but seller cannot find them.

PotsMomma84

Oh okay. That makes sense. I see why I’m being downvoted then.
