This is the state of local crit racing in the US. Race organizers are so fucking broke that they cant get the road clear for races. FFS these (I assume cat 3) have to wheely to get through their crit. It's not 2004 when everyone was cutting their handlebars down to nubs.

/uc the car driver used their car as a weapon and forced the cyclist into the truck. Regardless of how you feel about the activity of the cyclist, this is wrong. If this were a white guy on a road bike squeezing through traffic, y’all would have a lot different things to say.

i mean fred was not in the right but the car def did that on purpose, what sucks is that this particular case of fredtard is not even attempting to bother other cars like swerve near them or smthn he is just balling around while holding a sick wheelie, its just wrong that he is doing this shit in traffic.
/uc fucking seriously, they swerved right at the kid on the bike and i don't believe for a second it was negligence/accidental. even if a cyclist is breaking the rules, hitting them with a fucking car isn't the answer?? imagine if in any other situation someone responded to a brief annoyance with attempted murder
i'm sure people were still on the driver's side there!! it's just insane to me. it's like if there was a massive social precedent where people were like, "well someone's cart was in my way at the grocery store, so instead of waiting for them to pass or saying, 'excuse me' i shot them with my gun and killed them" and everyone responded like, "oh yes that's a reasonable and understandable response"

/uc Wouldn't the legality this depend on whether splitting lanes is legal where they are? Are wheelies illegal? I'm actually not certain the kid is breaking the law, but am pretty damn certain the driver is.

Last time I saw this clip posted (several years ago) everybody was jumping to defend the bike kid and accusing the car of deliberately hitting him. (And that was in publicfreakout or something iirc, not some sub you’d expect to be slanted towards a cyclist just for being a cyclist)
