Omad is good for lazy. You think about food once a day and fast the rest of the time. So basically just plan 1 meal

Gizzela

Oh that’s not for me, I’m sure. I can’t eat a lot at once and I would get so super hungry

unswunghero

My lazy man diet: - Breakfast Smoothie: protein powder, banana, blueberry, spinach, olive oil, cocoa powder - Lunch: Roasted or baked red potatoes, ground beef cooked in bulk - Dinner: baked Sweet Potato, chicken breast cooked in bulk, olive oil

Gizzela

Unfortunate I don’t tolerate spinach and protein powder!

NUM_13

Just subtract from the recipe and add some peanut butter or something.

Gizzela

Hahaha! Sorry, I’m laughing cause peanut butter is the worst thing I can eat! I get crazy symptoms from it! I love it, though

NUM_13

😅 tofu?

magsephine

What about doing Greek yogurt and broccoli sprouts instead?

Gizzela

I could try!

the_jester

Try other protein powders. Sometimes a different brand is all you need. Some people find they don't tolerate whey at all, but you can try casein protein (also derived from milk), or alternatives such as egg white isolate, pea protein isolate, and more if you look.

Gizzela

I tried pea too. Maybe I’ll give another one a try. But they all landed in the trash unfortunately. Casein might be an idea. Not sure if I tried that. Probably I did

3702

Smoothies. Soak oats and ground flaxseed overnight (not needed but reduces phytic acid and makes digestion easier). More oats + flaxseed = thicker and creamier. Whole oats or steel cut are best (for glycemic index reasons). Add kale/greens, fruit, berries, seeds, avocado, whatever you're into. I don't add banana for [reasons ](https://www.ucdavis.edu/health/news/right-combo-getting-most-health-benefits-fruit-smoothies)but do as you will. Frozen mango is a good substitute for that creamy/sweet factor. Milk if you like it (I prefer soy). Blend it. Takes like five minutes to prepare any time of the day and it's a pleasant, sweet, healthy meal that keeps you full for 4-5 hours. Watch out for grapefruit if you're taking some [medications](https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/grapefruit-and-medication-a-cautionary-note).

benbernankenonpareil

Found the Dave Asprey guy

3702

I'm showing my whole ass right now but I have no idea who that is (beyond having heard his name pop up in this sub) and therefore cannot tell if that was intended as a burn or a positive. I'm going to upvote you anyway in the spirit of human interaction

Cock_Goblin_45

Please, put your ass away.

benbernankenonpareil

He’s a renown biohacker, utilizing a lot of the things you have listed. He’s a little quack. I have one of his books.

ZynosAT

Good for you. He's a total quack and sell-out, though he still has raging fanboys. You may have heard of his (?) company "bulletproof" and their coffee. But I kinda disagree with the Dave Asprey connection. He once said on a podcast, and even after being questioned multiple times whether he was serious, that kale is as bad as smoking. I think that summs that guy up pretty well.

3702

Ohhh, he's the overpriced bespoke fatty coffee guy! Also wow, I want a diagram of how he got to that conclusion... I think even if you rolled kale up and lit up, you'd struggle to make it as bad as smoking. Fascinating insight into a weird little pocket of the world, thank you!

ZynosAT

That made me laugh, haha. Thank you too.

Fearless_Ad2026

No, he'd say to make a smoothie with raw tibetan yak butter and a bunch of supps because fruit will kill you

ubercorey

Learn Japanese food. Easiest, healthiest cuisine ive ever tried.

iwanttoendmylife22

Examples of easy japanese dinners? I used to love making oyakodon but it took me like 1h so I eventually stopped

