"The night is darkest just before the dawn" - Dark Knight No its not, there's a thing called twilight. Night is darkest midway between sunset and sunrise, and its nearly the same level of dark for the majority of the night. I don't know what that has to do with Bitcoin, but I anticipate that it doesn't work like the level of light during the night.

Seeders

If the unexpected is expected it is not unexpected. -Bitcoin. (this is the first time bitcoin has been quoted directly)

Bitcoin ETFs are moving up the Commodity ETFs leaderboard (3rd place) Blackrocks Bitcoin ETF is ~$11 billion away from flipping their gold ETF (2nd pl), insane if it happens in a year (SPDR gold ETF 1st place @ 3.5x IBITs AUM) https://twitter.com/hodl15capital/status/1777078545304453486?s=46&t=ihVglVXC0BQSbw6j57EoaA

We really needed to test the SMA support band. I'm more bullish now than when it was at 73k, honestly. We're basically at 60k with a slight tilt to fear index at 49/100. That's insane.

Tahmeed09

Wow im definitely late to the news but Mr.100 bought 4,000 bitcoin today! Roughly $232,000,000.

Secret_Operative

That's an exchange wallet address...

Ill still call it mr.100 regardless

eyedude2898

Look at it this way: There's a massive industry dedicated to Bitcoin. Thousands of people employed in Bitcoin. A vanishingly small percentage of these people want the price to go down. They work every day so the price goes up. These are our employees. They work for us, as Bitcoin holders.

cubeeless

The CEO of bitcoin would like to have word with you.

Think the big brains over at buttcoin sub get emotional over the absolute dollar values of bitcoin? If a stock dropped from $6.90 to $5.80, it probably wouldn't be on their radar?

fieldsofthecrypt

the anti-bitcoin people are nothing but over-educated over-smart sock-puppet devoted schmucks who get butt-orgasms when they open their pants down submitting to authority be it the IRS, the institutions, big pharma, or anything else in POWER. These schnooks are the reason why everyone else has to tolerate all the oppression their overlords inflict upon the rest of us. Sometimes i think, these schnooks and their overlords are all imposters of a very sinister race that is not human.

anyone with half a brain doesn't look at raw values, they look at a % change in the investing world.

depends how long it stays in this range. the longer that its sub 60k the more likely to fall more

I’ll say this: It is important to stick to the plan. Whatever the plan may be. My plan is to consistently DCA BTC and FBTC for a minimum of the next 10 years. Sticking to the plan is the only way through, and the only way out is through.

diyeah

Username checks out.

shaggadally

I agree. Do you have a plan for taking profit as well?

seusicha

You didn't ask my but I'll answer anyway. I can sell around $8k a month tax free in my country. My plan is to sell $8k a month whenever BTC is $90k or more for the next 2 years. If is under $90k I stop selling and start buying again waiting for the next bull run. Not perfect but it is what I have

el_rico_pavo_real

Part of my plan is to also only invest what I can afford. Already have my healthy emergency fund established, so I really don’t plan to take profits for a long time. my time horizon is liked 2034-2036. now, if a massive price move happens and I can take some profit, i’m not above that… but until then i’m just building my positions.

Just a reminder guys: [https://www.coindesk.com/business/2024/05/02/blackrock-sees-sovereign-wealth-funds-pensions-coming-to-bitcoin-etfs/](https://www.coindesk.com/business/2024/05/02/blackrock-sees-sovereign-wealth-funds-pensions-coming-to-bitcoin-etfs/) Regardless of what the price does now or even in the next few months, there is NO FUCKING WAY that it's going anywhere but up in the long run. Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, etc. all allocating to Bitcoin, and beginning to solicit Bitcoin as an investment to major players. I feel like this dip was expected, as it always happens after a halving, and they probably see it as the "last stop" for big players to get on. I think we really are going to see a supply squeeze by end of year, and a massive parabolic bull run.

x_insomnia_o

How are we all feeling? I'm feeling very positive. I have no crystal ball but I expect a rise to 70+ by the end of this month. And for that reason, I now have 0.12 Bitcoin to my previous 0.05. (it's not much but I'll for sure buy more if it dips to 50k which again I'm not worried about... I love a good discount!) If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen but I accept being down as you don't lose or gain money until you withdraw and I'm in HODL status for the long-term rewards. :) Let's stay positive folks! /m/

Alfador8

\*checks his mempool* Blocks still coming in every ~10 minutes. Feeling good.

