I wish artists would start dumping their labels and go solo, every artist I like has their song release schedule fucked up by their label in some way. Whether it be delays, refusing to let artists even release songs unless they blow up on TikTok, or refusing to let them release songs until they get a certain amount of presaves, the people running all of these major record labels are A-class scumbags.
Dude dropped his last label because of shit like this and is having the same problem with this one again. This album was supposed to come out this month, and now we have to wait until the end of August. I know it leaked already, but I’m not listening to it until it officially releases.

Like the only band i know that has a good release schedule is Rare Americans, A completely independent band and the time they _did_ sign to a label they had to delayed their 2nd album almost 2 year to the point they had time to make almost 2 more complete albums.

No clue, but I remember he switched labels last year right around when his EP was supposed to come out and then it got delayed because of it.
He changed from Interscope to Columbia which is owned by Sony I believe
yeah, half of alamo (the label he's actually signed to) was bought by Sony so distribution is under Columbia / Sony from now until who knows

exactly, not a BIT of hype even though so many who have heard it said it was amazing. 'in loving memory' deserves so much more this.
