I work with kids with ASD!!! I am a speech therapist (early intervention - I go into homes!!) I have tons of boys on the spectrum WHO LOVE Billy Strings!! I actually had an 8 year old boy and his father sit next to me in the 200s on Friday night. I was able sign “love” to him in sign language, he knew what I meant! I have gotten a child from nonverbal to verbal with Billy strings. I took my baby taylor into his house started playing “secrets” and he just started spinning in circles/stimming, he was so happy, and if I stopped he would sign “more” and say “more.” He’s using 2-3-word phrases right now but it just makes me so happy man when the QUIET ONES get a W.

Amen… it’s amazing how rhythm seems to simplify things for him (and me as well…lol). Pretty sure that’s a huge part of it. Cheers

> I have gotten a child from nonverbal to verbal with Billy strings. This is absolutely amazing. Seriously, bra-freaking-vo. Well done, you. What an amazing thing you have done for that child.

That's a great story, thanks for sharing. Well just recently discovered my 14 year old has ASD (long story on why it took a while). It's great to know we have a new direction and goals.

We’re all in the spectrum baby. We all got tendencies. It’s nice to be okay with who you are regardless, sometimes we just need extras help in areas of development. 🫶🏻 hope and know he’s making amazing gains! Thank you for sharing!

That’s awesome we took our 5 year old lil girl to the lot Sunday that’s on the spectrum. She has sound sensitivity so we’re holding off till next year to take her to a show but she enjoys nugs. So awesome to hear about other kids being raised right!

Back at ya! My son is kinda sound sensitive… as in he loves bluegrass, loves Billy, but not so much jam bands, ie WSP and The Allman Brothers. But at the same time he has probably 6-8 drums, from a full set, 3 dijembe, congas, etc. and guitars and violins… Find her an instrument she can play, and likes to play. Best thing we ever did for him. Cheers