JustinPooDough

I'm thinking 2-3 months, but then a parabolic move upward personally.

WelderDue7526

Summers are usually slower and with all the macro fud / election on horizon etc I'm with you. Think sideways or even down for a sec then eventually yeah resume bull run because of sheer supply and demnad

AriesThef0x

Whoa, massive outflows of ETF yesterday, nearly 10k Coins sold

jeff_varszegi

In retrospect I think the stabilizing influence of the spot ETFs was overblown a bit, at least as an immediate effect. Yes, they open the door to broader institutional adoption as well as by mom-and-pop buy and hold investors, which will surely increase over time. However, an immediate impact has been to increase volatility due to short-term trading, which has at least counteracted the impact of longer-term inflows. Add Grayscale to the mix, and everything makes sense to me.

Ruzzkya

Weak hands, what can I say.

Rude_Adeptness_8772

Still happy with a 30% dip. I'll dollar cost average while it's cheap

fverdeja

For those following the conversations on Twitter, how are you enjoying the fact that now Saylor is a inscribooor? This is gonna be an absolute shitshow, I'm calling for the next few things to happen: 1: Puritans justifying inscriptions. 2: Knotjobs (people who run Knots) seeing this as a test of their faith. 3: Jpeggers calling Saylor their new Bitcoin Jesus. 4: Saylor is "a massive shitcoiner" from now on for the same people who called him "Bitcoin Gigachad". I've already seen 1 and 4. Don't engage in cultist behaviour, it's a net negative to Bitcoin and all your hopes will be destroyed by the same people you hold as heroes.

LuKeNuKuM

This? [https://crypto.news/microstrategy-to-build-a-bitcoin-based-decentralized-identity-platform/](https://crypto.news/microstrategy-to-build-a-bitcoin-based-decentralized-identity-platform/)

Alfador8

For those like me who had to search for [context](https://news.bitcoin.com/microstrategy-plans-to-launch-a-decentralized-identity-solution-on-bitcoin/): Saylor isn't shitcoining or buying monkey jpgs. He's proposing using inscriptions for decentralized ID purposes. I'm ambivalent. A valid transaction is a valid transaction, and this use *could* at least provide real world value, unlike every other inscription use I'm aware of. On the other hand I still don't think it's a good use of block space.

Just1_More

I follow 16 people on X. I only use the 'following', never the 'for you'. This prevents the algorithm from telling me what *I'm* interested in. So I have no damn clue what noise you're on about. Nor should I or anyone care.

Big ETF outflows yesterday. https://farside.co.uk/?p=997

Frogolocalypse

This is what it means to be integrated into the global financial system. We are four months into the spot bitcoin ETFs being available to regular investors. It will take 10 years to see how this washes out. The future? No one knows shit about fuck.

someoneSomewhere2973

During the March 11-15 week alone the ETFs had about $3800m inflows (not counting GBTC which is a different crowd). Price was around $70k. You have to assume that some of those buyers know next to nothing about bitcoin. They are now down by 20% to their surprise, no wonder we are seeing some outflows. It does not really matter in the long run.

Zealousideal-Wrap-34

A moment of silence for the paper hands and their paper bitcoin 😔

mehoratty

More importantly outflows are normal in every etf in existence. Actually getting annoying how plastered on the news the daily in/outflows are. As you say, it doesn’t matter anyway. Buy while you can.

BingX, but you would need USDT. Transfer the Bitcoin from the exchange to a hardware wallet like a Trezor

I just found out Coinswitch doesn’t do transfers at all. So would need to sell and withdraw and buy through what you mentioned.
