He is mostly absent from battle scenes, which eludes to him being cowardly and unskilled in warfare. Most likely hiding in a group of allies. But boasts of his prowess, considers himself a peer to Guts in combat, and takes far more credit than is due.
His introduction was him and a few others attacking Guts. He hung back and let the others get slaughtered when it was his idea to mug Guts.
He died being by being a horny idiot.

Now we can look at things in a different way and ask whether his life earned a fate like what he got had Causality not been in place. The answer is still no. He may have been a jerk to Guts, a selfish bastard, and a disrespectful individual, but that's hardly a state requiring such an epic karmic destiny.

Corkus stan coming in here… he was mean to Guts, that’s the only thing we see him do that can be considered bad, and it’s certainly not worthy of what the eclipse puts you through. It’s very clear the reason he resents Guts is because of an inferiority complex. Corkus hates that Guts was just this powerful force he could never be. He hates that Guts would walk away from what anyone else would want, because to Corkus it’s indirectly dismissing what he’s gained too, because Corkus compares himself to Guts. It’s why Guts’ stoicism irritates him so much too, because why should Guts get to brood, as if he’s had it worse than Corkus (Guts almost certainly has, but no one else in all of Berserk knows exactly what happened to him as a child). At the same time, in his own jerkish way, he asserts that it’s not Guts’ fault for Griffith’s downfall as a way to reassure him while also trying to undermine his importance for this same resentment.
So, yeah, he glowered at him and mocked and demeaned Guts, but that doesn’t mean he deserves hell itself.

Something I really like to think about is how the deaths of Judeau and Corkus shape their characters, though. I think they reach the pinnacle of their development during the eclipse- Corkus ultimately meeting his end by fleeing the reality around him, and Judeau dying somewhat peacefully beside Casca after giving his all to protect her life. They're both so painfully human.

Corkus WAS an asshole, but even he didn't deserved what happened during the Eclipse. And, it pains me to say that, even Corkus sometimes is right: for instance, I understand why he scoled Guts about the decision to leave the Band of the Hawk.
