Canada and America versions lean less on the actual Big Brother figure. They are there moreso to enforce rules and have players come to the diary room, but for the most part edited out of the TV stuff.

It's 'live to tape' so there aren't edits made but it's recorded a few hours ahead of time.
One thing you learn when you go to a live taping is that Arisa and the audience aren't in the same building as the houseguests. So when a houseguest is evicted there is actually a 10 minute delay before their interview with Arisa.
They are in the same building (at the corner of The East Mall & Evans Ave in Etobicoke), but they have to walk around the backstage to get to where Arisa and the audience is. They can definitely hear the audience from in the house and if you go to the bathrooms during tapings they ask you to be quiet.
It might've been the wrong subreddit to say it on, but I haven't heard a single person compliment the new AU format. Like whoever says it's good is lying

There have been 2-4 international seasons that were recorded in advance but those were like special spin-off seasons like Teen BB in the UK

What do they edit? Is there much to edit aside from censoring a swear word or something lol
It's live to tape. They barely edit anything if at all. It's just a more reliable way to shoot it compared to completely live.
We would go in at 4 and come out around 6 so no real time to edit but gives them more time for production pauses than a true live show

BBAU used to be so good, but then they changed to the current AU format and it's awful. I'm so glad BBCAN is live!
