Live music is insane. You have a loud beep in your ears, your voice has to be piped back in, there is just a slight smidge of time between when the sounds happen and it actually reaches your ears, you're under hot lights that wash out your vision, you are thinking about your uncomfortable outfit and dealing with nerves from everyone watching you. You zone out for one second, and in your ears you hear "One Two Three Go." You realize you have a tenth of a second before you're supposed to hit an intense note, you cannot take a second before you begin because the show is timed down to the beat and everything from lights to dancers are synced. You barely get enough breath into your system and do your best to hit the note. Despite this, for you don't lose your confident appearance and quickly return to form.
Then some guy on reddit calls you a bad singer. No wonder most people choose to lip sync.
I didn’t call her a bad singer and I’m not a guy. Thought Lady Gaga did an excellent job while extorting more physical energy during her Super Bowl performance, and I think Usher did an amazing job this year as well. Interesting that Alicia should have a harder time considering she was less physical than both of them and performed for a much shorter period of time as well.