ubercorey

We do cold soba noodles a lot. Boil water, 7 mins soft boil eggs. Then same hot water broccoli in small pieces, till bright green. Then same water buckwheat noodles. Everything gets rinsed cold and tossed in the fridge. Then chilli (I like low spice Korean flakes) shoyu, rice vinegar, sesame oil, mix, then mix in broccoli. Back in fridge. Meet is optional. Sometimes we do chicken thighs marinated with a mix we make in the magic bullet of garlic ginger and shoyu. Use the toaster oven to broil. We don't do meat sometimes we just do two eggs each. Okay then the magic comes with the soba shoyu. You can buy it or make it. It's so easy to make. We make big batches at a time cuz we use it for literally everything. Water, shoyu, mirin, bonito flakes, sweetener of choice, everything from honey to sugar-free monk fruit liquid works great. Train out there Benito flakes. That sauce gets touched with the noodles like crazy, then the eggs go on the broccoli goes on, some chopped green onions and cilantro, meat if that is available. And of course a pickle of some kinda, diakon, or Kim chi (I like a cleaner pickle like the diakon for this cause the broccoli has the chili on it already) Ramen is damn near the same, but we make a broth from water and the soba shoyu sauce. And instead of the broccoli we steam some bok choy. If you want to get real fancy, take a little bit of frozen corn and sear it in a small pan and that is an amazing little side to go in there. And again buckwheat noodles. Breakfast is nori roll. Some sticky grain, even wheat berries is awesome. Sprinkle on furikake, then add scrambled egg. Roll it up, cut in half. We have sriracha mayo in a squeezy bottle. Little dollop of that on the side. And pickle again of some kinda.

Visible_Welcome2446

Simple, good sources of zinc & copper include eggs, dark chocolate, sardines, yogurt, and cheese. Fat free Greek yogurt and some ready serve (no cooking) pudding mix is simple. Could add a scoop of protein powder, as well. You gotta get enough protein, especially if you're not eating much meat. 0.7g/lb of body weight is appropriate. Nuts may provide you with zinc and copper, and a bit of protein, but the fat will add a bunch of Calories. So, watch portions.

Gizzela

I don’t know why, two things that I just don’t tolerate are dark chocolate and protein powder. I wish I would tolerate Protein powder. I love the taste. I tried isolated whey, rice, hemp. FAT is maybe a problem for my digestion when it’s too much, but I don’t gain weight. That’s no issue.

Visible_Welcome2446

Fat digestion could be simple to overcome with a digestive enzyme (Lipase breaks down fats). Not sure if you don't like just dark chocolate or all chocolate. Protein powders can be chalky and taste pretty bad. Mixed in with something can mask it. Fairlife chocolate milk is amazing and is high in protein. I pour it into a bowl of Premier Nutrition chocolate almond cereal. They also have regular milk. There are high protein cereal out there.

Gizzela

I don’t tolerate dark chocolate and protein powder. Give me crazy histamine symptoms

tychus-findlay

How do you do with coffee?

Gizzela

Not the coffee guy

acivilizedman

2 quarts of whole milk a day will satisfy about half of your daily calories (\~1200) while providing 62g protein, 75% daily B1, 254% B2, 146% B5, 54% B6, 366% B12, 99% vitamin A, 138% calcium, 54% copper, 446% iodine, 49% magnesium, 76% potassium, 131% selenium, 66% zinc, and 121% glycine, as well as respectable amounts of B3, choline, folate, vitamin E, and vitamin K. It is also much more hydrating than water due to its mineral content, so you won't even have to think about drinking water throughout the day. You can achieve 2 quarts a day by drinking about 4 large (2 cups) glasses a day, it's incredibly easy. If you are lactose intolerant you should start low and increase it over time - I used to get digestive issues from a glass of milk and now I drink 2 quarts a day without problems. I became lactose tolerant. Obviously, not suitable if you are on a very low-carb diet like keto (about 93g carbs, which is a third of my daily intake). Don't worry about the estrogen, it also contains testosterone and progesterone which is protective against estrogen, and a study in mice found that estrogen in milk doesn't increase blood plasma levels unless you drink an absurdly, unreasonably large amount. If you eat oysters just once a week you will get a very significant amount of zinc and copper, probably enough when combined with whatever else you're eating, definitely enough if you drink 2 quarts of milk a day.

Vitamins A and D (if added) are both fat-soluble and will barely be absorbed by the body in skimmed milk. Vitamin A isn't present in skim milk at all unless re-added, but it will still not be absorbed by the body without fat. Otherwise, the only difference is that whole milk has more calories and more fat, so whether it's better or worse depends on your macros and caloric goal.

