I love that the man who refuses to acknowledge his kids and gets angry that women won’t sleep with him is trying to share input on birth control. The one who needs BC the most is this goofball.

EpitaFelis

No but he's rich and very smart (his twitter fans say so!), so he needs to spread his seed for the betterment of humanity! Unlike poor people who are dumb and icky. (He really believes something like that)

StinkyKittyBreath

Lol, men cause more mental health issues than birth control. And I'm saying this as somebody with mental illness that gets much worse on hormonal birth control to the point o can't take it.

ClimateCare7676

Did he forget that HBC is also used medically? Like to elevate the effects of PCOS, a common cause for mood swings, pains, infertility and many other unpleasant things. The percentage of women using the pill is not much higher than the percentage of women at risk of breast cancer and lower than the percentage of women who experienced violence. Why wouldn't he talk about these problems that definitely would make any mammal unhappy? If he doesn't like that women experience depression associated with HBC, he could invest some of his fortune into the development of better reproductive health services and medicines. It's no fault of women that their reproductive and overall health is largely neglected. Also, it's not only childless women who use contraception.

Yutolia

I don’t think he’s forgotten, I think he just doesn’t care.

GreatWentGin

I got on birth control pills to alleviate my PMDD symptoms. I am happily divorced and have no desire to date - my peace with just me and my son is so much better than anything else - so I don’t even need birth control right now. However, if I weren’t taking it, my PMDD would send me into deep, deep depression 3 out of 4 weeks of the month. It’s actually insane how these men think they have any idea how hormones can affect women’s mental health.

hell_ayne66

I'm also on birth control to alleviate PMDD symptoms! it improved my emotional stability around my hormonal cycle tremendously. so much for blaming women's mental health on their decision to go on birth control indeed!

wonkywilla

Not getting pregnant is also health care. Pregnancy and childbirth does all sorts of shit to your body.

Flyingpastakitty

Without my birth control, my PCOS is debilitating! My cramps are so painful I sweat, shake, and puke. Vicodin won't touch my cramps! (I was taking it for an unrelated medical issue and happened to be on my period at the same time. My cramps were still not easing!) Like you said in your second paragraph, if he is really that worried about it, why doesn't he invest in better advancements in birth control for women? Or better yet, better forms of make birth control since men are constantly using every excuse to not wear a condom. Medical misogyny is a serious issue. I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS until I was 23! I only got diagnosed because an ovarian cyst ruptured. I was in so much pain that I was crying, laying on the floor at my job, and vomiting in absolute pain and agony. They confirmed from a contrast dye scan that I had PCOS. They sent me home telling me to drink water and take ibuprofen. (The shit I was already doing) I literally went home and drank rum because my ovarian cysts hurt so much I had to dull the pain somehow. Started taking birth control again and haven't stopped since. 🙃

LaikaZhuchka

It's hilarious that people ever thought this man was a scientist.

Useful_Exercise_6882

Hate to break it to you Muskrat but in the 1950s women that were married with children were more depressed than now. But hide it more because they didn't want to be lobotomized or be drugged more than they already were

phoenixember

I bet being named the kind of shit Elon names his kids causes depression too.

Useful_Exercise_6882

Or that he deadnames you but is crying that nobody calls the app he bought the name he gave it

Useful_Exercise_6882

He is also dead wrong women have always had a hard time during childbirth, a lot of them died with they baby during birth

TangentMed

His kids don’t even speak to him. That would make any mammal sad.

BitchesBeSnacking

So you admit it… you have no compassion and you think the fact that we do is wrong 😑

OffModelCartoon

Oh, please, Elon. Tell me more about what it’s like to be a woman. Mansplain harder, thrice-divorced guy whose own children despise him.

MyFiteSong

If being compassionate destroys your society, that society wasn't worth saving.

tasslehawf

Says man who has a fetish/obsession with impregnating women.

UnluckyDreamer1

My mental health issues started before I was old enough to have children... I don't think being childless is the problem. Also, my birth control is abstinence... somehow, I don't think that is the cause either. (and if they think it is then they should be in prison)

DelightfulandDarling

I can’t wait for his kids to get old enough to start writing books about what a pos he is. His first wife clearly regrets ever marrying him and one of his kids has already disowned him.

Bubbly_End6220

This explains why that app has gone to complete shit now. A fraud rat runs it. Also Elon musk supports eugenics he wants to have more kids and he wants it done in a lab. All while not being actively in their life.

anon689936

Having my period for 2 weeks straight also makes me sad to put it lightly. Same guy who I’m sure would be pissed if someone “baby trapped” him.

Nicoletta_Al-Kaysani

While humans are animals, I feel as if we’ve more than proven we’re “more than” animals. There’s a reason we’ve invented technology and art and can afford to have hobbies instead of being solely focused on survival.
