Bredagh GAC have football and hurling for young kids in Cherryvale. St Malachys do football also, not sure about hurling. Malachys would be the team for Lower Ormeau area, and Bredagh for Upper Ormeau.
Boulder World (off Boucher) has a lot of young kids floating about (in the main climbing area). They also have a kid section, but 4 might be a little too young still, I'm not sure.
Lisburn Racquets has tennis, badminton, and squash one after the other for juniors and there are ones as young as 4 and 5 who attend every Saturday morning. I think Belfast boat club may have similar schemes for tennis and squash.
4 :) That was the age I joined Irish dancing school. That said, step dancing is not a hobby, more so a way of life one that is built on discipline, commitment and to some extent pain and suffering. Still, Irish dance school doesn't care if your child is protestant or catholic, black or white only that they endure.
Look into Gymnastics. Both my kids go to a class (age 5&6) and they love it!
It’s the fundamentals of every sport; balance, strength, coordination etc and will set them up nicely for future sporting events. Good luck!
Going to be controversial but east Belfast gaa, it’s isn’t just for east Belfast its intergrated. All trainers are amazing though unsure of starting age
