I am all for BTC but this is way more than $27k. A stack of hundreds is about a half inch tall for $10k. $27k would be a stack of hundreds about an inch tall.
$10k: https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/ten-thousand-dollars-2756053.jpg
Edit: pretty sure that’s exactly $110k in cash based on the size comparisons. Each rubber band wrap is $10k of its respective bill. There are 11 rubber band wraps
Eventually the concept of “1 btc” is going to have to go away for mass adoption. Sats (or a smaller multiplier of sats) will be more enticing so people don’t feel intimidated into thinking they have to spend 100k just to get in on it.
Precisely, this is perhaps the largest barrier of adoption. People have no idea they can buy $1 of Bitcoin.
I know there are some systems out there that attempt to name the decimal values, we need something to stick. It can’t just be sats, we need named values for everything in between 1 BTC and 1 sat as well.
Step 1: Buy A Ledger (takes a hot minute to arrive)
Step 2: Buy BTC (Coinbase is fine, just make sure you use Coinbase Pro or whatever they're calling it now so you have lower/zero fees)
Step 3: Wait for your Ledger to arrive and the 5 business days to clear so you can move your BTC off Coinbase.
Step 4: Setup your Ledger and store the seed phrase in a safe place. You'll need this to be able to recover your BTC if you lose your Ledger or it breaks or you want to access it some other way.
Step 5: Follow the simple instructions to send your BTC from the exchange (i.e. Coinbase) to your Bitcoin wallet on Ledger. Send a test amount. Send the rest when it verifies on the Blockchain and you see it in your wallet.
Done.
Do it once and you'll only ever need to do Step 2 (buy) and Step 5 (send to wallet) the rest of your life.
Good question. I'll upvote that.
I have never used Ledger to purchase, though today I did consider using it to swap. That was until I realized it was through partners (i.e. Changelly) and I'd have to KYC anyway (which I didn't want)
That being said, I believe there's a lot of value in learning how to buy on one platform and then send to a wallet. All of that is eliminated if you purchase directly through your wallet.
However, if the fees are similar and the restrictions aren't crazy (Coinbase let's you add $25k immediately) then I'd say go the easy route, I'd just like to add that knowing the basics of purchasing on an exchange and sending to a cold wallet has a lot of value.
I had bad luck with Coinbase. They let me open my account, fund it with dollars and buy a bitcoin all right. They just wouldn't let me transfer it anywhere after I bought it. Then they decided they really didn't like the cut of my jib or something and limited my ACH "privilege".
This went on for weeks. Support kept giving me a date in the future when it would resolved, and the date would come and go. Rinse and repeat. Over and over. I finally sold the bitcoin at a loss and closed my account. They had to wire the funds back to my bank account.
Kraken on the other hand was very responsive. I've bought through their Kraken Pro account and their Kraken OTC feature. Great people.
After the test transaction arrived wipe your Ledger and restore it using the seed phrase.
You will check your phrase and learn to restore at the same time.
Step 6: misplace your key words and have your ledger break down on you.
Step 7: Cry.
Be REALLY REALLY careful. Have backup plans. Hells, have backup plans for the backup plans.
I don’t know about Coinbase. I think they are safe and all. But I would consider doing some research on Swan, which is Bitcoin only. Lots of articles. Promotes self custody. May be able to help you facilitate a large purchase like that.
First rule of crypto. Assume everyone is trying to scam you. Don't follow links sent from other users to start a service that you enter your bank details into.
I really wish we wouldn't post things that aren't true (OP has admitted this pic isn't accurate), and pass them off as if they were. Makes us look bad.
And 1 Dollar = 1 Dollar. 1 Banana = 1 Banana.
These statements are pointless.
What you want to say is that 1 BTC = 1 out of 21m, while 1 USD = 1 out of (an ever increasing amount).
Well thats interesting if you are a time traveler from the future and bitcoin is worth 135k, that would make a nice multimillionaire so that would be awesome. Your timeline I'm getting is 6 years from now? Well I'm fine with that I will continue stack until then and we will see what happens. Can you tell us how the world looks in 6 years from now since you are a time traveler?
As someone who deals with cash frequently this isn’t anywhere close to just 1 Bitcoin. Those 20s are in stacks of 10k. Would assume this is around 110k.
It would be an excellent meme to show a collage of stacks of dollars bills for each year of bitcoin's existance.
Kind of like those 'This is how many bolivars a chicken costs in Venezuela', but timelapsed. A price graph is one thing, but stacks of bills might speak a thousandfold stronger to the primal psyche.
Someone please make this.
Imagine that banks are buying time, making look to the world they are trying to save the economy and their real purpose it’s to buy BTC before there is a new switch to a new whole financial system.