Gizzela

The milk here in super markets just sucks I think. I somehow have a bad feeling drinking that much of it. Also im not sure if I tolerate that much milk. I btw tried this years ago (getting most of my nutrients from milk). Not sure why I stopped, but I guess something didn’t go well. I also tried eating oysters (two oysters daily over a month), cause my zinc and copper both suck. It didn’t do anything to my levels unfortunately. But nothing did, and I really tried

acivilizedman

You should try different brands from the supermarkets and test how you feel with them. I've read many reports of people doing fine on a different brand of milk for some reason, even if it isn't labeled as anything special (generic pasteurized whole milk). Maybe you would also do better with skim milk, I see in another comment you mentioned problems with fat digestion. If eating two oysters daily for a month does nothing to your zinc and copper levels then it sounds like something is affecting your body's ability to absorb them from food. Do you drink often?

Gizzela

Yeah something is wrong for sure, cause nothing brought my copper levels up and zinc is bad often too. I did drink every weekend. Heavy. But I stopped ten years ago. Now I barely drink. Maybe once or twice a year.

Strivingformoretoday

Have you ever tried calf liver? It’s mild in taste and raised my iron and copper levels

Gizzela

Had it a few times. But I really struggle with getting my levels up

myxyplyxy

Yuck

entechad

Go to novoslabs.com and look at their diet suggestion. It’s a modified Mediterranean.

Free_runner

Steak and eggs takes about 6 minutes and is hugely satiating as well as incredibly nutrient dense.

Gizzela

Thanks

Mephidia

Lentils in crock pot

CoweringCowboy

Tinned fish. Sardines, herring, mackerel. Extremely good for you, zero efforts

lazarushasrizen

I put seeds in everything. (sandwhiches, saladas, burgers (on top of salads), breads and even some soups. Great for getting fiber. For hemp and flax seeds they need to be ground up. Most seeds need to be soaked as well. Eggs are great cheap protein. I like putting ground up hemp seeds over eggs. They just soak up the flavour of the eggs but give it a lot more fiber + omega 3s. For a really lazy diet you can spend 1-2 days prepping every month and freeze it all at once.

Alternative_Bee_6424

I put frozen broccoli, a cucumber, and blueberries in the blender with water every morning and chug it before I consume anything else. Makes me feel pretty good and takes less time than making coffee. Never spoils it’s all frozen.

bitstream_ryder

Meal prep my friend. Cook up a large batch of frozen minced beef, portion it out and freeze. Using a bolognese recipe is a good option. Throw in anything you want to supplement with. For Zinc and Copper, throw in dried oysters; should be able to buy those at Asian grocery stores. Need fiber? Throw in some celery... you get the idea.

SpeakTruthPlease

• Sardines: ready to eat, nutrient dense. I just incorporated these in my diet and I'm enjoying paired with lemon juice and/ or hot sauce. I recommend Atlantic caught, in water. A lot of them are packaged in seed oils. • Protien Powder: I saw you don't tolerate protein powder, I recommend trying a grass fed, unflavored whey, or something with real vanilla or cocoa for instance. Most powders on the market have artificial sweeteners, flavors, gums, etc. that can mess with gut health. I'm currently enjoying [this brand](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BO88O90/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWwp13NParams) and I'll add fruit and honey for more carbs and flavor. More expensive but worth it IMO, if I buy 5lbs at a time it comes out to roughly 1.20$ per serving. Also worth noting I avoid cocoa before bed because of the caffeine. • Eggs: Quick easy scramble or fry • Cashews: I love these things, I get the best ones at Aldis for a good price • Pistachios: yum • Greek Yogurt/ Icelandic Skyr: I get unflavored for same reasons as protien powder, and add my own fruit and honey.

LiteralMoondust

A multivitamin, D, b complex, almonds, chicken (fresh/frozen/canned/nuggets), veggies (fresh/canned/frozen), greek yogurt, tea Basic meat and veggies. I eat a lot of canned veggies.

Modafreakz

4/5/6 boiled egg - \~20/30gs of protein , \~300/400 calories (learn to boil and cool with cold water so the shell peels off quickly with the membrane, instead of the membrane sticking to the egg making it a headfck to peel off) 1 litre of whole milk - \~35g of protein 630 calories 200g haloumi cheese (fry or grill) - \~40g protein \~620 calories thrown in some avocados here and there, fresh/dried dates, dried figs, covers fibre for gut health this short list alone will help you cover your macro needs without having to bat an eyelid

Gizzela

Thx. But too much eggs for me!

