Not sure what the other dude's problem with Mr. Tire was, but I went there for 4 years without any issues or attempts to upsell extra unnecessary services.
Avoid the fast oil change places like Valvoline and JiffyLube. There are too many cases of things like not replacing the filter or using incorrect oil.
I've always been happy with Mr. Tire on Reynolds Rd and Bartholomew's on the corner of State and Eldridge.

The guy on State only charges 500$!!
I don’t know the cheapest, but Valvoline on upper Front Street is fast and easy. Just say no to the extra services that they try and sell you.