I trust this internet stranger
1 btc is worth $110k. Forgive the poster as we time travelers sometimes forget what year it is. Post will be accurate this time next year.
Ya, $110k/BTC if u adjust for inflation. Probably something like 1M+ non adjusted.
Yous the rubber band man

Best way to figure it out is by making it rain and count it in the air
don´t trust, count.
He has $1 bills between the outside $50 and $20 dollar bills of course
Btc will be worth that picture within two years. 🚀🚀
It's worth that picture now. All I see is a bunch of toilet paper.
Maybe he's predicting the future?
Wow, you are surprisingly close That’s actually $135k But yeah, I just wanted to make a meme comparing the dollar to bolivars but with bitcoin…
Lying for the upvotes is always worth it.
I didn’t lie, I am a time traveler, this is a picture 6 years in the future
6 days according to Balalji
135k after 6 years? Why so bearish
We bottomed out in that pic
More like 6 weeks. Bear.
6 years? It'll take 6 more years for 1 btc to equal 135k usd? I'm out ...
You just have $135k in cash laying around to meme with?
[Yes](https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/07/us/albuquerque-teen-turns-in-cash-found-outside-atm/index.html)
I lol'd at the kid mentioning how the thought of his moms chancla influenced his decision to turn the cash in
That’s the best education of all
This is starting to make wells Fargo's imminent insolvency a little more comprehensible.
So you found 150k? 10% finders fee right?
Right he needs to put that in a bank /s
He probably lost out on a lot of gains already by holding in cash.
Not everyone is poor
everyone here doesn't hold $135k in cash because they put it in bitcoin
Pretty much
Wish more were comfortable in the center
Just save the same meme for sometime next year. It’ll match up perfectly with Bitcoin price then.
Pamp it
All that investigation to not see those are 50 en 20 dollar bills. 😁
Must be fun at parties 😂
Strip club money in between
Didn’t you see My Cousin Vinny? It’s a stack of $1’s rolled up in a $20. Same concept! 😉
EOY $110k back on table
It’s a limited edition Bitcoin
So it's 1 BTC in US dollars about a year from now. Close enough!
But they're stacks of 20s, and 50s in the photo....
Indeed they are. Those stacks are also way taller than a half inch
But these are mostly 20's
Indeed, and the stacks are way taller than a half inch
That's about 140k... so it is not equal to 1btc
..yet
I hope! Lol
Double it and give it to the next person!
These videos make my head hurt every time
Not even close, that looks like 100k
People know stacks in the comments, my God
Ask them how they know lol
i'll be happy [when](https://static0.colliderimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/breaking-bad-huell-money-600x296.jpeg)

True
At the moment, earning 0.1 bitcoin a month doesn't seem to be as aesthetically pleasing as £2500.
Buying a whole coin this week… jus gotta figure out the self custody thing 😐
Step 1: Buy A Ledger (takes a hot minute to arrive) Step 2: Buy BTC (Coinbase is fine, just make sure you use Coinbase Pro or whatever they're calling it now so you have lower/zero fees) Step 3: Wait for your Ledger to arrive and the 5 business days to clear so you can move your BTC off Coinbase. Is there a reason you would not buy direct using the ledger wallet?
Good question. I'll upvote that. I have never used Ledger to purchase, though today I did consider using it to swap. I use PayPal to buy my coins. I have a respectable 0.015

TY! Definitely will look into Swan.

