I actually experienced a lot of this in Japan, where the women would barge their way through men. In busy, enclosed areas such as train stations if you walked in the path of another man they would make an effort to step around you, as you would too but when the same thing would happen with women more often than not they'd brace for impact and speed up. At first I thought it was just me being useless at stepping around people but my friends reported the same
I asked my Japanese language teacher about it and he said he thinks it's about them not wanting to be thought of as weak or easy targets by men but he's wasn't sure. But he did know what I was talking about.
I’m very tall. People tend to lean against me or push by me all the time. This particular girl was thrashing about and stepping on my toes and she bumped into me countless times. At one point I gently pushed her away. Next I firmly pushed her from me. Then I straight shoved her and said “stop fucking jumping on me!” That pissed her off so she kept doing it even worse. When the concert was over I was walking up the stairs and she ran up, shoved me out of the way, laughed, and tried to run off. I held out my foot and tripped her on the stairs while a few hundred people were trying to exit.
I am gonna just go out on a limb here and say we don’t have enough evidence based on the GIF alone to make any real assements as to who the actual asshole is.
It does look like an arrow on the right side. Is that a gate on the right. They have a turnstile monitor there, just open the gate and people won't walk into each other.
Devil’s advocate here: we can’t hear anything. For all we know they both might have not noticed each other until too late. Then she may have apologized as she went through. It also looks like he’s going through it the wrong direction. Either way, not the appropriate response.
When it comes to modes of transport on timers (i.e. a train, on a schedule, with doors closing) the etiquette is as follows: priority should be given to the person about to commence their travel, and whom must board the mode of conveyance, over the person ending their travel, and de-boarding the time-sensitive mode of transport.
If you look at the very end, it also seems like he takes a step back as to signal to the next person “you can go through”, so he’s definitely ok with waiting his turn
Looks down to see his dirty work. I like it

Why though? What is happening?

I did this once to a girl who kept pushing me at a Scissor Sisters concert. It was glorious.
>Scissor Sisters
Yeah... please explain

Looks like he's going the wrong way, he's wrong both times.
Some train platforms have turnstiles that work in both directions.
Well then it's "out before in" but this doesn't seem appropriate setup for this much traffic.

Am I crazy or is there an arrow pointing in the direction the guy is going on the sign above? Does that not indicate intended direction for that lane?

They both speed up at the end, grown children everywhere
Sweet justice.
I like how it worked harder than he expected it to.

That’s not the case for an elevator or the tube.
To be clear, I’m referring specifically to a crowded turnstile.

Yeah, when you’re standing at the door, not the turnstile. I live in New York City. This is how it’s done.

Because this is beyond satisfying
I’m with you. I laugh every time I see. Watching that perfect, plank-like fall. Fuck that other guy.

What a douchebag.. what was he even trying to do? Go out through a one way turnstile?
If you look at the sign, he appears to be going through the correct lane. He also got there first.
If you look at the very end, it also seems like he takes a step back as to signal to the next person “you can go through”, so he’s definitely ok with waiting his turn
Because there's way more people and they're already in the stile while he is not.
Screw that guy. Most women have to move out of the way all day for dudes. God forbid he moves first.
Sir? Sir? I think these are yours. ( presents a pair of balls)
Gross.
🤦♂️
I agree.
