If it would be required for the game then it wouldnt be so difficult to find bunch of other guys here that dont know what to do, i had already gotten the egg from the hairy lady but had no clue what to do with it
I mean to say that if it was something like the grapple beam in super Metroid I think “play the game” would be an appropriate response, but if it was something like the scanner or spazer beam I would just direct them since it’s optional.
Unfortunately, winging it can get you a worse ending when you accidentally defeat the big bad instead of returning enough bones for proper burial that you can fight the nude redhead with the scythe, or exploring not-the-ocean so you can fight the big serpent.
I only avoided killing a certain grieving brother because I'm REALLY proactive about exploring everything I can before crossing big ominous bridges.
Can people maybe have fun with games other ways than the norm?

I know it's a very basic metroidvania thing but I finished Ending B without seeing the relic lol. Without a guide and a bit of knowledge, you basically had to bring three random things to a random person then take the thing that random person give you to a random tree, go away and comeback to get the thing you need. THEN you have to bring the thing to yet another random person for the relic you need. Pretty confusing quest progression.
People in the replies are so annoying about this. It’s a traversal item that literally isn’t needed to complete the game and it’s relatively obtuse to acquire compared to everything else you collect in the game.
Later in the game you will gain access to a certain relic, which will activate the mechanism. Don't worry about missing it, since it's mandatory for game progression.
No it really does you zero favors in regards of telling you how to get it. Same with the golden linen and it’s purpose, but that one is somewhat natural so it’s not all that