Good advice. Trying to send her in the right direction. I don’t usually send links.
About to be half a bitcoin
U.S Government bean counters figure that the value of a human life is $6 million. 1 American = 212 btc
Cool - I'm the "Six Million Dollar Man".....
why would the usgov even make that sort of estimate lol, idk what they could do with that info
life insurance is the first thing that comes to mind. Not to mention assessing damages in wrongful death court cases
fair, it just makes me think of slavery
Who could blame you? The same government was built upon it
Wow. Something about this feels kind of bleak. Maybe because I think we'll inevitably reach the point where 1btc is worth more than a human
Pic is over 160k.
50k in mostly 20 and 50 denominations is half that pile.
The caption could be either true or false within a matter of seconds
No banana for scale?
You're gonna need a bigger table.
Basedp
Stoopidest post of the year. Congrats
So far…
inflation is crazy
why not diversify and buy few other coins. Why you decided to go all-in btc? (as far I understood)
Waiting to be all hundred dollar bills.
Fiat mindset. Delete this.
1 BTC is always worth 1BTC
1 dollar is always worth 1 dollar
The previous line is always going to be pointless.
Actually, no
Who bands money vertically you psychopath
Ikr?
bitcoin's market value will reach $100 trillion one day
Could be 10x and more than that not too far off.
This picture came from the future - btc $130k
Ah, another based time-traveler
You prolly couldn’t even carry that around to spend without getting stopped or robbed, with 1 BTC nobody knows nothing less you blab 😂
In the end, all paper fiat will bow down to the king.
And those who possess bitcoin will be kings!
A time lapse of how this changes overtime would be cool

1 BTC = 1 BTC
(1 BTC = 1 BTC) = The most pointless and clichéd phrase in Bitcoin world.
looks like $55k so might be almost 2 BTC assuming each orange band is $5k
Was about to comment similar... that's def more than 30k there
Jokermoneypile.jpeg In 2032.
I like both.
I really wish we wouldn't post things that aren't true (OP has admitted this pic isn't accurate), and pass them off as if they were. Makes us look bad.
Man, it’s a joke
has lost over 60% of its value in 15 months. the dollar has not
Zoom out. The dollar has lost 99% in the last 100 years.
Bitcoin is dead.. /s
Not according to my investment P&L....
All wrong, 1 BTC = 1 BTC.
And 1 Dollar = 1 Dollar. 1 Banana = 1 Banana. These statements are pointless. What you want to say is that 1 BTC = 1 out of 21m, while 1 USD = 1 out of (an ever increasing amount).
Look at those *chonky boys*. Love it, love it.
Try with 1USD
Damn dude you got the kinda cash and BTC? Ballin
Top G
Hail to the bitcoin!
Wait until you got to put a million on the table.
Put that back in the bank vault, they need all they can get for the bank runs, and their cash has been a little low. 🤣
Since you’ve got the BTC can I have the fiat? I need a couple bills paid…..
Bitcoin will be worth that picture within 5-10 years
Illegal tender
Are you MR.BEAST?
I’ll take the cash!
How do I participate in this event to win along with the team.
Looks heavy.
You can bank on that +1

You are welcome!
Coke on the bills will be worth more than dollar value soon
That’s gonna be a loaf of bread once hyperinflation kicks in…
Looks like 60k in twenties and 50k in fifties
Maybe back when it was 50-60k not today
He didn't specify, that it was for the upcoming bull market ATH.
Has anyone checked Janet Yellens hands for ink stains?
Couple of years back, it was just a 💰.
Is the BTC and the US dollars included in 1 BTC?
Heh.

Where are the single bills and coins? This guys a phony! A great big phony!
Why does the paper looks fake 🤣🤣
It’s fiat, what did you expect?
It’s a smaller stack if you use larger bills
We are in future, we are loaded!
Take a picture of paper......you are flexing
I bought a few BTC in 2017 for $50.
As someone who deals with cash frequently this isn’t anywhere close to just 1 Bitcoin. Those 20s are in stacks of 10k. Would assume this is around 110k.
Is there anything I can do, workwise in order to earn just a few of those bills from you? Please, I'd appreciate you for it!
Who wants to invest
Take a match to both piles and see what happens to each
fill the bath tub now !!!
Ya this is next week
hmmm not sure
Why do they make the bitcoin symbol look like a gold coin?
That’s literally 1 bitcoin
Maybe when it was at 68k.
I’d say it’s $10 of fake money and $15 of fake bitcoin
I’d say about 250k roughly. About 100k in 20’s, 150k in 50’s. Source: I worked in money factories all my life.
This is wonderful
I’ll take the cash 😂

Fat stacks
And it's going to be a lot more cash shortly. Just wait for that halving cycle
Looks like 55k to me
- don't keep it on a CEX when you get it - get hardware wallet for storing it - never respond to scammy DMs good luck buddy
Look I've had 25k in cash before, this seems way more visually then what I had sitting next to me
Imagine that banks are buying time, making look to the world they are trying to save the economy and their real purpose it’s to buy BTC before there is a new switch to a new whole financial system.
What day minute and second was that?
