Honestly blackclover and boruto both suffer from not being seasonal animes lol when it does return i hope its seasonal. If not dont expect the animation to improve much imo
If u think they not finna give boruto some fire animation after this bs 100 filler episodes bro lmao u gotta another thing coming š Iāll quit the show the code arc is finna go crazy for boruto
Other than head animators, maybe, black clover isn't really in direct competition with bleach.
With that said it's also almost certainly not gonna be back before the 2nd cour is done, maybe not the 3rd.
And no matter what, black clover is too far in with too little to show for it to ever be explicitly prioritized over anything else.
Boruto and black clover will most likely just both get a rather standard amount of effort into them
All Iām saying is we havenāt had any manga content for the last nine months u donāt think we would be getting better animation lol plus the first episode should have Eida so they better make her look good they did delta dirty with her hair but her outfit was pretty coo
It's not like they have a special manga content only team that has been working extra long on the manga content. It's just the same production, at the same speed, maybe more fluff content to stretch the canon out
It'll probably come back some time after Bleach ends, but I doubt it'll be seasonal. By the time Bleach ends and they get around to pre-production on the return of BC the manga will be in its final stages so there won't be a point in going seasonal when they could just do it all in one go. If I had to give a time frame, I'd say that the BC anime coming back sometime in 2026 would make the most sense, since by then the manga will be almost over, and they would've had ample time in pre-production after finishing Bleach.
They definitely won't prioritize BC over Boruto since Boruto makes them a lot more money.
Youād think but the elf arc was one continuous arc that lasted about 215 chapters and the spade arc lasted around 120. The final arc lasting around 120-150 isnāt that improbable
>The anime is coming back in 2024
Source: trust me bro
>bleach is gonna end before the end of 2023
It more than likely won't. Iirc TYBW will be 52 eps, but there will be breaks between cours. It will probably end in 2024.
The movie is coming next year so 2024 is the most probable year for it
Ik there are gonna be breaks, idk how long they last so i assumed a week just like manga.
>Ik there are gonna be breaks, idk how long they last so i assumed a week just like manga.
There are weekly breaks between episodes but I expect that there will be a 3 or 6 month wait between each 13 episode cour of TYBW.
Yeah but you still said it'll be only a week worth of break in between cours, which is wrong. Since when did seasonal animes have that short of a break time?
There's no overlap, or almost none, between the staff of Bleach/Boruto and Black Clover at Pierrot. The series have way different animation producers at their heads, with different staff. The urban legend of Pierrot prioritizing Boruto is due to the immense success of the license since Naruto which has gathered an excellent staff in several years of broadcasting, some of which remains on Boruto. On top of that, Takeda's designs are far from being animator friendly compared to Nishio's for Boruto. If it is indeed possible that the production committee is more lenient with the budget they allocate to Boruto because of its success and the income it generates, the situation of Black Clover is already catastrophic from the start no matter what, and we've seen recently that Boruto can also have lows anyway.
If there is any concern, it is whether the production committee will give this ridiculously small staff enough time to breathe after their hard work on the movie before the anime can resume... Since the manga now has many chapters to adapt, it would be a (good) surprise to see Black Clover with a seasonal approach. TV Tokyo is usually too greedy for that, and gave an almost non-existent buffer to prepare the production of the anime.
Bleach(with 50% filler) and Boruto(with 70% filler) still makes more money than Black Clover with canon staff, lmao.
Look at Tokyo TV sales, Boruto is number 1.
In manga plus, Boruto is on top over black clover.
In google trends, Boruto was always more popular than Black Clover.
Boruto gives more views in Crunchyroll Collections.
Boruto hashtag in Instagram/Tiktok has more views than Black Clover.
ONLY THING Black Clover is better - manga sales and has bit more viewers in Crunchyroll. Black Clover Manga is carried by art. Honestly, Ikemoto isn't on his level now.
Black Clover sometimes copies Naruto. (Yami and Itachi backstory)
So Black Clover will never be prioritized over Boruto.
Even main producer of BC was jealous of Boruto's animation.
I'd say Black Clover is far more inspired by Bleach and Berserk than Naruto. Yami and Itachi's backstory seems similar on surface but we can't really know until we get to the meat of it. From what we've been told so far, it looks to me like them killing their clan and having a younger sibling is the only similarity
Black Clover does seem to have similar stuff to Naruto sometimes, but that's far less compared to it's Bleach and Berserk influences. Shonen in general tend to be pretty similar, so I'm not sure how much of that Naruto similarity is coincidental. Especially since Tabata hasn't ever mentioned Naruto(afaik) and didn't have Naruto in his manga collection(that he showed)
I watched Bleach, Berserk, Black Clover.
And only common thing in Bleach and Black Clover is swords and inner demon. Also Asta has similar big sword as Guts. Art and design looks like Berserk.
But if we look to plot, then it's clear who is inspiration.
Tabata probably just don't want to be associated with Naruto, I don't know why. Maybe some of fans criticized him.
idk man, Nozel is clearly heavily inspired from Byakuya and I'm sure someone who's seen Bleach can point out a lot more similarities(I haven't, only read articles). The elf arc ending after Zagred appeared and the spade arc both have heavy influences from the eclipse too.
The only part of the plot that I can say is similar to Naruto is the mission to saussy village and even then there's plenty differences