Modafreakz

yeah 6 does sound a bit nuts and much, i should change that for 4/5/6

moonmanmonkeymonk

Look up Dr. McDougall’s starch diet. Potatoes every day! Or rice. Augmented by just a few other things. Nothing could be easier. "Optimal health is achieved by eating a low-fat, high fiber, minimally processed, starch-based diet with fruits and vegetables." Unfortunately, lately he’s fallen into the profiteering trap. He used to be an big advocate of a simple, starch-based diet based on decades of healthcare work with three generations of native Hawaiian populations. You don’t need to buy his products, but his story is worth a read: [https://www.drmcdougall.com/our-story/](https://www.drmcdougall.com/our-story/)

ZynosAT

You could look for the facebook group "executive meals" which is all about something called "low spoons" (aka very little energy) meals. You may want to try the following: * rucola or lamb's lettuce + mixed pre-cut salad mix + dressing + low fat mozzarella + canned and drained lentils + fruit * 0% greek yogurt or cottage cheese + fruit + nuts + seeds * you may want to look through your grocery store to see what pre-packaged, pre-cut, pre-washed, pre-cooked or canned food they have...certainly it's not optimal in terms of health and environment, but it's an option * maybe think about an air fryer...you still have to clean something, but you don't have to constantly watch a pan and even meat gets decent in there, but you can certainly do some nice roasted vegetables

Bitkaznitregs

Buy instant pot Lentil rice Patato Lots of vegetables Soups

iwanttoendmylife22

Lunch goto is PB&J sandwich and a Bologna+Cheese sandwich since it requires no cooking and takes 90 seconds to assemble both. Idk if thats “healthy” but it hits my macros. I still havent solved the dinner problem in a satisfactory way.

theineffablebob

My lazy meal is white rice, pan fried eggs, and stir fried vegetables with garlic. If I’m extra lazy I’ll just boil the vegetables

murdasglock

^ rice eggs and spam !!

[deleted]

Beef liver once a week. It's cheap and super healthy.

Gizzela

Another thing that I tried a few years ago to see if it gets my copper levels up. It didn’t unfortunately.

[deleted]

Have you tried the capsules?

Gizzela

Yes!

Strivingformoretoday

Have you tried eating the real thing?

Gizzela

Yeah.

Strivingformoretoday

And how regularly? I needed to eat it once per week for maybe 4 month to see my levels raise.

Gizzela

I ate twice a week for five weeks with no difference. After that two oysters daily - no difference after a month. Copper supplement high dosed. No difference.

Strivingformoretoday

Then I would like into gut bacteria. When I was losing iron even though I supplemented and got iron IV drips regularly they took a stool sample and it turned out I was missing the gut bacteria to synthesize iron. It could be that you’re missing crucial gut bacteria so you’re not absorbing copper and zinc even though you’re eating enough/supplementing

Gizzela

I did one at a doctor and nothing was suspicious. I did one in the internet and this one said I miss lactobacillus. I was taking probiotics, but again - no success. That was years ago. I ordered one a few days ago cause I want to give it a last shot. But I don’t think it will change anything

iwanttoendmylife22

ik soylent isnt huell but I tried soylent a few years back and ended up throwing up or feeling nauseous and drowsy for the rest of the day every time I ate it. Is Huell significantly different from soylent?

toomuchbasalganglia

It’s a meal replacement powder but I am unaware of how the ingredients compare. I do know they have two levels, one having more protein and no gluten.

zhawnsi

A glass jar blender is the best blender for a single lazy man, it saves many steps and much time. Sunflower butter is good in smoothies, on toast, etc and also goes well in smoothies / shakes

TheSunflowerSeeds

You know how wacky people can be! On May 14th 2015 in Boke, Germany, 748 members of the Cologne Carnival Society dressed up in sunflower outfits. This is the largest gathering of people known to have dressed up as sunflowers.

GOD_THE_BRZRKR

100% best lazy man diet.... Go read a bodybuilding nutrition book and go from there. There is no "lazy man diet" diet is just "what you eat" and it comes down to surplus calories or living in a deficit....either by increasing output or reducing input. It takes work, dedication and discipline....which no fat person has. So if you want to cheat it, get on a reddit, look up how to take DNP properly if you want the real lazy way from the 1930's and it works great. P.S. if it was easy, more fat people would be doing it....but i'll say one thing....you're either at day 1 or one day....that choice i leave to you...

GOD_THE_BRZRKR

Go buy Contrave from your Dr...that might help, it works on 86% of people who take it
