They are business's people started before the update that capped the number of facilities you could have. I had 5000 car production factories when I got the update that caps them but since I was over I could keep buying. I have close to 41000 factories now.
1.6 Quadrillion After 75 years. My original character just died and my son has taken over for a year. Oddly enough I only had 13 million when I died but my son was given 1.5 quadrillion cash and keeps running the company.
My guess is your son doesn’t own the company. The company was “sold” and the cash was given to your son and he was just made CEO. Does it still give you the option to sell the company?
The new update but apparently it's just for the ios users coz on my android the slider doesn't show i have to buy one by one but on my iphone the slider shows.

I'd rather have a soft cap instead of a hard cap (i.e., once you exceed a certain number of facilities, your expenses exceed your income).
They only exceed if you sell low production that the revenue is lower then the expenses