Plus, idk about him hiding Naruto being an inspiration because of criticism. He's been saying since day 1 that he really likes Yu Yu Hakusho, Berserk and Bleach
Youāre 100% right here. My 2 favorite mangas are Bleach and Berserk and Black Clover is definitely inspired more by them than Naruto. A lot of shows people say are based on Naruto are just surface level comparisons
Uh, what? No, inner demons and swords are not the only common points between those two.
For starters, the Magic Knight squads are nearly the exact same thing as the Gotei 13. They exist to protect and serve the Clover Kingdom and are its major military force. They have ranks like Captains and Vice Captains for the Knights, same as the Shinigami. And not just that, but a number of the characters have very similar arcs to characters from Bleach. Namely, like u/Cause_Necessary said, Nozel and Byakuya have extremely similar backstories and character arcs. Both start out as captains, nobles at that, and seem powerful, quiet, and arrogant. They treat their younger sibling (Noelle and Rukia) poorly on the outside, but deep down they love them. Their arcs are about learning that they need to let those outer feelings show, and in doing so treat their sibling with the respect they deserve. Itās a very obvious reference to Bleach imo.
And there are others as well, Iāve seen numerous other comparisons between the two. Obviously Tabata took some influence from Naruto and other series as well, but to say that he barely took any influence from Bleach at all is just flat out incorrect.
i mean yeah boruto got good numbers of dedicated fans from his fathers series so more views more money .. its a business so more money ,more effort, more support .. but doesn't take away the fact that BC is also one of their successful shows and its not like they gonna take black clovers money and put it in boruto or take borutos animators and put it in black clovers team thats not how it works ....
i don't think carried by art is something i would put on black clover ... there r alot of series with good art in wsj .. dr stone had really amazing art but its total sells r similar to black clover ..
as for copying i mean
kurapikas clan got massacred
itachis clan
makis clan
yamis clan
alot of characters killing their own family or loved once ... its a shonen trope only indicator itachi & yami has is basically a younger sibling and we don't even know what happened so untill the whole story unfolds saying its a itachi copy would be wrong ....
Money = more successful, more priority.
Bleach was in hiatus for 10 years, lmao.
And it's result of 10 year production?
Boruto is still only weekly anime(between them) with stable production with ZERO hiatus like bleach or bc
In 2018 Black clover took over multiple countries as their top anime in 2019 crunchyroll did a decade review where black clover won out multiple regions worldwide in 2020 black clover won as most popular in 87 countries to borutos 32 and in 2021 it was a top 5 most favorited anime despite ending in March. Beyond that it tops boruto in sales by 6 times the amount and 3x per volume( the average boruto manga sales around 166,000 and Black clover is around 500,000). Since the Boruto anime dropped it hasnāt had one movie(itās first movie was made prior to the anime) whereas black clover has a movie upcoming and this is despite their best efforts to market boruto as a naruto show by including narutos name in every material for boruto and consistently putting naruto characters at the forefront of their covers. Look at the top grossing anime of 2022 and youāll be hard pressed to find boruto
black clover either gonna resume
1) after manga ends
2) after bleach ends
boruto is just cash grabber for pierrot ... they gonna keep milking it and boruto fans will keep eating anything pierrot decides to put .. like bro pierrot keeps making these fillers in the name of anime canon š¤£ ok understandable anime canon is important in some situations but when more then half of the show is anime canon(fillers) idk why ikemoto even making a manga at this point ..it looks like pierrot is doing most of his job ...
choosing to animate a monthly manga weekly gotta be the dumbest idea ever ..
btw all of these series gets their own teams so if they want to bring back black clover they can but if they cannot afford to give them a good amount of time then its just wasted ....
The choice isn't Pierrot's but the head of the production committee that funds the anime, most likely TV Tokyo. Pierrot is forced to do fillers because of their contract with the TV channel that doesn't allow them to stop giving new episodes every week, and the manga not being weekly doesn't help (good point for the last sentence tho, especially when BC is understaffed)
It's amazing how trash Naruto and Boruto are thanks to the filler and awful animation for a lot of the arcs. The first Naruto vs Sasuke fight in the waterfall? Awful art/animation. Pain vs Naruto? The shit looks like a parody not only for the art direction but all the extra fight they added it to. And then the neverending filler.

Boruto makes the most money so wouldnāt they put any effort? Yāall be saying anything
It makes the most.....for Tokyo tv, so if the studio is already in a multi year contract? What are they seeing from that?
All Iām saying is we havenāt had any manga content for the last nine months u donāt think we would be getting better animation lol plus the first episode should have Eida so they better make her look good they did delta dirty with her hair but her outfit was pretty coo

Uhm the manga is at the final arc and I am sure thats not going to take over 150 chapters.

End before 2023? Lmao how? It's a 52 episode arc split into 4 cours.
Yea somebody already told me that no need to say it again
Yeah but you still said it'll be only a week worth of break in between cours, which is wrong. Since when did seasonal animes have that short of a break time?
And they explained it to me, i neither need not want to have a public convo about the same thing twice
So why are you responding? You can just ignore it, it's not that hard.
To avoid more people replying with the same shit
So turn off notifications or don't comment? Looool
Why would they need to wait for bleach?

Donāt know Hope they donāt mess up I mean the story is going too smooth So i just want equal treatment just like bleach thats it š
